- I discuss the Red Wing Classic Moc 9075. I equate the 9075s to the 875s and 8111s. These are a must for any Red Wing collector especially since the leather will change on all the 9075s. The Black Harness Leather will change to the Black Prairie Leather which is not a true black. I hope you are able to snag these if want a true black Moc Toe.

I bought my husband a pair of these a couple of months ago and they’re my absolute favorite out of his whole boot collection and he has ALOT of pairs of boots. I love them!

I agree. Classic. My friend used to work at a Red Wing store a looong time ago and I think 875, 9075, 8111, and 8114 were the signature ones. Speaking of some time back, do you have any with the Red Wing logo on the sides? I think they’re better without but someone I know prefers them.
Yes, I agree the 8114s should be included in that list. I do not have any boots with the logo on the side. My Roughnecks came without the logo.

Just picked up my first pair of Redwings 9075 today, they were on the clearance rack marked down a 100 bucks. Guess I got lucky 🍀

I bought a pair of these and slapped a vibram sole on it, looks badass but I had to buy insoles because the boot was so stiff
Great review CJ and great boots, I enjoy watching your videos. BTW I just bought the Red Wing 2964 Moc Toe that you've reviewed few days ago, and now I have the 2964 and his brother the 2954 in a brown harness leather.
YES! Congrats! I really like the 2964s, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I like how they can be dressed up or down, their stunning silhouette. Folks really slept on those boots BUT guess what...? We didn't!!!

The 8130s are made with Chrome Leather which is a touch matte compared to the Black Harness Leather. In my opinion it is very subtle.

The Red Wing eraser works great. If you wet the eraser and rub it on the sole it will remove the dirt.

Question? I just bought these boots a few days ago at a size 9. In sneaker am a size 10/5. My first pair of red wing are 1907 size 9/5. My Irish setters workboots are size 9. The 9075s I got fit like a glove with some struggle in to it. What I was bummed about was that someone said they look kinda small. They kinda do. I don't know if it's the color or if I have to rely break the in????
I had that experience with the 8819s. I went down a half size with them and the fit is so much better. The 9075s (Black Harness Leather) are going to stretch for sure. I would not worry about them looking small. The fit and comfort is the most important thing.
Tell em to get a closer look then kick them in the face and then ask if they looked small then
Red Wing told me they're introducing a black prairie leather version but keeping the 9075 in black harness as well. However, I am skeptical of this and feel a vague sense of panic because I want them in black harness!
That is news to me. I was told they were going to be replaced...but hey, I would keep them both!
@@CJCook I honestly think maybe they told me wrong! I hope they keep both, but I feel like you were correct. Also, they are out of stock most places (including the Red Wing web site), which leads me to think you were correct.

You can never have to many boots Bro, I have over 11 pairs of Red Wings and about 25 other boot brands from USA and England. 52 weeks in a year, my thinking is a boot for every week.... Great Video.... also what brand pants are you rocking...

Hey CJ, I had a question for you. If you were choosing between the 8165 black chrome round toe or the 8130 black moc, which would you choose? I guess it’s a matter of round vs. moc toe. I currently have two round toe Red Wings and two moc toes. Thanks again for the always great videos!

A lot of shoes I’ve had, they get this unseemly crease/crack running vertically across the toe box (sometimes only on one shoe, not the other). Any ideas how to prevent this? It looks bad enough on a regular round-top boot, I can only imagine how bad it could get on a moc toe.

You will have to place a shoe tree in the one which has the crease. Then, train the leather to break how you want bit by bit bending your foot to match the other boot. Send me a photo triplestitch3340@gmail.com

It was the 2950. I think the Asian market has a round toe with the white sole still in production.

I always go a half size up from my Iron Ranger size. Moc Toes run narrow.

how about info on the differences between 9075 & 8130
Hello Al, the only difference between the two is the leather. The 9075s are made with Black Harness leather and the 8130s are made with Black Chrome leather. The Black Chrome leather has more of a matte finish than the Black Harness leather.
What part of Indiana are you from?
CJ do you know why they would discontinue this leather in the moc toe style. So disappointed I really want them and can’t find any in my size☹️. Red wing site says they have one size 9 left but the lady I was emailing said she couldn’t confirm for me. I’m nervous about ordering in case they actually don’t have them.
Do you also think they will bring them back? Please let me know your thoughts 💭

CJ Cook I am currently wearing a size 9 comfortably in the 8890’s Charcoal rough and tough moc toe. 9 1/2 in the 1907’s and also comfy in those but maybe I could of half sized down in those possibly.
