- In todays video I go over a 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible.. Is the new mid-engine Corvette Z06 as good as people say? In my opinion - yes.. I did some surfing online to try to see what Ferrari 458's were selling for, and the cheapest running one in the nation has 68k miles and is selling for $165k.. So IF you can get the new Z06 at MSRP, it is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny... Good luck finding one at MSRP though..

Also there are many notes too show it would be a Z06. The elongated boomerang doors, the centre exhaust, and let’s not forget the sound of the flat plain crank 5.5 litre engine.

Finally hit 500 miles on mine. What a beast ! No video can do this car justice in terms of sound or vicious raw visceral feel and acceleration. I’ve had faster cars in a straight line but this thing is still a monster . This car is more exciting to drive than most of my previous exotics!! It’s incredible , believe the hype !!

Nice video but can you please just say…” it’s a Corvette super car for $170,000 . The Corvette doesn’t need to compare itself to another car like the Ferrari 458 because it’s faster , better looking and a better price than the Ferrari. It’s an amazing super car with looks than are gorgeous. I’m British so Corvettes are rarer than Lamborghini and Ferrari here in the UK. I’ve not seen a C8 yet but even C7 are very rare.
I love how everyone automatically compares the new corvettes to the lambos and Ferraris. I have a 3LT Z51 C8 and people automatically think it’s a lambo or Ferrari. I only paid 90K and people will still think you are driving a super car. If I had 170K I would definitely have bought a lambo though!! Not the Z06

The Stingray is a great car. The Z06 is a whole other car driving wise. I hope your 4 years goes by quickly lol. Maybe there’s another dealer you can get one sooner at, but these are very hard to come by. The owner said they’ve only made like 1,200 Z06’s
Beautiful color, on camera has a light blue tint, does it have a blue tint to it in person?
All 2020+ Corvettes are technically C8’s. The Z06 is still a C8..

Next time when you're at a standstill or in park or even driving it to get past 3000 when you accelerating pull both paddles in and don't let them go and it'll let you rev to the red line

I love the look of the adrenaline dipped interior but I really worry about the reflection on to the windshield. I don't know if I could get it for that reason. I wish Chevy had not extended the red so close to the glass.
It looks sweet, just depends on how the sun is hitting the dash. Would you have rather had it be black in that area?
I am on a dealer list for a Z06 and each video I see adds to the excitement. The only problem now is constraints on the Z07 option, so I am 'on hold.'

One thing I love about the Z06 is that GM will eventually make more than enough Z06 for anyone that wants one, youll just have to wait a year or two. Unlike porsche with the GT cars you gotta play the dealership game or pay insane markup if you ever want a chance to get one because they never make enough of them. The z06 will trully be a "afforable" sports car in a few years when the market is flooded with stock like the normal c8 now.
I like that about GM as well. Though the Base C8 prices have risen so I can’t see them ever being “ affordable”
@@JayFay_ True. They are not cheap cars but they come down in price eventually. On autotrader there's 164 c8s 100 miles around my area compare to just 34 bmw m3s and 25 718 caymans. The C8s are sitting in lots and not selling, these stealerships will need to lower the price eventually.

Yep I totally agree there should be a fairly large used market in a few years. I’ve got a C8 HTC Z51 that I will drive until I can pick up a Z06 used with 10K miles.
I don't think so, they keep z06 builda at about 10% of c8 builds...there will never be enough z06 s for the amount of ppl who want one.

one thing it gets you is having to go to a Chevrolet showroom that has nothing but gas guzzlers and as a service loaner they stick you in some bottomfeeder Blazer or Equinox
Don’t get why Chevy doesn’t have an integrated infotainment dash screen this one is better than the ZL1s but you’d think for $170K they could come up w something more elegant and sophisticated.
Had to save some money somewhere to get a great performing car.. That R&D for motor and chassis is not cheap especially when its an all new platform
$170K gets you the performance of a $250K car.

…ANYINE that knows C8’s, knows the larger full size SIDE “boomerang”, front facia, and rear center exhaust pipes are clear indicators that it’s a Z06, not to mention the “Z06” emblem on the sides 😂 😊
In case any Z06 owner doesn't know a Z06 just did a quarter mile in 9.98 seconds at 135MPH with drag radials....check youtube for video!

The ceramic brake option is a waste of money unless you're planning to track your car they don't start working until you put tons of heat in them just go with the steel vented brakes

I just ordered one last , in Canada, I put the Jake logo on center caps, I think it will look great..have not seen any z06 with that option..
$170k doesn't get you a Z06 because @Chevrolet can't keep it's dealers in check.
I am at list price when I get mine. The top dealers are selling at MSRP.

@@vettesweetnos If you really want to be technical. The HTC is slower. It's heavier. If you cover anything up. No matter what it is. I doubt you can hear it better. Maybe to you though. To me; not. I have driven both also.
@@djfrankib45 back window down or top down is louder to me but I have young ears yet. Htc only adds 100 lbs, ccb and light wheels offset that easy. 1lz and 3lz weigh different as well, I won't be cheaping out going coupe over htc after having both. Both are topless experiences but htc is so much better, no way I'll go back to coupe, I like having top down. Besides the only other mid engine htc are ferrari and McLaren, that's it.
@@vettesweetnos Well for me the more customization of the engine bay on the coupe did it for me. All of the engine dress up carbon fiber that's offered. None of that you will see on the HTC. Also just being able to turn my head and see it in a Chevy is still unheard of to me. I'm usually a top down guy. But you get a little of everything with a coupe. Different strokes for different folks. 😊
@@djfrankib45 yah, if I was tracking I'd go for a z07 coupe but mine will only see the street so z06 htc for me, maybe wheels and exhaust later. Already have scrape armor, ppf, ceramic, and tint. Plus at 6'6" there's a little more room in htc.
I don't necessarily mind red interiors, but this one is so red that it kinda makes me sick. I don't know if I'd enjoy being stuck in that much bright red.

I love this video! I own a C8 Z51 and this car is amazing. People who don’t know cars automatically assume you are driving a lambo or Ferrari. I only paid 90K and I still get the same attention as a lambo, ferrari or mcclaren. Im sorry but if I had 170K I would not buy the Z06. I’d buy a lambo or mcclaren

What does $170,000 get you, NOT MUCH! These cars are junk, don't buy one! The very same day I took delivery of my 2023 Corvette Z06, and babied it on the way home, multiple systems failed, and the car crapped out, and had to be towed back to the dealership. Catastrophic failure of the left front shock assembly spewed hydraulic fluid all over my driveway, transmission surging and jerking, front lift inoperable and throwing a code, AC didn't work, and the car does not respond to key FOB commands. The technician at the shop confirmed all these problems and then the manager at the Chevy dealership said it would be weeks before he could get a shock assembly to make repairs. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable, and when I called GM and told them what happened to a brand-new car, I got nothing, but, "you'll just have to wait." I've hired a Lemon law attorney to get my money back. GM rushed to get these cars out the factory door and it shows, no quality control and poor workmanship.
