This is not just music, this is not just sound. This is something more. There is such passion, beauty in everything these guys do. Silent Planet are trully one of a kind and The Night God Slept is probably one of the best "modern" metal albuns I've ever ever heard. Keep your eyes open guys, these guys are about to conquer the world.
Agreed. Hands down some of the most beautifully passionate metal music I've ever had the pleasure of listening to and seeing live. I'm so excited for their next album.
I saw them live this year... And you have no idea... They ended on this song and I got on the crowd, and he was up on the crowd being held up. And I was crowdsurfing literally right beside him during the breakdown. It was probably the best thing I've experienced
Never, man. Never. They came to Prague and nobody seemed to know the band. And Garrett came down when the final part was to come and like 5 people gathered in a circle and we yelled the lyrics at each other
The thing with Silent Planet is that no other band in this genre sounds like them. I've never heard more passionate metal than this band ever before. This band is truly special and I'm so glad they exist. This is passion. This is true music. If you ever see them live, you will notice the rawness that can be felt at their show. The whole feel of their music live will give you chills.
+ForcedIntoFire Garrett never even wears shoes at a show. He's always barefoot. I asked him after a show a few weeks ago, and he said yep, always. These guys are just the realest dudes ever. So passionate about what they do. It's great stuff.
+0stringking0 Micah's screams are a lot more violent in its nature while the unclean vocalist for this band is a lot more passionate than violent. Plus, Micah tends to write extremely dark topics that a lot of people find offensive for a Christian lyricist to write about. I have heard that Christian stores banned Children of Fire when it was released a few years ago, because the main storyline talked about murder, rape and revenge in a world where God did not exist. For whatever reason, it made Christian parents freak out that a Christian lyricist was allowed to write about it instead of songs that solely worshiped their creator. This band tends to write philosophical topics expressed with emotion by the lead vocalist. So no. They're not a copy of Oh, sleeper.
The message, The passion and the technicality these guys bring to modern metal is just refreshing. Just when you think all hope is lost and the era of good music is passed us by. We get Silent Planet. Welcome to the world of spreading gods message with brutal lyrics and instruments! Fuggin, luv it.
I discovered this band when I saw them live with For Today and Gideon and they freaking killed it. Silent Planet deserves so much more recognition than they get
This song brings up so much emotion in me. Especially the Part where he says "When I slept in that garden, Lord did you see me as I was dreaming?" Cause I've know god but fall asleep. What I mean about fall asleep is that I know of my sin and of Christ but tuck him away. I tell people I have everything together and I am a liar. For God asked me why I have been sleeping. And I say I wasn't sleeping.. just waiting on him. When he's already told me what to do. I'm just a coward and don't wanna face my own sin. So... Oh Lord, teach me to see my sin. And remember you've removed all of it.For I've been asleep all along. And Have Been lying to myself and my God.
+Nova142 what about the end? why does he say you will watch me burn? that part got me even more....like does the lead singer think he will go to hell??
They played this in Arizona a few years ago, only because the power at the venue went out, and it was one of the most powerful moments I've ever experienced. These dudes are seriously some of the best musicians this planet has ever seen. Love you Garrett! Miss the few days we hung out on tour, man!
tonight I saw them and garrett jumped down in the crowed. so much passion so intense. it was amazing to share the mic with such a kind soul... you he grabbed me and pulled me in like a brother and stuck the mic in my face and together we screamed at the top of our lungs LORD DID YOU SEE ME AS I WAS DREAMING... hands down the best moment ive ever had at a show. caught up with him after the set too... I swear no more humble and down to earth musician walks this life.
The only other band that gives me that feeling of raw beauty and love like silent planet does is a band called For All Eternity. Music is powerful stuff. Hope these guys don't stop writing it.
You see, I have this reoccurring dream where we snuck past scores of slumbering guards and fixed that rustic iron key to that lock to set you free. "I would bring you liberty!" Where in reality I'm a coward. I'm collateral matter swayed by banalities of time and space. I'm a name without a face.
