Great job on diff maintenance, especially for those who are starting out and don't want to take their trucks to the local hobby shop for maintenance/repairs👌👌. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe👍👍👍👍👍

@@WeissRC quick question if I may; I am picking up a Kraton V5 on a deal. Will it not have the slip plates but otherwise be the same?
@brucecampbellx you are correct. Unless someone swapped the diff(s) or manually added the LSD plates, it will be missing them. 👍👍
Nice video, i remember donating some of my EXB parts after smashing this one with the SBR2 🤣 I still run mine without a rear chassis brace
Hahahaha yes sir! When I was a jackass and parked right in the middle of the road! 😂😜 Thanks for stopping by bro! 😎👊
do you loctite those motor mount screws?
I didn't here, but I typically do... good catch! Just blue loctite. 👊
How do I get the Sun gear off?
I typically grab each opposing side, behind the gear, with 2 dental picks... I try to pry them evenly and wiggle the gear off. You can also try to wedge a small flathead behind the gear, and work your way 360 degrees around the edge, carefully prying it off. If you try to only pry on 1 part of the gear, it will bind up against the outdrive. 👍👍
If you're specifically working on the gear that's down in the cup, you can use screw the grub screw (overflow screw) within the case. Then, you can carefully insert a small flathead or pick through that hole to get behind the gear.
