    LYRICS:
Let go of all that you perceive.
    Everything's not as it seems.
See today for what it is, not what it can give.
    Make your way.
    You’re lost within.
    That's no way to live.
Good we've given, bad we've committed, but we believe we’re all forgiven.
The mark of a man is not where he stands when all is right in then world.
It's what he does when the chilling wind threatens to break down his door.
    Inhale the bravery.
    Exhale the worry.
His life on the edge, but his soul survives.
His sanity is stolen, but he's civil inside.
They hold his feet to the fire hoping he'll be inspired.
The rocks at the bottom will know your name.
Don't let shame replace who you'll be with who you are.
Contempt is a weak metal for building anything of wonder.
Ask a man on his deathbed what he truly believes.
He will say it's not the trophies or the places he's seen.
The unanswered questions leave the greatest impression.
Let go of all that you perceive.
Everything is not what it seems.

So much variety in the song from measures, break downs, and absolutely beautiful melodies! My God, seriously, I haven't stopped listening to them! While this whole album is complete gold, this song always stands out to me as exceptional both musically and lyrically. Pardon me for the length (and lateness) of this post, but every time I listen to it, I visualize a music video:
0:00 - 0:30 It starts by following a jaded police officer as he is patrolling down the street. He views the world in subdued colors - nearly gray scale. It then cuts to a young boy (maybe about 7) as he is sitting the back seat of a car looking out the window. The boy's world is bright and full of wonder. The camera trades back and forth a couple of times between them showing their unique views.
0:30 - 0:59 The officer stops to break up a domestic altercation between a drug-addicted/drunk couple who are fighting on the side of a busy street. He arrests the male for hitting the female and then the officer has to deal with the male yelling in his backseat while he books him into jail.
0:59 - 1:27 The boy arrives at a park. His parents let him out and he runs around happily playing.
1:27 - 1:41 The officer finished booking the guy and is back on patrol. Exhaustion and apathy is shown on his face.
1:41 - 2:09 The boy gets back into the car and his parents are driving home. The officer pulls up next to the boy's car while waiting at a stop light. The boy waves at the officer and the officer briefly waves back. The light turns green and the boy's car goes.
2:09 - 3:06 Another car from the cross street runs a red light at a high rate of speed and plows right into the boy's car causing a disastrous wreck right in front of the officer. The boy's car goes off the road and hits a rise causing it to roll over, landing upside down. The officer runs over and starts pulling everyone out of the car. The boy's parents are unconscious and badly wounded. The boy is miraculously unharmed and stands there in horror watching as the officer starts rendering aid to try to save his parents. The ambulance arrives and the boy's parents are taken to the hospital. The boy rides with the officer to the hospital.
3:06 - 4:16 Everyone arrives at the hospital and it's discovered that the boy's dad is dead. As the doctor tells the officer, he sits and comforts the boy. His mother is alive, but still unconscious. They sit by her bed for a while and the boy and the officer talk. The boy's vision begins to see subdued colors. The mother wakes up and the boy hugs her. The officer's view starts to regain its color.
4:16 - 4:40 Flash forward to the dad's funeral. The officer is there to support the boy and his mother. His world is now seen in full color as he sits with the boy and his mom.
4:40 - 5:11 Some time later, the officer is seen taking the boy to the park and spending time with him. He understands that he isn't a replacement for his father, but he now wants to bring the color back to the boy's life the way that the boy brought it to him.