Awesome band!!!! Saw them live and the quality of the sound and stylistically is beautiful. And live, the sound of Silent Planet as a whole band is brutal!
Seeing this song live is something everyone should experience once in their lives. Their whole set was fantastic, but this song in particular stood out.
Recently discovered this band. Wow. So much emotion in their music and their videos are absolutely amazing. This is the kind of music that gets overlooked in the mainstream music industry. So damn good. Hope these guys stay around for a long time.
This band is pretty awesome. After reading the entire description I have found new reading material for a while. Not only this, the music is extremely sonically appealing.
i discovered them about a year ago, starting with antimatter, then collider, and very slowly moving to their other songs, and before i knew it, i absolutely loved every single track
I remember finding this band out listening to the bad christian podcast episode where underoath was talking about getting back together about a year ago. This song hit me like a truck and I knew I would love this band. Fast forward to today and I'm in a moment where my faith is tested and this song gave me hope that God has my back through this. I wanted to know what other bands sound like this because I really need this kind of music in my life.
I got to meet garett last night, they played at webster hall in nyc. Beautiful human being, incredible band. this song gives me chills... and very very few songs do.
I think i have bipolar disorder, and this song feels so relatable to me. The fact an artist shares the same problems as you, feels somehow comforting and yet it's like a curse, cause both suffer.
Silent Planet brings something new to modern metal. These guys are real songwriters, unlike a lot of the bands in this genre. This is what passion sounds like. This is what music is supposed to sound like.
Dang. I've never really been a fan of Silent Planet but this. This is just absolutely perfect. The vocals, the lyrics, the music everything just fits together so perfectly.
I really need to see them live again. I found out about them BECAUSE i seen them live back in 2016 and i really REALLY wish i had known them then so i could really appreciate how amazing this band is.
Lucifer Thank you honeybuns, You wont regret this. I am a changed man and I have been for quite a while. Im even gay friendly now! I have a gay nightclub!
To all the people reaching this masterpiece after listening Antimatter: welcome to Silent Planet.
This is not just music, this is not just sound. This is something more. There is such passion, beauty in everything these guys do. Silent Planet are trully one of a kind and The Night God Slept is probably one of the best "modern" metal albuns I've ever ever heard.

+Rui Carneiro Amen
Agreed. Hands down some of the most beautifully passionate metal music I've ever had the pleasure of listening to and seeing live. I'm so excited for their next album.
Jason LovesABR So do I. They so deserve it!
+Rui Carneiro Dude you are in the top comments of all the good unrated bands, i think i love you hahahahaha
NexusRetribution Well thank you man, I love you too
I just want to see them play this live so I can yell, "Lord, did you see me as I was dreaming?" This band is so fantastic.
I've seen this live 3 times...it really is amazing. Great new band.
I saw them live this year... And you have no idea... They ended on this song and I got on the crowd, and he was up on the crowd being held up. And I was crowdsurfing literally right beside him during the breakdown. It was probably the best thing I've experienced
+Logan McCockley That sounds absolutely incredible.
he got down on the pavement barefoot and kneeled singing those lyrics under a swarm of ppl it was UNREAL
Rebekah Brunson it’s fucking amazing live
Never knew that lemonade could be so powerful.
I will bring you lemonade!
beunjoris I cant help but hear that now lol
Tom Cunnington
I don't want the lemonade
I remember when they played this live. I've never yelled harder in my life.
+Ben M Same
+Ben M Same man. RocketTown in Nashville was so amazing. One of the best concerts i've been to. Garret is such a humble guy.
when the song dropped I lost my shit and accidentally punched a security guard in the neck.
+Ben M It was me, my friend and another dude going wild while all of beartooth fans were just kind of staring at us. It was pretty lit, if you ask me.
Never, man. Never. They came to Prague and nobody seemed to know the band. And Garrett came down when the final part was to come and like 5 people gathered in a circle and we yelled the lyrics at each other

They're essentially Oh, Sleeper
+0stringking0 no, they're Silent Planet. lol. I don't hesr any resemblence to Oh, Sleeper.
