Honestly if i had to pick one id pick the 3s because of the longer run times of the 21700 battery
Yeah, fair call. I prefer the mini 3 but that's mainly due to it being easier to pocket.
I hope they add the upgrades from the mini 3 to the warrior, with the new tail button, metal side switch & sensor. Maybe a Warrior 3s Pro/Max.
Yeah I'm pretty sure they will. Very significant upgrades!
Sounds like an Iphone name lol 😂🤣
Same feeling with you, and they've added new tail button to the new warrior X4, with a type-c port
The bigger 3s is potentially useless. All lights have limited run time on turbo before step down to manage heat. On this one though turbo won't activate once the battery is below a 75% charge. Tough luck if you need it after that! Never known any other light with this restriction.
Yeah the turbo step down is a pain - could definitely be less conservative. Warrior Mini 3 is my fav one to EDC.
The biggest thing for me is that the s3 is able to withstand recoil.
That's good to know, for me it's not a huge issue other than it protects the light if I drop it
I'm guessing they both can. And did you mean 3s?
Im not into Olight throwers, only the regular big point, and i own many of them. But in this case, the 3S for the badass look. The other one looks like an innocent Batton.
The warrior X3 is the serious one :D
There is no comparison: the 1750 Mini 3 can go into turbo multiple times but the 2300 Warrior 3S is only good for 2.5 minutes, then 1 minute if you need turbo a second time then recharge before turbo will function again.. absolute marketing BS! So essentially with the Warrior 3S you get a greenish tint 800lm high for 166 minutes with 2.5min of turbo..
That's the issue with putting the SFT70 and higher powered LEDs in small hosts. Runs too hot and fast step down. But running them in lower modes in those hosts is incredibly efficient. Produces more light.
@@DarrenYeoYT - Nice review and thanks for the reply.
@@ynotjfthanks mate
For tactical, though, they should have one-click strobe. My old Olight Striker allows me to set the rear button to immediate strobe. It's my EDC. Why these don't have it available on a single click, I've no idea.
Warrior 3 mini has a dual UI, so you can set it to momentary strobe when full pressing the tail switch. Can't remember if the 3S has this same feature.
Hi Darren, Do you think the warrior mini 3 is still worth buying today? Or there's more better options with the same form factor and performance out there
Yeah it is, for a small tactical 18650 light, it has a great size to candela ratio. Otherwise, there are tons of other 18650 tac lights with better performance. This one is just the easiest to pocket.
As someone who is also concerned with self defense, I’m curious about how the two flashlights would compare when used as blunt weapons by striking with the bezel.
Both bezels are smoothed down, no sharp edges. You'd be able to break a window fine. But I'd recommend the larger one.
Pd36r pro or the olight 3s?
I'd rather the Fenix if it were a survival situation as I can use other non-proprietary cells, charger. Otherwise the Warrior S3 looks and feels cooler haha.
@@DarrenYeoYTgot it !😊
@@DarrenYeoYT may you do a review on the edc35 vs pd36r pro
Haven't had any luck getting samples from Nitecore unfortunately @@Mrmosx1
I got to get me one of those.!
Which one!?
@@DarrenYeoYT olight warrior 3s black stonewash titanium finish look good.!
Now, the 3s can disable the proximity yes? Can the mini disable the proximity sensor as well?
Nope I didn't find a way to disable it on the Warrior Mini 3
@DarrenYeoYT
Of course it works.
Read the instruction manual!!!
Figure 17
"Obstruction caused downshift within 5 seconds, side switch operation = Double press"
Both these lights struggle in the candela area. Other 21700 lights are pushing 50,000 plus candela.
I carry around the Warrior 3 Mini a lot these days because of the larger hotspot :D not as intense but it's useful for walks.
@@DarrenYeoYT Nitecore is sending me the new MH12pro with the new led tech. Looks impressive on paper.
@@DarrenYeoYTi prefer by far my mini 3 that my 3 x
@@Guenounovitch I find the mini 3 is the perfect size to EDC. But still has tons of power.
Yes because candela is so important in everyday use.
Over priced for what you get imo
They have some sales on each month, some significant discounts on specific models
Broke ass hater
What do you recommend for the same functionality for lower price or even same price?
@@blakeolson2036Nitecore EDC33 is very good at a lower price. Look at Sofirn flshlights, too. They are good quality, great UI and lower price then premium flashlights.
Well for, "same price" just get this flashlight lol @@blakeolson2036
