I've heard that those valve guides can be pressed back into place, is that true? Can that cylinder head be saved?

yes thats true, but they might come back out. iused a used head. a new head is probely cheaper than having a machine shop fix the old one.

it can be fixed but the machine shop bill might be more then a new head.
