You try it... You will break your damn fist, I've tried it in a scrap yard, I laid down on my back in the back of the car and was kicking the absolute shit out of the window, it flexed and the trim got all fucked up but I didn't break the window.
Granted I wasn't in a life and death situation... But still.
I did it just once. I was ran off the road by an oncoming vehicle and my car flipped four times. I gratefully landed on all four tires. I just remember going “Ahhhh!” And I whomped the drivers window and it shattered. I couldn’t believe it. I dove out the window and that was that. Adrenaline.

Is it ONLY me, or did everyone forget that not only do head rests have a spike on the bottom of the shaft that allows you to break a side window to get out in an emergency, catalytic converters now virtually eliminate carbon monoxide from exhaust emissions, making them safer.
No gloves, finger prints everywhere. No attempt to stop window raising, he just watched it. Most cars have a window stop sensor if the window is jammed to prevent the motors from burning out.
Oh well, its a movie.
Robert the type of guy to remove the converter, disable the censor and remove the shaft. Or you know when you panic you do stupid shit and not think of putting your hands in the way of the glass.

That's the point of fitting a Cat.
Not saying exhaust fumes aren't unpleasant, but they would take a lot longer to kill you, as Carbon dioxide replaces oxygen in the car, whereas CO bonds to your haemoglobin and prevents oxygen transmission in your blood.

The original series with the old British guy was a great show. Denzel did a great job also. The new series with queen Latifa is ridiculous. A 60 year old woman physically beating up men in their prime.

Car windows are surprisingly strong. And yes if you have a LifeHammer or even *anything* ceramic you can shatter them instantly, but if all you have at your disposal are your fists, you're screwed, you may as well be beating on an inch of plexiglass.
