I'm full-blooded Navajo (Native American, First Nation, American Indian) from AZ, honestly there hasn't been a music video that has truly touched my heart and almost made me cry. This video has, thanks for showing appreciation for a people group whom the rest of the United States seems to forget is still alive. Ahé'héé from my heart.
Silent Planet is one of the most forward-thinking and progressive metal bands I've listened to. I've been with them since the beginning and cannot wait for this next chapter. Native Blood is riveting and thought-provoking. Love the video and song.
This is the type of music I consider timeless. No matter the amount of times I give this band a listen it's all fresh and so pleasent to my ears. Can't wait to hear the rest of these sounds on the new album.
Its 2024 and i will never get over this song. So many years have passed since i first heard it and it still speaks to me as a native american woman. Thank you for this, members of SilentPlanet. Thank you.
They went to a free local show by me that attracts thousands of people each year, idk if you've heard of it but it's called iMatter. Anyways, they've never had a band come twice, yet their planning on bringing them back every year if they can, silent planet is way too good to go unnoticed
+Nick Luciano Yep. I was there too. I saw them again yesterday at another festival and I'm seeing them again in Philly in like 3 weeks. They are AWESOME!!! \m/ \m/
This is probably the best video I´ve seen in a long long time. Lyric, voice, drums, bass, guitar. I don´t know … I sat on the bus yesterday home from work. Relaxing in my own bubble, listened to Trap Them, made searches on UA-cam, found your new release. I almost cracked the handlebar in front of me on the bus. Headbanging, felt awkwardly anxious what was going to appear at home. I went off the bus. Took the stairs. Listened repeatedly on "Native blood". Hedbanged. Opened the door. My pregnant girlfriend was standing in front of me. I headbanged, and didn't´t know if this was a good time to cry.
Holy shit.... Congrats on being legitimately awesome, and on actually being original in every aspect of this video and song guys. Immediate respect. Love it
Am I the only one who gets chills and has an eerie feeling from 3:38 - 3:50 when the guitar is playing that melody while the pictures of past native Americans flash on the tree? Knowing what happened to them and everything they had to go through... Damn. That was a surreal feeling.
My wife is half full blood native. When I look at her and think about all the land I live in and look around this was all theirs. They had it stolen and all the things they did to them. To just give them a little piece of land in return and some money. Like that will wash away the blood. Its incredibly sad and it makes me happy I can bring some happiness in her life.
These dudes are actually insane. That mix... holy.. everything was so smooth and tasteful. Not to mention the message being delivered? This song is a bop.
Amazing. Seriously. Was watching a playthrough of the drummer & happened to end up here. Vocalist (screamer) is something special. His presence & voice draws you. Looking forward to discovering more work dudes!
I got chills when i saw them play it live. I love this band and their message and hope to see them go far. It's only been a year since I first discovered them and they've come so far. 11/10 I'm counting down the days.
Lyrics and Melody. What is outstanding about Silent Planet is the way their music and lyrics get along, they work with each other to make sure they connect and the listener can get the message. the creativity is amazing, I love the way the lyrics are written in such a poetic and metaphoric way. Regarding music, I'm a drummer and your drummers technique along with the other instruments make your music so entertaing to listen, my favorite song is still Darktrand:Hibakusha, still gives chills like the first time I listened to it, and it's amazing how you took that feeling and brought to a local american story, the way you narrate and explain is.....flawless. Your album will be definitely a must-have
This song is so powerful, "you built your fathers house over my mothers grave" one of the many hard hitting lyrics of this song. Keep up the good word guys and God bless !
One of the best bands ever, in my opinion. They put on the absolute best live performance i've ever seen, and everybody in the band is super genuine. Amazing band
Silent Planet continues to humble me from their first album up to the present. I always look at the lyrics before I listen to the music because some bands struggle to match the two; however, Silent Planet seems to evoke a great deal of bone-chilling passion in their music in conjunction with their lyrics. Native Blood is in my music "hall of fame" without a doubt, along with City Grave. The amount of effort put into these lyrics and music is almost inhuman. I was going to write this feedback due to my love for the band and for the giveaway, but really, I am in love with this music so much that it deserves some positive feedback. Here's to the musicians/lovers of life of Silent Planet, you have inspired me to live life beautifully and to strive to love more unconditionally. Everyone has their story and thank G-d you all have yours as well. This music has touched my soul and has indubitably touched many other souls. G-d most certainly wells up within your words. Your friend, Chris
I met Garrett at warped and he is such an amazing person. Gives the best and warmest hugs! Bless him and this band. I'm so thankful to have the opportunity to enjoy their music! Favorite song along with the song 'Tiny Hands (Au Revoir)'. Hope to see you all again soon!
Honestly I can say that I have rarely had a band catch my attention like Silent Planet. I heard this song and bought their album without hesitation, and I was not disappointed. The songs are well crafted with excellent musicianship and great lyrics. What really got me though is the very last song - it was outright innovatively poetic. I got goose bumps listening to it. I can't recommend this album enough. Please consider coming to Canada SP - we would love to have you.
I love this band and this song. I'm a Native American from Cherokee, North Carolina I am one of many people on the reservation that loves this band. My tribe was forced to move from North Carolina to Oklahoma many years ago, also known as (The Trail of Tears)
Ever heard of mewithoutyou ? Each album is much different tho.. I point to the older but based on your comment I think you may have a solid appreciation.

