"Get chrome, yo bike gon be gone"😂😂😂👌best quote from alf
funny thing is, he's right my bike gon be gone
Would be cool to see you do a bike check but get in depth with why you chose the geometry and parts you did.
Phil the tripod. Steady hand. Except when he laughs. ✌️
Lol I love chrome, back in the late '90s/early '00s when I was a kid nearly everyone rode an all chrome bike. Now I just have chrome bars, forks and cranks, still looks baller af.
Skippy Yea buddy ! Chrome armies in those days , GTs Diamond Backs Mongoose Haro.
Specialized fat boy was crazy because it was orange from memory (not much of that left lol ).
if u squint ur eyes, alfredo is wearing sun glasses
Jakbmx200 wtf true
...
that's funny
It was like a thug life meme
lol wtf
I love your how to Tuesdays, tech Thursday, and all your vlogs KEEP THE AWESOME WORK GOING 👌
just got out the hospital Alfredo. Thanks for making me smile homie ! Much love..
I know these are pretty old vids, just wanted to say thanks for these, the technical side to BMX parts. I haven't ridden BMX for 30yrs, since I started driving. I did the engine swaps, car racing, motorcycle thing, gunsmithing, and gaming PC building. I got back into street/park riding because I didn't want to be just playing Elden Ring on my ass. I'm old-skool, just pick up a bike and ride. Now I'm building my bike that I always wanted when I was 16, but with better parts. Thanks to your vids, they give me a little more insight before I buy.
Thanks man ,I've been waiting for this vid shot out to you man awesome
I have the Fit high top stem and I love it. I don't have to run that shadow conspiracy deadest cap anymore. Just two good spacers and the Fit stem has it chillin at a moderate height. 🤘🤘🏽
awesome videos Alfredo I'm new to bmx lots of different parts but u really help me out thx and keep it up
damn i'm so thankful for this video, finally somebody who explains all these things. keep it up! looking forward to more videos of this kind!
Awesome knowledge on the Forks an the difference they make when ordering new one's.
Instructional adventures with Alf lets listen and learn folks
Agreed!!! Alf has been a big portion of my motivation to start riding again in spring after giving up riding for a few years due to injuries in my past!!! Also nothing but new knowledge, great maintenance videos and tips!! #ALFGANG
This Poster is awesome. I love it. Must have one.
great video.....reminds me of the days when we only had 32 mm ..... nice to know why we have things like 25mm offset choices
Philbrahh with the corrections!!!
I just got the Hoffman Seth Kimbrough signature BAMA forks with a Hoffman Top Loader stem 🔥
A couple things I want to add to chosing a fork. I've been riding the S&M fastpitch fork, and noticed its taller than my Shadow fork. I noticed the gap from the top of my tire to the bottom of the steerer tube was 1/8 taller on my S&M fork. That little bit of rise is noticed when hopping. It hopped easier. Also the short offset of the fastpitch fork which is 13mm not only helps nose manuals, hang fives, but spinning 360's, half cabs, full cabs etc spin quicker with a short offset. There's less drag from the front tire. Oh and chrome does indeed attract thieves.
Solid video Alfredo
Thanks Alfredo ❤
Great Video!
Thanks
I'm on a 32 off set fork, a front load stem 48mm reach. Literally I'm running brakes and a frontload so that I stand out cause everyone's on a topload and brakeless.
I just ditched the brake yesterday after many years
How TF y'all find out all these measurements I'm just getting into bmx
I'm having difficulty finding out the size bearings for the bottom bracket
wow..lovr the gold one..so nice
Keep up the good work
great video!
Thanks. Great info!
🤝🤝
you should have shown a Odyssey Elementary v3 Stem (. I don't know whether I like it or not ) anyway another good video keep up the good work Alfredo Mancuso
I currently have Animal Barrett forks which are I believe a 35mm offset, does anyone know of any forks currently being made that are similar(if not exactly) the same as the Barretts? Also is it true the Barretts are somewhat 'rare' now?
Yo Alfredo you should of added something bout upsweep and backsweep on handlebars. Like which one is ideal although it could be pure preference. Thanks
I ride a Sunday freeze topload stem. It has 33 rise and 52 reach, I wouldn't want to ride anything smaller than that and I'm only 5 foot 7
The bars more forward WILL in fact give you more height in bunny hops because there’s more distance between the bars and your chest to start with, and they’re closer to the wheel...so therefore there’s more space to pull them up which obviously brings the wheel further up also proportionally.
