I think everyone who has watched The Equalizer series would agree that number 1 is the best, number 2 is so-so, and number 3 is somewhere in between but way more brutal.

Worst being queen latifa remake...all these movies are only good bc of Denzel and fight sequences...the story sucks
Havent seen 3 yet, but 2 holds the best acting scene with 'you dont know what death is'. But, i liked the action in 1
I really like the Equalizer but as in Italian there are too many aspects that triggers me a lot in this movie😅 Too many idiot stereotypes and the Italian acting looks really really bad considering the standards

I watched this within a few days of release at a local theatre. Almost entirely empty. It felt like a private screening and I loved it! I still think 1 was the best, but this one felt a bit grittier and I'd say it was better than 2.

I went Saturday after thurs release. Theater was half packed. Everyone said oh shit when he was staring at Marco when he was ordering the marshall for the boats.
Its interesting how McCall's approach changes with every film, unfortunately I haven't seen the last one, but I think they are all pretty brutal, but in a way that is a metaphor for how brutal a world that he really lived in....perhaps because he is older in the last film and has less patience, the people somehow mean more to him or maybe because he is dealing with people he sees as dangerous and that he needs to make a big point to a group that technically have the home advantage to make them stay away - hence McCall is brutal and more dangerous......Denzel knocks it out of the ball park again - am grateful that he was prepared to do 3 films as he rarely does sequals and I imagine the pressure was on to write a good story/script for No3.

I counted 6 shots. The other two were registered from the guy in the white shirt firing at McCall but hitting his own man.
@tnguy0 he fires four times after grabbing the hand of the dude. He then uses the gun as a knife and fires four more times. Two of them are shown as the head moves backwards with each shot. The other two or showed by entry wounds on the people he is firing at

Why is the mafia boss walking around his own property-his guys dead everywhere-with his gun in his belt behind his back?
Because he had already been told by his henchmen what happened and what to expect. They told him they had it controlled. But allowing himself to be captured was the only way to get the boss there for him to finnish him off.

The problem about Denzel’s character is that you cannot be a decent man and turn into a godly evil antisocial killer and then turn off you killer mode and be a nice guy again.
Antisocial? Denzel's character is talking to everyone and looks genuinely sad about what he is doing to most of the bad guys in this movie.
