What an hour full of knowledge, thrill, and pure beauty... This is probably the video with the highest quality I've ever watched on UA-cam. Not just about cars, but everything else. I worked for Chevrolet as a product trainer during the C8 launch and the information you provided in this video was far more comprehensive than the material we would get on the Silverado 2019 1500 launch or the 2020 HD redesign. Your access to top GM staff is an accomplishment by itself... let alone using GM PowerPoint slides from engineering department. Cheers guys, GM couldn't have made a video this great.
You’ve definitely reached a new level with this one. Not only the level of detail, but the way the video is constructed so that everything builds logically and enhances understanding. The interviewees are not only knowledgable enough to clearly explain what they did, they’re also honest in talking about the compromises and tradeoffs. Like I said, a whole new level. Congrats.

This is the Savage Geese opus. Cinematography, sound, editing, and engineering background are at a level I doubt any other channel could touch. Thanks to Mark, Jack and all the engineers for the hard work they put in. It's a straight up masterwork. Well done, all!
Water blowing out the tailpipes always gets my heart racing. Heres to never losing the EMOTION of cars that has gotten us all so enamored by them growing up.
The stereo effect of the interior engine sound you guys managed to capture is unbelievable, something I've never heard that high quality even from big budget productions like top gear.
This isn't a review. This is a fricken documentary. ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS VIDEO! Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in this as this isn't something I could find anywhere else!
Hi guys. I ordered my ZO6 a year ago after owning AMG, GTR Nissans and alike this really is the car I’m looking forwarded to sitting in. In a world of media that focuses on the color of the seat belts your video is so refreshing giving genuine insight and yes I have now watched it 3 times. To the GM engineers you actual genuinely sound proud of your achievement, well done. Please keep up this style of content Cheers from Australia
@@Corbots80why would he be disappointed? He’s getting a pure, NA supercar. Not to mention that the Z06 has pretty much the same acceleration numbers as the GTR and is faster around track.
I started this video thinking holy cow its an hour long and was going to skip around. Within the first couple minutes I realized this is amazing and decided to watch it on television rather than computer. Very nice and well done!!
Thanks SG team for continuing to produce exceptional full-length videos like these. I can't imagine the time, cost, and commitment it takes to make something like this and it speaks volumes to the passion you guys have for the automobile. It's amazing to get to hear from the engineers and I get the sense that they hope that buyers will love driving this car as much as they loved designing and building it. Wishing you guys continued success and growth!
I’m 40 and all my life I’ve dreamed of the day there would be a rear engine corvette. When I first saw a zr1 I said I would have one when they arrive in rear engine. I WILL have the zr1 rear engine corvette before in 45
I think it's easy to be spoiled by your channel. The quality of content, level of thought, and consideration for the enthusiast is so consistent throughout each of your videos that it isn't until you've watched them all that you realize nothing else quite scratches that itch. This was yet another example of you guys raising the bar. Thank you so much for giving me something to look forward to watching when there's nothing else.
We are honored that you put this together for us! THIS is the video that generations after us will watch to learn about the magic of the C8 Z06, this is the video we'll watch and share 30, 40, 50 years from now to reminisce about the last golden era of peak internal combustion 👏🏼
This was absolutely fantastic. I don't see myself ever owning a Corvette, but seeing the amount of passion that went into this car is a real treat - both the passion of the engineers, and the stellar camera work and editing on display here. For being a full hours long and stuffed with technical details, this video was magnetic from start to finish.
When the C8 first launched, all the engineers were excited to share it. Now that the Z06 has launched, you can feel an emotional connection to the project beyond just excitement. This is what they were excited about. We all know there's going to be a ZR1 and a Zora yet coming, but I get the sense that this is the Halo car that received all the passion, the others will simply be a demonstration of capability. They believe they've hit peak ICE, and I believe them. I wish Gordon Murray luck, but when Detroit decides they're going to win at something, there's little Europe can do about it.