+0stringking0 Micah's screams are a lot more violent in its nature while the unclean vocalist for this band is a lot more passionate than violent. +0stringking0 aside from the fact that they're both modern metal bands Oh, Sleeper and Silent Planet are literally nothing alike.
1:15 "I WOULD BRING YOU LEMONADE!!!!!!"
+tdwpvsabr thanks. xD
+tdwpvsabr Exactly what I thought when I first heard it XD
+tdwpvsabr xD that was awesome
never heard more truer words absolutely poetic
HA! I had to look up the lyrics because I thought that couldn't be right.
The "Lord, did you see me as I was dreaming?" just pulls the tears out.
How is it humanly possible for music to be so gorgeously poetic?
Check out the Hotel Books. Especially the first 3 albums.
poetcore.
Eddie Coronado broo...
absolutely amazing! Video perfectly matches the song
@Gideon Colby This account and the account that replied to it are spam bots. Do not go on the website.
I feel like this needs to be a whole genre.
Post-metalcore?
My favorite SP song hands down
The message, The passion and the technicality these guys bring to modern metal is just refreshing. Just when you think all hope is lost and the era of good music is passed us by. We get Silent Planet. Welcome to the world of spreading gods message with brutal lyrics and instruments! Fuggin, luv it.
This band makes the hair on my arms stand, so much power in there music!!
What emotion! I'm so proud of guys. Especially my Spencer!!!
Thank you for your son. He's amazing lol
I have to agree!!! You're welcome! :-D
I love this.
+MattRach MATTRACH YOU'RE A GOD
No god bro!
I discovered this band when I saw them live with For Today and Gideon and they freaking killed it. Silent Planet deserves so much more recognition than they get
I'm glad this band is making it. Make bands like Attila get outta town.
Warped 2014 for today and atilla were together at warped xD they kept atilla at the monster stage far far away from for today xD
you can party with Attila, you can't with silent planet...
Timothy Williams while you're partying we are trying to save the planet from you dickheads.
Timothy Williams Parties with bad music suck
Everytime I listen to this song and he says "Lord did you see me as a was dreaming?" I get chills all over my body.
They sound like a metal La dispute, a good combo.
I was literally just thinking that!
Anna blr7 I thought the same thing!
Anna blr7 it dose have that feel

The song that started it all. So glad I was introduced to this band.

Most relatable lyric for me.
One of my favorite songs of theirs, love the video.
YES. I VE SEE THIS SONG LOVE TWICE AND LISTEN TO IT ONCE A DAY. IT NEEDED A MUSIC VIDEO
+zachisnotonfire1998 Yes thank you if any song on TNGS is rightfully deserving of a music video it's this one!xD
the lyrics draw such an incredible picture!
I get chills every time I hear that breakdown.
Where are all the Hotel Books fans? We need a collaboration between Garrett and Cam.
I feel so lucky I got to see them play this live heck I'm lucky to see them live...
i discovered them about a year ago, starting with antimatter, then collider, and very slowly moving to their other songs, and before i knew it, i absolutely loved every single track
Powerful lyrics and vocals, great instrumental build up leading to an amazing finale, what's not to love
This embodies the word "haunting."
Seen them last night! Amazing!
I love love this song so happy to see a stellar video to represent it love love love love love love love it
Mind-blowing... It's just amazing. This is pure emotion.
I hope I ever get to see these guys live. Please come to Portugal someday.
hearing this for the first time now... absolutely moving, this kind of style really makes me smile uncontrollably
The true genius that this band encompasses will never truly be appreciated to the extent that it should be. I pray that you continue making music.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
god i love his screams.. i can't quite say what makes them so great, but there's just so much emotion in them..
I remember finding this band out listening to the bad christian podcast episode where underoath was talking about getting back together about a year ago. Justin Davis listen to they will fall they're another really good Christian band with powerful lyrics
If I could learn songs by ear I would learn this in a heartbeat!
I got to meet garett last night, they played at webster hall in nyc.
Beautiful human being, incredible band.
this song gives me chills... and very very few songs do.
