I agree the next gen car was not ready while it looks good they safety the bull shit areo change to ford at the very start of season after the car was approved and practiced all year putting every Ford team behind and nascars favoritism to Chevy is largely why that happened ...but flying wheels and fires the single lug nut a fan and when a wheel gets punted into the grandstands after coming off nascar change their tune like always when it is too late then the Fords keep caring fire wonder why nascar hummm let the damn teams build these cars from ground up like they used to do that way when something screws up it's on them seems like nascar can manipulate who wis who loses who catches fire and who runs like stinky ass who blows up and that is not right especially when NASCAR always favors Chevy teams

Harvick is right. Nascar needs to do something more to the next gen car to prevent such shitty parts from catching fire and lessen the crash impact of the drivers inside. Otherwise, love seeing the 43 (Petty GMS) back in victory lane and Jones the two time Southern 500 winner. Gotta love how other teams are winning races. The Lady In Black lives up to its name. More than half the playoff contenders went out of the race. 8.6 out of 10.

As a kyle busch fan I’m gutted. Tan in the top 3 literally all race after the sun went down he was the dominant car until truex came on late in stage 2. Then it was just a battle with him and truex where truex would get him on the longer run. Sucks for truex just a much but to lead half the race do everything right and just lose 30 points for a blown motor under caution is heartbreaking.

I had Jones winning Bristol, but dammit I'm just happy he finally got a W for Petty GMS. This year has already been insane with Chastain, Suarez, McDowell, Buescher, Reddick, and Wallace...now we have Eric Jones going into 2022 with a win and his teammate is Tony Stewart's son in all but name...it's gonna be fun
That said I do agree that this car has a lot of justifiable concern. The hard hits including Kurt Busch having to drop out of the season, the high number of loose tires, the fires with Harvick and Buescher lacking contact, and that parts shortage at the start which I'm sure played a role here...yeah this needs to get handled sooner than later.

No mention of Corey Lajoie? After the first caution he raced his way from last to 15th before the end of Stage 1 and stayed there for most of stage 2 until he stayed out with 30 to go in the stage to be the leader. And even on older tires, he still finished the stage in like 12th. Dude was doing great til half way through stage 3 when he just became the slowest car on the track for no apparent reason. He was putting on a great show from what I saw in the stands.

I said before and I will say it again. This next gen car is the equalizer of nascar! Yes it does have its flaws, but I'm loving the diversity in the wins. New teams, small teams and old teams are winning! The car still needs tweaking. Classic example of what works great on paper, doesn't always hold true in real life. What works great in a control environment, is not guaranteed success on a track