I'm not one to leave a comment often. In the event this reaches you guys, I want to say thank you, and that you all are producing some inspiring content. The first video of yours I saw was of the 2015 Lexus IS350, and I remember how back then you couldn't stand it not offering a manual. During the height of COVID19, your videos in part helped me find the motivation to push through campus shutting down, an end of a relationship, social isolation, and the longest depressive phase I've experienced, to then graduate with a mechanical engineering degree. Things have since improved for me, and I hope you guys find as much joy in making these videos as some of us do watching them. The dream is one day you'll be doing a video on a car I had a hand in, and there's still gas in the tank. PS. Yes Jack, I had to watch this twice.
Glad you made it out the other side. Hope you can find joy and a job where you get to do some cool stuff and drive great cars eventually. These different phases of life, relationships, help make you who you are.
Congratulations, GM. You have created a masterpiece. This thing sounds absolutely glorious. Have mercy! GM's performance car catalog has hit an all-time high.
What I love the most about your videos is that you guys make a great effort to include the background of a car, how it was made, interview the engineers directly to really get into why things are the way they are. I really hope your channel prospers for as long as possible, there's nothing else like it.
Mark & Jack, all I can say is thank you. That was an absolute masterpiece of a production, with the "Need for Speed view" minute at the end a stunning finish. No clickbait, no "influencer" trash, no crap music, just a brilliant, engaging masterpiece. Given these are confirmed for Australia, I hope to see and hear one of these in person one day! GM provokes a mixed feeling in Australia given the demise of Holden, but there will always be a little piece of Holdens spirit in the C8's given the C8 prototype was hidden under a Holden Ute body shell.
Only recently discovered you guys a few months ago and you have quickly jumped to the top of my favorite UA-camr list. You guys are so technical and don't shy away from going into the weeds, and its always with amazing accuracy. Congratulations on an amazing video. Hoping to see this channel experience exponential growth
No matter what you think of GM, you have to hand it to their engineers building cars like this, cuz damn that looks hella impressive! #Respect You guys are at the top of the game with your car reviews, keep them coming.
No one out there doing anything CLOSE to what you are. You should be very proud. 11/10 content. Thank you so much. Thanks also go out to GM and the Corvette team for not only building this work of art, but also giving the access to filmmakers like you who have the passion to share their process.
I absolutely love the engineering details and all the info from Chevy and their engineers, it really shows how much work went into this car. Also huge thanks to you guys for putting together such an incredible video and sharing it with us. This is professional and passionate automotive journalism.
The Corvette team spent so much time and effort to develop the exhaust system then people buying the car will just replace it with an obnoxious, loud "go brrrrrrr" exhaust.
Yes this really gives a great look of the car and it helps reinforce or create the high amounts of appreciation for this car. Really well done. The car n the video itself.
Love the access to Corvette team, so nice to see this long format for such an important vehicle. I really hope my preorder doesn't get messed up like some of the horror stories I've heard
Beautiful. You wont find a better, more in-depth review anywhere. Thank you savagegeese team. Thanks to GM too for letting them into the world of Corvette.
Hi came across your channel on this comment section and I liked how intelligent you are and decided to ask if you’ll be interested in making money from crypto trading.
Thanks for putting this together! What an incredible video. I've been a long time fan, and this is one of your best videos so far. This is the least I could do for my favourite pair of automotive journalists. Here's to more!
You guys are the absolute best at what you do. No one else could produce a video like this, I literally have goosebumps. Thank you so much for all you do!
You guys are becoming the best car channel on UA-cam for real car enthusiasts not kids. This is like a documentary more than a review. Great effort I hope you guys keep it up and make millions because you deserve it.
I never thought of SG as anything but documentaries, come to think of it. Sure some of their videos are a bit more light hearted but they have a lot of really well made, insightful videos where calling it a 'review' just doesn't do it justice. If I want to reaquaint myself with a car I'll look for an SG video on it.
