The Corvette engineers should take a bow, they've made the C8 a world-class sports car and have done America proud.

The best part of this vehicle is undoubtedly that naturally-aspirated V8. The engine note is fantastic.

I just got an allocation last week for a nearly identical spec. Orange 3LZ with the grey interior 😁😁. It doesn't have the carbon ceramics or the aero package though. Super pumped!

I've watched a ton of Z06 videos before and now that mine has officially been accepted by GM to be built, I was glad this review popped up on my UA-cam. Great review and excited to get mine!

Great everyday lower speed driving insights on its playfulness. This car has been out for awhile and you're the first UA-camr to comment on that which is very relevant for most prospective buyers to know.
I always love the acceleration and how you get so exited in fast cars, and then you're like its okay in slow ones.
I just test drove one of these and had the same reaction. I was expecting a car that couldn't be enjoyed unless at 10/10ths but instead found the car was engaging and special at all speeds. Driving the Z06 is an event and that is what you want from a sports car. I own a new 911 T, but this is on another level.

The LT6 exemplifies what an FPC engine should sound like. It's a true symphony. GM just really knocked it out of the park with the Z06. I'll take this beauty over any Italian or Nazi German turd. 🇺🇲

Matt I must be one of the few that LOVE those hard shifts in any gear. It looks so cool at 15:10 you just barely got on it and your whole body and the car jolted you back at the shift. If I’m going to have an Automatic, that’s how I want it to perform! 👍

Whatever the very last iteration of the C8 they make is, if you can afford it, you MUST get it! It will be the last ever internal combustion engine corvette and that thing will ONLY INCREASE in Value! Honestly, any gas powered car people buy in the next 10 years they should try to keep forever haha

You know... watching this video, I had an idea. It would be really cool if you could do a supplemental video for some of your reviews where you go online and walk us through a build of the car on the configurator. Give your opinion on the options, what's worth it and what's not, and sort of give us the certified "Matt Maran Build". Could be a really easy video to make, a simple screen recording and a voice over, or in the same style as your older videos on some used car bargains. The segment of this video where you discussed the 2LZ package made me realize this could potentially be a nice idea.

The C8 is hands down the best value for money super/sports car. Love what GM has built with the Y2 platform

If you are going to track, drive aggressively or install sides skirts consider adding a Speedway Composites Chassis X Strut Brace. It considerably stiffens the chassis, improving performance and helping to prevent skirts from popping off on curbs and bumps.
If this only could be a beautiful car...

Hi Matt. I know you have driven the C7 ZO6 back in the day. I owned one, and the best thing I enjoyed was the quickness! I know the C8 ZO6 is fast too. Does it feel “as quick”? Thank you.

I’m so happy it came up and I think I was first like. My MSRP 154,900, convertible 70th. The only negative I have is that the perforated seats appear dirty.

Wow, this car is fucking crazy
If the fuel consumption is bothering you, the E-Ray would be a better choice. It's faster in 0-60 than Z06 with the same fuel economy as the C8 Stingray, with AWD. Carbon Ceramic brakes are standard too.
Less fun per gallon though IMO… and that’s what these cars are all about. But if you’re looking for more of a daily driver type of car vs a more special occasion toy, the Eray is a great choice.
I'd get the 1LZ and no rear wing. Unless one is tracking the car, imho, the rear wing cuts back on milage and probably doesn't do much until racing speeds are achieved. I do know a dealer in my area where they'll sell it for MSRP if one is willing to wait. In the meantime, I'm still loving my C6Z too much to give it up. A terrific blend of analog and modern digital. And, I've gotten over 600 mile range doing 75-85 mph in Virginia...And it's still a 200 mph car. But, if anything ever happens to it, it'll prob be a C8Z for me.

White alcantara centers? One fart and those seats are never the same. I’m all for color on car interiors, but I don’t understand white.
Absolutely beautiful car. One thing I did notice is how loud Matt was talking throughout the video. Fun noise for a short while, but tiring on longer drives?
Part of that was the window being down, and a lot of the roads around my area are super rough and crappy which added more noise too. The exhaust quiets down nicely in Tour mode and there's even a Stealth mode so thankfully the exhaust should always be able to match whatever mood the driver is in.

Haha I appreciate the offer! I actually would probably go for this orange, it's really close to the Lamborghini orange on the Supra from Fast and Furious.
Noticed stealth interior and competition seats
GT2 seats, not competition. If you order completion seats in this interior spec they come in solid black not grey.

Getting less than the stated 12mpg is likely a factor of manual gear selection.

Chevy REALLY ... REALLY needs to make a Grand Sport from this thing! ... ERay costs as much as the Z06 and becomes a bit more practical, but still misses the demographic the Grand Sport used to address. Give us this body with the LT2 engine and no electric motor, for a little under $100K, and a new winner is born! 💯
