Listening to the recordings, it's not like they didn't have plenty of other bugs to deal with, but fortunately the LM disappearance was not one of them.
It’s a fun sim and I’m loving it but it is a bit buggy. Little surprised to see a whole space shuttle model in there before some of these big bugs squished but as a developer I get it, new shiny > polishing old shoes :) Great job there. I managed to get from launch to 2k feet before mine freaked out (suddenly pitched 90 deg onto my back but I had been having IMU issues on the descent so wasn’t too surprised). But I didn’t get my One Small Step badge on the 55th anniversary either so slightly bummed.
There's a Space Shuttle model? I didn't see any indication of that. Very nice getting from launch to 2000 feet above the surface - the IMU remains an issue for me, too, obviously.
I guess NASA redacted the recordings where Neil Armstrong says "Oh no, where's the LEM? Didn't we have a LEM just a second ago?". Classic.
Imagine that, a government program less buggy than most :)