How do you know this video is the gold standard? The emotion it elicits, especially the closing. You can see and feel the emotion coming from Mark and Jack. Also, the respect it pays to all the immense hard work that was put into creating this vehicle. I truly hope all those involved with endless hours of hard work to produce the Z06 get to watch this video, and I hope it makes them smile, because their effort is greatly appreciated 🙏 Bravo Mark and Jack to an incredible masterwork of a production 👏
I have pretty much watched car videos on UA-cam everyday since 2015 ... sad perhaps, but it's an addiction I love and ... this is definitely one of the very best videos, well done!!
I really hope that for Mark personally he shares the sentiment expressed by the Corvette team at the end of his film, that doing projects like this make it all worth it...even reviewing seemingly every small CUV for years. Thank you Mark, thank you Jack, you guys are absolutely crushing it! Also thank you team Corvette for making such an amazing machine and letting these guys tell the story.
You guys make, by far, the best automotive UA-cam content. This video takes everything I love about your channel to another level. Thank you so much for bringing this to us. I cant even imagine how much work and effort went into making something of such a high quality. Amazing passion and talent.
I deeply appreciate this cinematic masterpiece, the corvette team, and the concluding remarks. Your passion and the passion of the corvette team is contagious. We have to pursue these projects that make us feel alive, and I’m so happy to see this channel do just that with every video!
There's no denying the sheer amount of time, effort, blood, sweat, tears, passion, etc that GM put into the new Z06 (and you guys making this video). It truly is amazing and shows just how much work it takes to make something special like this happen. As a former C6 owner, the Vette just isn't my cup of coffee that gets me fired up to go for a drive. I personally couldn't be bothered with the C8 as whole, even with the new Z06. The more I see the C8 in person up close, the less I find it interesting or engaging as a sports car. That being said, I still appreciate what it is and how it's probably one of the last great V8's to be produced in this era of motoring.
The 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 represents a bold step forward for Chevrolet in the realm of high-performance sports cars, blending heritage with innovation to create a driving experience that excites and inspires.
The level of care that you put into that video did not go unnoticed. Aside from the car itself, it was also a masterpiece. Thank you for your dedication and for not shying away from going down the engineering rabbit hole.
Guys, your videos keep getting better and better. This is the pinnacle so far. I love that you've blended high end production values with incredibly informative content. Its so inspirational to hear directly from the engineers involved, and to get some understanding of the hard work and passion that has gone into building this amazing car. I'm told the waiting list is 2 years long here in Australia, and we don't even know the price yet. I sure hope to get my hands on one eventually. Keep up the great work!!
I won't duplicate the accolades that have been well expressed, which are well deserved. I just will simply say "thank you" for your dedication and excellence!
It took me a few days and viewing sessions to get through this epic video and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. As usual, you guys killed it with incredible quality and production. The visuals and audio got me juiced up. I love hearing all the insight of the engineering journey and decision-making process involved with making a car like a reality. Also love seeing the absolutely necessary monkeying around the track with you guys giggling your heads off. Thank you for being so savage, geese!
What a truly wonderful video you made Mark, about what will be a historically important and significant vehicle. You should be proud of your work. You are one of a kind.
Such an incredible video that is in its own tier of love letters to an industry, a culture, and to most of all, the people that made it happen. To the engineers, their managers, corporate, and everyone that touched this project; you all deserve the highest praises.
Outstanding video. This is some of the best automotive content I've seen. The Corvette team really knocked it out of the park with this one. With Porsche GT cars getting more difficult to get, I hope Chevy makes as many Z06s as people are willing to buy.
This is unbelievable. If this was a documentary on HBO I wouldn’t bat an eye. Thank you for this, this channel is the best car content ever produced. Full stop.
The information you have in this video is overwhelming... Huge props to Chevy corporate for making the engineers available, and huge thanks to the engineers for sharing their passion and some stories of the design challenges and how they overcame them. And then, as always, Mark and Jack go over the top and do the best sound recording available in automotive content. This is video and this car are a tribute to car enthusiasm itself. As always, thanks for sharing! And all the rest of you, get on Patreon! These guys don't get paid enough for the services they provides to the community as a whole!

This was such an incredible journey you took us on! I've been steadily watching your content more and more and this is by far and away the best video, documentary really, you've put out yet.
