About a week ago I was in my front yard around 11pm when three dogs came aggressively running at me from across the street. All I had was my flashlight and a knife so I tried putting the light on strobe mode and pointing it at their eyes. Luckily it actually ended up scaring them off, but since I had that experience, I wish they'd make activating the strobe function less of a finicky process on the warrior 3.
You can access strobe from the tail switch if you set you light to the tactical mode
That lil detachable magnetic light is for incase you need to walk some distance at night, to the bathroom in the dark; it can be very useful , for some. 🔦
It's a great tool that's not considered a weapon by most people and is a great option for self defense

I purchase mainly two brand flashlights Olight and NiteCore. They both make excellent flashlights but the light I have been using while on duty is NiteCore’s P20IX. This isn’t to say Olight doesn’t have a light to compete with it but the NiteCore’s P20IX is one mean light that can break vehicles glass regardless which window almost instantly with no more than one or two mag hits. I really like the Olight Warrior 3 because it has a nice beam but on my job as a LEO in Detroit my NiteCore’s P20XI it suits my needs better. I can’t discount Felix or a coupon other brands sense this is just my opinion but Olight and NiteCore seem to be upgrading and improving their lights more. I also respect Olight very much for recalling a couple lights even though some people just don’t know how to lock them out even when a manufacturer has features to do so. I misplaced the holster for my Nitecore MH 10V2, didn't realize I'd left it on high mode when I shut it off, almost got burned. The proximity sensor sounds interesting.
The fact he paused and said “I should probably stop doing that.” had me rolling for 30 mins straight!

Flashlight are good self-defense weapons. When I tried to rob a house back in the day the home owner blinded me first with a bright light and then shot me in the head with a 9mm. I never seen it coming.
Great videos man; question, in and older video of yours you said the Streamlight, protract I think? 3 year old video :-) is the best self defense weapon, is that still you favorite edc? If not maybe a top 5 or whatever list would be great

I didnt even think about tactical flashlights during the fist pack episode. Maybe a 6 inch flashlight with a tapered back end for hammerfisting into peoples clavicles.
My drone will carry about 14 oz max weight. Do you think this would be a good light and light enough in weight to strap on it and use as a drone spotlight?
Yeah I wish Olight would have made the teef less aggressive and put the proximity sensor.
I've got 2 of the original ones in red/black and camo so won't be getting rid of them.
These flash lights are great but not in a place with lots of metal sawdust. Had the previous olight get stuck on when sawdust got stuck to the magnetic switch.

You should start doing night tests with these lights so people can see them in action. Your videos are hilarious. I like how your always saying the lights can be used to beat someone or blind them lol. It’s funny how you keep blasting yourself when you turn them on 😝. I should start a UA-cam channel for companies to send me stuff to test. I like flashlights and all kinds of cool stuff. Love OLIGHT flash lights ,they are durable. Ive spent so much money on flashlights 🔦that I’ve destroyed by dropping accidentally. I give them away so I can upgrade. Just. Got warrior 3 s today. Did have the the seeker 2 pro then seeker 2 now warrior 3 s… more like downsizing…lol .can’t wait for it to charge up and use my next nightshift th moonlight setting . Seeker. Was very bright . Needed a slimmer but not too small,

I've been carrying powerful lights for at least a decade and so far I've not burned a hole in my pants. I've gotten very close a few times though. Talk about a hot leg.

M2R Warrior Pro Vs 3S Vs Warrior Mini
Which do you all think is more worthwhile to get?
Depends on use. I have the M2R Warrior Pro and the Mini. M2R is a chunky boy for some pockets but has a bit better throw if I remember correctly. Both are bright. At work I carry the Pro, when traveling I carry the Mini. Don't have the 3S so couldn't say.

