Great video as always. It’s funny they say men outnumber women as ESTJs, i know many ESTJ women, including my mother, daughter, and sister in law. My teenage daughter and mom in particular fit what Dario says here about having an overall focus on ethical action. Even as a high schooler, she isn’t so much gossipy as much as commenting on bad behavior, but really, character, when she sees it. She is not unaffected by popularity, but when a popular person proves to have less than at least average character, she sniffs it out and sniffs them out…lol. And my mother has always had a running commentary about good and bad behavior and character in local community members, political people, and otherwise affluent people. I trust their counsel on these matters. And yes, also agree, they aren’t obsessed with being overly morally upstanding, neither are enneagram ones. Both have a fairly well developed Ne. I think if my daughter took the test at this point, she would think she was an enfp. And I have toyed with entp, but she’s too pragmatic and decisive for that. She’s active and engaging, but not even handed with people. A very loyal friend but sharp critic too!

I should say both use a lot of Ne, not sure how well developed it is. I used to toy with istj for my sister in law, so she must be normalizing. I have never seen as much Ne.

Oh my goodness Napolean could have been a creative ESTJ……this one was so helpful I have befriended ESTJs recently actually, my whole darn life is full of exxjs currently and that has to do with my own self growth as an ENFP. Like, we definitely are looking back asswards through the same tube with different lenses.

The coding of his grandmothers behavior as rebellious when it sounds more like Karenism 101 was stunning to see.. his comments seemed intended to defend ESTJs but they validated the stereotypes that ESTJ’s are the over zealous statists who oppose individual liberties and any deviation from social norms

Not neccessarily. If the rules make sense! If they don't make sense, it's a clear sign of bad leadership that will lead to ineffective standards and procedures. That also can lead to a disharmonious workplace were people are negatively affected on an emotional level. In that scenario, the course must be corrected. But that doesn't mean that individualism is to be deminished. ESTJ always welcome individuals, that give their best no matter their flaws.