Once again Mark, you and Jack have shown us what great video production is all about. From the first day I found your channel I have watched it get better and better. Now your are producing Documentary masterpieces that only make me yearn for the next one. Why you don't have a million subs is beyond me. Being that I have driven on the Autobahn track makes each review even more real for me. You are one of the few channels that I get really excited about when a new video appears. Keep up the great work and maybe I'll see you at the Autobahn some day.
What is there left to say about the Savagegeese prowess? Between Team Geese and Jason Cammisa at Hagerty, these are masterpieces of automotive journalism. This probably could have been two hours long and I would be sitting through every second. I am grateful you have such passion and persistence to bring such high value content to the average Joe. Thank you Mark and Jack!
This is the ultimate love letter to the C8 Corvette Z06! While the car is early into its release, 20 years from now it will be considered a legend and this video will be a great documentary about all of the engineering behind the car. Excellent work!
There is no other car enthusiast channel like savagegeese. This particular video is exactly what I hoped it would be….an exquisite balance of engineering analysis, automotive passion and pure driving pleasure. I salute you!
You guys are simply the premiere auto youtube channel, and this is among the best (if not the best) video you have made to date. Thanks for doing this incredible car justice.
The passion and sadness you hear from the Corvette team at the end drew tears to my eyes. Not only for their hard work and of course Mark and Jack's hard work on this amazing C8 Z06 documentary, but the realization that we are at the Omega chapter of the internal combustion engine. Of my thirty six years on this planet, since being into cars since I was in kindergarten, never thought I'd see the day. Cheers to all the car memories then, now, and forever.
Well said, but I don't fully agree. I don't see the future of electrification as bleak at all, just different. As a matter of fact, I think in a couple of decades these same engineers will be saying that we're reaching the limit of what humans can control, rather than what (naturally aspirated or otherwise) ICE engine based platforms can handle and still be street friendly. We've already got 4 door sedans with 1000+ horsepower hiding in plane site that aren't on sports car platforms, and there the fastest cars on earth. Consider this, is an NHRA drag race about who can make the most noise? or who can get to the finish line first? Is an endurance race, NASCAR event, or F1 spectacle about the exotic exhaust note? or about who finishes first in a competition? Sure, I've had plenty or ICE cars ranging from 60s muscle to modern muscle, and even Italian motorcycles too, so I get it. However, my daily driver is now an EV, so i've seen the light while having driven every model of Tesla which are warp-drive level technology platforms. People easily overlook that we're at the beginning of a technological journey that will make this Corvette seem like an artifact of the past quicker than ever before. There will be a day, and its quickly approaching, that every performance achievement of this Corvette can be matched with thousands of fewer parts while still providing the driver with a visceral driving experience. When it comes down to it, is it really that romantic to think that the engineers spent thousands of hours on the exhaust system; sure it's an engineering achievement, but it also sounds like something that after about a week I'd be out of my mind dealing with. Personally, I don't think an exhaust note defines the experience of motorsport or performance driving; change is coming and its definitely evolution, even if most people can't think past tomorrow.

The vido certainly matches the level of sheer amazement that the Z06 delivers as well.
You guys are in a league of your own with these deep dive videos.
I don't even like Corvette's and this video brought a tear to my eye. Beautifully done. Congrats to everyone involved.
Thanks for the kind words Jonathan.
I agree, it adds so much to the quality of the review. Top Gear's sound mixing has always been infamously bad 😂
The car community needs.... no, the WORLD needs more people like the ones who produce the content on this channel. Amazing video all around. Thank you
Savagegeese literally never disappoints. Pinnacle of car content. Well done boys.
Please keep up this style of content
Cheers from Australia
I think you may be disappointed after owning a GTR. Why not wait for a Z06 ERay?
@@Corbots80Z06 is much faster on a track.
Thank you for the supportive message and cash moneys!! It's good to see that so many people value this type of content and info.
@@savagegeese you guys deserve ALL the cash moneys!
Thanks as always for the high quality, no corner cutting, brilliant content you guys always bring.
Thank for for the comment and cash deals!!
