Me and my brother have a great time playing together on his Evercade Vs. console. Those bonus games they throw into the mix are amazing games also! Ir's hard to pick a favorite cartridge. Even the mid to low tier carts still have interesting history in their manuals and hidden gems never known or played on offer! I love your work John! Thanks for this mega-compilation!!!
Evercade is awesome I got into the ecosystem last December and own every cart including all legacy. Love the nostalgia of collecting carts with manuals and playing some of my favorites as well as discovering new games.
Great video John! You articulate the product well and show your passion for retro gaming. I really wish we could have gotten an Atari Lynx collection 3 or even a collection for the Atari Jaguar 🙂
Glad all your machines work, I bought my first handheld EXP which had a battery drain from full in ten minutes, my replacement went to black screen crashing every 30 seconds and my VS console bricked after two day's! All sent back and there won't be anymore Evercades for me, I did wonder if the company has a QC department?
I don’t really understand the appeal of the evercade. If it was fpga I think it would make more sense. It just seems like a really expensive way to play roms. What am I missing here?
When I first heard of it I thought the same, but the plug and play combined with curated collections works well. I found when I had an emulation device with thousands of roms I'd spend more time skimming through the list than I did playing them. on evercade I've played and enjoyed a lot of games I'd probably not have even tried on another device. That and there's the collector/physical media side if that's your bag.
@@genejoke8538 that’s a good point. The choice paralysis of emulation is definitely a real problem. Still, I feel like if I was going to collect something, I’d want it to be as authentic as possible. But point duly taken.
@@johnhancockretro Love your channel. I looked up the price of the carts, and it seemed high. I guess I’d rather make a larger down payment on hardware if it meant I’d get permanent access to authentic gaming experiences, and then I wouldn’t mind shelling out for what otherwise would be glorified roms. (Though it seems some companies are actually putting in some effort with translations of previously unreleased titles. )
I love my Evercade, especially the C64/Amiga cartridges. greetings from Germany!
This is the definitive video for anyone like me who has just started collecting evercade
Wow !!!! Awesome video as always !!!! Love your channel !!!!! You are the best

Hey John. Love your videos and its lovely to see such a top guy doing well on UA-cam.
Can’t wait for my VS-R to show up at the end of the month.
I'm proud to say that I have a shelf full of Evercade games, and I hope they keep it going!

Hoping to pick one up, thanks for giving me a list to pick from.
Good one John to hearing while coding.
Evercade is an amazing product to collect, very well done strategy.

I have the Capcom super pocket and it is great. I ordered the new one with Double Dragon.
Very nice!
Thanks John! This is perfect for listening to while winding down. Appreciate your work!
Immortal Marathon
I would love to see your CaderRanker ranking!
Thanks for doing this John!
I love Evercade, but they come with few games, and games are not on store, just online. Where is Capcom cartridge?
You didn’t mention Scramble. The best Atari game.
That’s because Konami
developed it and not Atari.

An FPGA would be more expensive and that would not work with the price they are targeting.

@@genejoke8538 it's not curated though. It's mostly trash.