I love your unboxing and it sounds like a great product I am looking to buy! I am just a little concerned tho with the terrible reviews Olight has on Trustpilot people complaining about: Extremely long shipping times, bad website, overpriced Chinese products, bad customer service, half a year of waiting to get a refund, and more. Are the allegations true or is Olight worth it?
I have yet to get a bad one or have any issues with ordering. I cant speak to Customer Service or Refunds (see point 1).
I just asked some of buddies that have their own small collections and it was the same for them.
So, while not gospel, I can say that 5 guys and, between us, maybe 25 fashlights is the sample size I can speak for...all pocket-carry EDC that get retired to bags and vehicles (for me anyway). Take it for what it is worth.
Also, no brand loyalty here. I think brand loyalty is embarrassing.
My EDC is a Warrior 2 Mini, and it is dinged and scuffed and worn...but it always works how I need it to.
Negatives that I can come up with for it....hmm
-The full push should ALWAYS activate even when locked
-I have a rangerband under the clip going around the flashlight because under force it can pop off (My seatbelt grabbed it twice when I carried it on my belt by the clip...now it is in-pocket like my knife on the opposite side)
-I dont like the magnetic charger. I have had NO problems with it ever and it is easy...but I just dont like requiring another cord...USB-C option please!!!
Edit: I forgot my collection of i1r 2 EoS mini-lights. I have too many, they are on everything....I think they are breeding because I keep finding more. They are, in MY opinion, the ultimate keychain light!
Edit2:I typed this quick before watching the vid...The i1r2EoS is the one he has on his keys.
I've only ordered from them as a customer twice. I have no idea how long it took because I didn't need them by a certain time and don't pay attention. All my other interactions have been as a paid influencer, so I couldn't possibly give you a real, unbiased review of their customer service. I've never had anything not work, so I've never had to return anything.
I have carried Olights daily for years and haven't had any fail. Never had to deal with customer service either. On sale I think they tend to be very good value for the money.

Don’t replace, keep them both. As outdoor activities, M2R can make a fire but warrior 3s can not.

Another question I have is. Does fear play a part in self defense. Like let's say I was open carrying a knife (I know you have said that they aren't good self defense weapons but it was the first thing to come to mind) on your belt. Will that stop would be attackers? If not could you make a video?
Sorry for the dumb questions. I'm kinda new to self defense stuff. Mom never wanted self defense weapons (like guns) in the house because "Why do you think you would need that? Nothing will happen to you. The world isn't a bad place" she would say more but I can't remember right now. Like I'm 25 and I know that is bull. Anything can happen. That's my opinion. I can be waaaaaaay off the mark.

Hi there like your content and as a small guy too i would like to have your advices and techniques about one thing I’m SURE you have to face too: when taller people grab your hairs
What the f can we do because it’s such a good grab/control (joke appart your head is wonderful and it’s a real question I had to face in real « physical encounter » and could just grab his jacket around the shoulders to control the arms and upper body and try to rhino push him backward/upward while my head was around plexus area to make him fall but didn’t work guy had footwork just managed to get some wall slams nothing really effective, also couldn’t let go the shoulders grab because he could pull my head more and punch me with other hand, couldn’t stop pushing or he could put distance and so knee me or anything)
Also could be useful for ladies out there

What if they had a tactical mini flashlight with a motion sensor on it. So if you hear someone breaking into the front door you can set up like 5 of them in your room pointed at the door (or have them set up when you go to bed) Then the more movement it senses the more it strobes n stuff. Or set them up on shelves and stuff pointed at the front door before u go to bed. Or if you have to retreat leave it in ambush to suprise them and then pop off some shots when it goes off. Or a double lense with continuous light stream on one lens and extreme strobe on the other lens to disorient.
Then you can make a video with paintball pistol or pellets that mark and the tactical lights and masks to see how it affects accuracy with different combos and if strobe is useless or not.
Motion lights. You just tried to invent motion lights. Just go the hardware store. They have them.

I sent my warrior 3 back because they said it was a recall. They had 3 options so I went with getting the mini two. If I would of known they were coming out with a replacement, I would of asked for full refund. SMH 🤦🏽 I’m still waiting for the Credit $30.00 due to the recall. Not buying any Olight from now on.

Is it true ? Turbo mode is no longer available once the battery charge is below 75%? "1lumen" reports this on its test of the Warrior 3 and some consumers notice the same thing with the Warrior 3s.
I think that's correct.
@@hard2hurt, Hum... It's the same particularity on the PD40R from Fenix : below 80%, the Turbo mode is no longer available.
But it's really a shame for the Warrior 3 / 3s which have a tail switch with direct access to the Turbo. Fully charged, these flashlights are pretty good, IMO.

I have already tried once (and only once...) to start my Warrior 3 in Turbo mode and let it light up for two hours, battery fully charged (4 lights out of 4). Two hours later I went to the results : the head was fiery and the body of the flashlight very, very hot. The side switch indicated 2 out of 4 battery lights, the Turbo mode was no longer available and fortunately in this case: the battery was also fiery... Lithium batteries do not like heat, it reduces their lifespan faster than any other flashlight component. In the end, maybe it's just as well, after all.

300 lumens will blind a person because of the candela, not so much the overall lumens.
This is a light I would buy because it actually has a charge port, not a magnet. I don't need another cord to add to my car when my phone and headphone charger will work.