The pinnacle of auto industry content. Thank you guys for always being the first car youtubers I rush to when embargos lift.
I’m 40 and all my life I’ve dreamed of the day there would be a rear engine corvette. When I first saw a zr1 I said I would have one when they arrive in rear engine. I WILL have the zr1 rear engine corvette before in 45
I have the 2023 ZO6 convertible. I do track my cars at Sebring. Good job teaching me what went into the great experience I have. Thanks.
Incredible deep dive and review. You guys continue to be the best automotive journalists in the industry and beyond.
Thank you so much for this gift. We cant thank you enough.
Thank you so much, very appreciated.
Well said :).

This video is ALMOST making me think the ADMs dealers are asking is worth it. 💸💸💸💸. 🏎 . Thanks again this video made my day! Thank you Chevy!
I will be literally returning to this video just to study the engineering slides. Love the technical details, amazing work and passion.
Thank you Mark and Jack for carrying on the enthusiast spirit. I feel that it’s getting lost this day in age, but you guys keep it alive. Keep it up!
SG deserve millions of subscribers!
No matter what you think of GM, you have to hand it to their engineers building cars like this, cuz damn that looks hella impressive! #Respect
You guys are at the top of the game with your car reviews, keep them coming.
Why this channel doesn't have 1.0M plus subs is beyond me. The videography by itself deserves it, let alone the audio!!
Let's Go SavageGeese!!
Damn. Motor Trend or Car and Driver can't touch this level of coverage/passion or just the quality video presentation. Thanks man!
No one out there doing anything CLOSE to what you are. You should be very proud. 11/10 content. Thank you so much. Thanks also go out to GM and the Corvette team for not only building this work of art, but also giving the access to filmmakers like you who have the passion to share their process.
Jack and Mark: You are as passionate and incredible at what you do as the Corvette team. Thank you 🙏
I absolutely love the engineering details and all the info from Chevy and their engineers, it really shows how much work went into this car. Also huge thanks to you guys for putting together such an incredible video and sharing it with us. This is professional and passionate automotive journalism.
Thank you so much for the kind words and the gift
Same. It’s a awesome. A gearhead’s dream content
Always loved your content and you just keep getting better. Thanks for the ride!
The both of you absolutely out did yourselves with this review:)!!! Porsche wannabe Guy, sold on the ZO6 Corvette! Thank you…
Love the access to Corvette team, so nice to see this long format for such an important vehicle. I really hope my preorder doesn't get messed up like some of the horror stories I've heard

Beautiful. You wont find a better, more in-depth review anywhere. Thank you savagegeese team. Thanks to GM too for letting them into the world of Corvette.
GM was very smart supporting SG in the making of this video 😉
GM should thank SG.

Thanks for putting this together! What an incredible video. I've been a long time fan, and this is one of your best videos so far. This is the least I could do for my favourite pair of automotive journalists. Here's to more!
Insane exhaust sound I love it 🔥 🔥 🔥
You guys are the absolute best at what you do.
They are the best for a long time already.
The details behind even a Nissan kicks video is actually amazing I completely agree with you
I never thought of SG as anything but documentaries, come to think of it.
Best car review I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot. With the C5 Corvette being my first crush, I’ll own a c8 z07 one day.
Amazing video as always, but this has got to be the best one yet. Made me a little emotional how much passion is put into it from every GM Engineer.

Keep up the great work and maybe I'll see you at the Autobahn some day.
Hope to see you there, I'd live there if I could.
@@jefffaller8474 idc if it has 2000HP and does 0-60 in 1 second. An electric vehicle will never have the character, emotion, and engagement of a ICE vehicle.

You both are also passionate in skills on the track and behind the camera. For a car guy, your videos fuels my automotive passion. Killer vid!
This is my favorite SGeese video to date and I have watched a lot of them. I have been eyeballing adding the '24 Z06 to my collection and found the video extremely informative. Especially since I work on cars. We all know every manufacture has it's issues and Chevrolet is certainly no exception but I do enjoy the Corvettes that I own.
