Really like that about Denzel's character Robert in these films. Doesn't go looking for trouble, always calm and collected and tries to actually give the bad dude's a choice and chance to do the right thing. A fairly humble man too and grounded. Then the bad dude's don't take that chance and it's the last thing they ever do and it's awesome just how easily he takes them down too and entirely justified too.
Robert in all 3 movies not once went to go look for trouble. He was trying to put his past behind him and just live a normal life like everyone else. He was also a really cool dude to all his friends and coworkers. But once the bad guys messed with the people he cared about, he unleashed the beast. And like you said he gave them chances too and they chose not to listen.
Well... the guy who wrote the script also didn't watch the first movies I guess... because what happened here is so completely unlike the McCall from the first two movies... very public, putting lots of innocent people at risk... and why would those gangsters walk away? They could've shot him on the spot. Doesn't make sense. Movie was good, so was Denzel... but the script was lacking so so much.
Denzel’s cool, calm & polite demeanor is what gives his character so much strength and charisma. He always gives his foe’s a chance to walk away peacefully, but they always seem to pick the wrong solution and wind up taking the old “dirt nap”! The beauty of this scene is after Denzel nearly snaps the guys arm he has the class to rearrange his dinner napkin and finish his meal!! Classy as hell!!😆😆😆
that was a perfect way to show them: i am in totally control of this situation. If you do s.th. bad, better do it elsewhere. Not in this place and definitively not when im in. And i love the calm way he gets rid of the "bodyguards" of this little gangster.

It’s a great scene. Denzel just kills it in this role. Let’s face it, he always kills it in any role that he plays. Dude is the 🐐! Equalizer 3 was a respectable ending to the the trilogy. The first one is still the best though.

Gotta love Denzel man. This dude is so good at what he does-crazy acting skill and going badass as it can be. Lets hope that he will continue to work for a long time, like Eastwood for example. He is only 70 yrs old hehe
All 3 movies were so wonderful at adding such small "touches" to scenes. One of several in this one to show how little the young "kid" knew. Any professional would have realized the fact that Denzel didn't seem nervous or scared even though he should have been would have been a red flag that he was not just some average joe or tough guy want to be. Compare this to the scene of Denzel and the main bad guy from the first movie in the restaurant. You can tell the bad guy is not afraid of him BUT obviously realizes he is a professional and respects him and knows to take him seriously. The writing in all three movies is so well thought out. Its almost like they wrote the main script and then went back through asking "okay what little things can we do to make each scene next level?" I think one of many reasons these movies stand out is you really don't see this level of creativity in Hollycrap anymore. IMHO:)