Wow, since A Feast For Kings stopped making music, (RIP Eric Gentry) I've been trying to find a good band like them. These guys have very similar sound. I think I may have found what I'm looking for!
Hey guys! If you're a fan of Silent Planet I really recommend checking out Life in Your Way. They're one of the earliest bands to do it, yet they're still going strong and they could use the support. Cheers!
The vocalist, not just vocally, but visually, has a great presence about him. It makes me want to watch. Definitely will check out the rest of the album!
This band is amazing! I listen to the new album almost every day! And I am super humbled to say I was able to play a show with these guys once at the church in Denver Colorado!!! Alex used my kit as well. Awesome dudes! Hopefully I met you guys again in the future!!
The thing about your music that sets you apart, SLNTPLNT, is the knowledge and call-to-action with-in. It isn't just yelling into a mic for a good-tune-to-mosh-to's sake, it makes me desire action. We learn from history, and if we don't know our history then we are apt to make the same mistakes again. If we don't recognize the faults in humanity, and don't actively try to overcome those faults and encourage our brothers and sisters around the world to stay on top of that too, we are going to make the same mistakes. Your music reminds me to keep on top of that, and to keep striving to become more Christlike, because that is how things get done.
So freaking excited for this new album! I've been in love with this band ever since I saw them play in Nashville and I can't wait to see them again in Nashville next month!! The greatest decision I have ever made was pre-ordering this album. This song is just ridiculously beautiful.
Musically spectacular. Deep and thoughtful lyrically (who else annotates their lyrics?). Let America never forget this dark part of our past. Looking forward to this release and to the fruitful years ahead for this band.
You guys are incredible, and so is your cinematographer. The vocals convey such raw emotion and I love the weight of the message, something I wish more music focused on in these important times of change. Probable candidate for new member of favorite bands.
I feel these bands are really good because they put so much personal emotion into their music and lyrical writing. It's no longer just music, it's their words that they live by and hold close.
Yeah man same honestly. Fit for a King, Dayseeker, Forevermore... When they put faith into their words it just makes everything that much better honestly.
spitoutblood Dayseeker isn't necessarily Christian or religious. They made that clear on their Facebook page when getting questions about the song "Hollow Shell."
This is incredible. I'm so glad I found these guys. They are my new favorite and have been on repeat for days, and I'm sure weeks and months to come. Timeless.
So much awesome music being put out through Solidstate Records lately: Forevermore - "Telos," Fit for a King - "Slave to Nothing," and soon Silent Planet - "The Night God Slept." Psyched for what's to come!
In this novel the Earth called the Silent planet by the aliens because nobody have contacts with it, since the Earth itself is something like an Exclusion Zone because of the war between the angels and the demons (who occupied it). It is a really nice fantasy book by the way.

I saw you guys a couple summer's ago in Louisville, and my only regret is not buying your EP. Everything you guys have released have been beautiful and this track makes me so excited for the new album that's coming out. I can't wait to see you guys next month!
The end of this video is bringing me the tear in my eye. Though the music is not so diferent as they're trying to pretend. that this is some complicated pseudo-intellectual genre. But anyway this is very good stuff, deep soul!
I almost never comment on videos as there seems to be too much internet drama these days, but I thoroughly enjoy this band and this song. Very well preformed and produced!
Been jamming these guys for awhile now. I love the intensity the vocalist brings to the table. Sad they cancelled the date they were playing with my band.
“You built your father’s house over my mother’s grave” such a powerful line.

"We were dressed in potential, now we're draped in sorrow."
Such, a powerful song. Chilling.

Potential? Had the natives even invented the wheel before Europeans arrived? NO.
Potential?
That’s laughable.
The fact that this band gives references to its lyrics from other sources makes it even cooler!

Seen Silent Planet live in Portland with August Burns Red for their constellations tour! Great live!!
Dude Im very jealous, I love ABR and have just started listening to this band
I'm not hating you.. I just need a moment to examine my life.

The thing about your music that sets you apart, SLNTPLNT, is the knowledge and call-to-action with-in. It isn't just yelling into a mic for a good-tune-to-mosh-to's sake, it makes me desire action.
Silent Planet? Hmmm... I wonder if this comes from C.S. Lewis's stories. It'd be sick if it did. Love it.
Joshua Martinez Yup!! C.S. Lewis!!!
Yeah dude! The name came from "Out of the Silent Planet". I'm pretty sure Garrett, the vocalist, is a huge C.S. Lewis nerd.
Been jamming these guys for awhile now. I love the intensity the vocalist brings to the table. Sad they cancelled the date they were playing with my band.
