Isabela’s prophecy DID come true. The life of her dreams-one without perfection-ended up coming true Her powers ended up growing-she learned to grow up other types of plants Just a thought
Bruno : "your power will grow, and you'll be able to grow grapes on vines !" Isa: "so you're saying that my power will grow just like grapes grow ?" Bruno : "... Yeah sure"
I've formulated a hole theory on why Bruno's predictions sometimes come true and sometimes don't. Like, Isabella's prophecy held up, but Dolores's didn't. At the end of the movie she did get the love of her life, no longer out of reach or foretold to another. Also both prophecies foretold to Mirabel, one with two possible outcomes and one saying that to save the miracle, she had to make up to Isa. But that wasn't really true? She had to make up with abuela to make things right. Maybe his future vision can only see so far into the future? Or it predicts how people will react AFTER hearing it? Idk dude
I have to say, the English wins for one simple reason: Isabel(l)a isn't just a name for a person, it's also the name of a popular type of grapevine. Many of the names of the Madrigals are connected to their powers: Camilo -> Chameleon Luisa means Renowned Warrior Julieta -> famous cook, Julia Child (maybe a stretch but it works!) The fact that they lampshade Isabela's name meaning with the grapevine reference is absolute gold, IMO.
I also heard Antonio was named after Saint Anthony of the Abbot apparently Saint Anthony was honored to be the patron saint of domestic animals. Antonio can also mean "priceless".
German uses "wriggling vine." So there are some languages that keep it. But regardless of language, I don't envy anyone who has to translate Lin's epic music. His lyrics and melodies are so amazing. Matching them in other languages while keeping the rhythm must be so difficult.
Yes I see what you mean. I even feel that Greek as a language sounds vaguely similar to Spanish as well, similar phonetics maybe, so it helps. The singer too has a natural bounciness to her voice similar to Latino singers.

JESUS CHRIST Abuela's part is so intense here! Hahahahahahahaha
Also, dang...the Viatnamese version is kinda deep. Like buds and thorns. That means there are both good and bad sides to her power. It's beautiful, but it's also sometimes painful for her because she is expected to act perfect all the time
IKRRR I WAS LIKE '????!!" for Abuela's part there 💀
In Brazilian Portuguese is:
