I studied religion and Science and I struggled with massive addictions. it doesn't discriminate minds. almost every family has been affected by addiction in some way or another. you're saying he's a junkie as an insult to him? you'd get torn apart by experts and people who struggle with addictions every....damn....day.... once you do it and it feels really good it grips you mentally so that you want to keep coming back to it and nothing else feels that good for the most part. the only thing I found better is when I put God first and I live sober and he is in my life helping me but even still it's still a freaking struggle like you wouldn't believe to not give in,,,doesn't matter how much money you have or how smart you are, doesn't matter. they don't add it doesn't matter how much you love your family in your kids sometimes this stuff just overtakes you especially when you're away from them on the road and you have freedom and you have a chance to use after a show you come off of a high and now you want to feel even higher keep that high going there's so many factors so many "triggers everywhere" you could go to a certain neighbourhood and that neighbourhood reminds you of that drug or that drink and then you feel tempted and you want to do it you have no f****** idea Henry. Get educated on addiction. I'm only scratching the surface here.

Watching him play. The drums during my hero was probably one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen that takes guts a kid has talent. That kid has looks. This kid’s gonna have a really blessed, beautiful life. I’m so sad he lost his dad and I hope he makes different choices than his father.

His dad was a giving guy. When I heard the story about his credit card having all those charges each month (30k) because he was buying gear for the children in the music store because he wanted them to have nice gear to play their music really warmed my heart. It's great to give to charity don't get me wrong but it's really cool to get those types of gifts from him.
I can't imagine playing those two big shows in tribute to his dad but he did it and he played My Hero so hard like his dad. I had tickets to see them play again in May but it was not meant to be. I had faught two primary cancers squamous cell carcinoma that spread to my bones and endometrial cancer. I have seen them play several times but in the past five years I didn't get to go to that many shows and I was so looking forward to seeing them again. Now after two years of remission my primary cancer endometrial cancer is back and in my stomach lining so i fight again. I just hope to get back to remission to see some more bands in concert.

Man that's tough to hear that you beat it once just for it to rear it's ugly head again, dunno if you have ever looked into holistic treatment for cancer (can't hurt anything even if you wanna just do it on top of whatever treatment because it's literally just a change in diet, sounds like it wouldn't do shit but hear me out........ The gist of it is that all the crap we eat and drink today causes our blood to turn from it's natural pH of basic into a pH of acidic....... Well all the bad bacterias and virus's and cancer CANNOT survive in a medium, your blood, with a basic pH but they thrive in acidic conditions, so if you can turn your blood and body back to it's natural pH of basic all the bad shit literally will die off damn near overnight, there are thousands and thousands of testimonies here on YT of ppl who had even up to stage 4 cancers and was able to change their pH back to basic and the next month when they went to have their blood work done they were cancer free and their blood cells under the microscope looked normal again instead of all broken up and whatnot, doctors, well all the ones who are all about the $ anyways won't tell ya about it or even discourage it because they cannot make money off you if you choose to go that route but if you choose the radiation or chemo they make money off every treatment they prescribe because those treatments are the only ones in the medical field where the doctors actually buy it from the companies themselves then turn around on a markup and sell it to their patients......... Like I said it can't hurt to at the very least look into it man, best of luck to you brother!!!

Mr Shane Hawkins, I don’t know if you will ever see this. If someone knows how to get this in front of him, please do. Shane, you are growing up in Rock and Roll Royalty!!! Stay close to Dave. Listen to him, learn from him. He has had a long and solid career and been a huge parts of 2 of the most iconic rock bands in modern history with tons of great music. The world loves Dave and the Nirvana/Foo Fighters families and everything they brought to the world.