I think i have bipolar disorder, and this song feels so relatable to me. The fact an artist shares the same problems as you, feels somehow comforting and yet it's like a curse, cause both suffer.
wow I just wanna say I just found you guys and all I can say is amazing absolutely amazing
This song is more than a song. It’s poetry.
This is kinda like Architects and Hotel Books combined, wow. Absolutely amazing.
You guys, are another level, music, sound, performance, everything.
I hope to see you someday
Silent Planet brings something new to modern metal. These guys are real songwriters, unlike a lot of the bands in this genre. This is what passion sounds like. This is what music is supposed to sound like.
I suggest people jump on the Silent Planet bandwagon now before its to late.
Is it too late?
Tøxic Angel Nope they are still at the top of their game
They're about to take off. They're opening for August Burns Red's 10 year Constellations tour
Damn..Hope I'm not too late
@@cmorto99 better late than never :)
I love this band soooo much
Great song and great video.
This album is so atmospheric. I love it.
Dang. I've never really been a fan of Silent Planet but this. This is just absolutely perfect. The vocals, the lyrics, the music everything just fits together so perfectly.
This whole album is 🔥🔥🔥 Watsteland, Tiny Hands and Firstwake are some of my favorite metal songs of all time.
@@LMC5280 would like to update that I actually listen to them pretty regularly now haha. Really liked WTEB and Trilogy as well
And now, Depths III was released. What a journey
This song gives me extreme goosebumps
I love this song.
This is the end of everything...
Before...there is passion, love and intense intectual occupation and activities...
Very Good song and moment !!

I WOULD BRING YOU
*LEMONADE*
The lyrics are so poetic!
I WOULD BRING YOU *LEMONADE*
I really need to see them live again. I found out about them BECAUSE i seen them live back in 2016 and i really REALLY wish i had known them then so i could really appreciate how amazing this band is.
Hearing this live was just something else, far beyond understanding.
A guy at a show recommended this band to me. I feel so fortunate.
It's about damn time we had an instrumental version of this album.
omg I love them so much
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you spiritually motivated art.
Their name reminds me of CS Lewis' book "Out of the Silent Planet"
That's what it's from.
Gasp!
This song always sends shivers down my spine
Wow, This is true beauty
That single line: "...and that lock would set you free, and I would bring you..Liberty" So beautiful
God I cannot wait for some more silent planet
Where there in the clearing, through the gaps in the schmeez
Dark smoke flickered through fire illuminating my un-na-na-unease
Silent Planet, you guys friggin SLAYED this! Fantastic work of art
So, this is my 12th time watching this... I absolutely love it.
Love this song
God dammit Jarrod. I can't fucking unheard "And I will bring you, LEMONADE!"
This is a masterpiece, truely mesmerizing!
wtf how do i miss this great band damn i need more time !
So fkn good. Gives me goosebumps each time I listen to this song.
so glad I found you guys a few days ago!
This is really something else. See you in Prague. I hope I could get to meet you guys.
The first song i ever heard from you guys! 🤟
OH MY, THAT BUILD UP. MY EARS JUST CUMMED EVERYWHERE.
you know what up keep writing this art it is amazing
This is art
Amazing, saw these guys in Japan this year!
I really like how they write about non-cliche topics. It makes these guys so much more unique. I just wish I could understand the lyrical content.
They also have a song about the war crime your soldiers committed. Funny seeing you here.
Lucifer Hey man...I didnt want to do any of that...Peer pressure was a big thing back then!
Lucifer Thank you honeybuns, You wont regret this. I am a changed man and I have been for quite a while. Im even gay friendly now! I have a gay nightclub!
i keep seeing you everywhere i swear lol
Me?
Seriously. I aspire to write like this. This band is so epic❤️🤯 been listening for a long time❤️
So enchanting.
for some reason I get like a Pianos Become The Teeth kind of vibe from these guys, I dig it!
That piano... it's playing... ITSELF!
This has a strong ring of the old Disciple- By God/ Back again days with all their references, yet they also have a Oh sleeper sound.
Excellent stuff