Hey guys i have a top load stem with 36mm rise i think and 8,6 bars they are both broke, should i get a front load stem with 9,0 bars? or the same i have now?
Hey so I just got a bike for my birthday it's not anything special but i have already messed up the forks they will spin if in not moving and it has slight weight on it so what would recommend you me I weight like 150 160 and I'm 6ft.
Haha running 9.4" bars on the colony front load stem is that good height?
I’m 5’10 and want to run 9” s&m fu bars. What size stem do you guys recommend
aye great vid alf, what is a good cheap topload stem
So I was chatting with source Bmx and they were telling what forks I could buy for my mongoose and I am curious does any fork work with any stem?
Animal INVERSE Stem is quite cool, you can use it as a pretty low Top Stem but you can also invert it and use it upside down, quite useful
I had that primo stem in 2016-17 after swiching my stems, manuals were harder to do lol.
What is your honest opinion on the shadow Odin stem from your personal riding
Thanks
Alfredo
Can you talk about bb height and seat tube angle? I never understand how that geometry plays its role. Thanks
if only there was a heart botton and not a like botton id press it al the time thanks for this bmx knowledges its really awesome
I ride federal assault Forks 15mm offset which is small because I wanted to learn nose manuals.. but my riding style is like Larry Edgar (no where near as good) so flow/bowls and trails. I don't know how much a bigger offset would effect my riding style, because it feels fine for airs and hops and stuff... opinions?
Does the offset affect the stability of the forks. Have you ever witnessed forks braking. If so do you think that they broke do to the offset on the forks caused by to much pressure on the forks do to weight and stress. Do you think that their is a offset fork that is more stable than other offset forks.
ayyoo mancuso keeping it real .. #alfgang
I See You Up load your VLogs at Night i thought I Was Missing Some lol. And I See you are Doing A Fork Tech After Your's Fell Off At The Vans Skate Park. {Todd From Walla Walla Wa}
love u fredo
man Freado I should really be studying for exams hahah
What's the best fork offset to go with a 52mm front load stem
9.25" bars with front load premium stem, feels nice. Im 6 foot btw
You answered my question 6 years before I asked it thanks. Just got alienation Iron Maiden front load but I’m kinda nervous I got 43mm reach
What if i want a different topcap and i have fit forks?does it matter what topcap i want
I run top load but a lot of my friends ride flipped front load thoughts on that? And does it actually make your bars taller bc I have a problem sometime with my knees and bars but I'd like to have the front space and also hight so help me out please homie
Tudor Does bmx it really depends on the stem
can any fork will fit on any sizes of tires? plss answer
everytime i see dan kruks bike i wanna gouge my eyes out.
I have a 36mm top load and the shadow 11 bars I'm 6'6 and still feal cramped 13inch bars would help so much
Damm
Hey Alfredo I am currently saving up to buy a new frame and I was just wondering if the integrated headset bearings are all the same size or do they change from brand to brand ?
all integrated headsets are the same. i dont know if scooters or mountain bikes or whatever use different sizes so play it safe and get one thats bmx specific
alf, does oss do online ordering? im in chicago!
A long dropout offset means the wheel is more likely to hit your toes when the front is turned back on you. Isn't a longer stem better for bringing your weight forward for nose manuals and short stems better for bar spins?
Hey Alf!
Hey man when you giving away some of those shirts! I've never won anything in my life it make my whole year bro!
Crazy i ride flat street i run profile 63 mm stem and 15 mm offset animal street fork .any one has tips on hop whips
how good is the merrit justin weird down load stem
You should do a video on sealed vs unsealed bearings
#alfgang for life
Good shit have u done frame geometry?
First like and comment!!!
Profile push is the best definitely worth the cost
If you haven't already you should make a video about bar size
Wouldn't a longer offset on the forks make the wheel closer to you on barspins? Because the wheel spins.
Yep. This guy Alfredo dun goofed
obrigado amigo muito bom. o conteudo essa stem sunday eu queria saber a medida Thanks
would anyone say the OCTAVE FORKS are not strong or wont hold up? im just order them.
thanks broski
I thinking of getting a 53 mm stem I have a 50 right now I don't think size will make any difference my bike is also not the same length as most other peoples its extended a little longer
Please help!!! Why are BMXers buying, and using such tall bars? I'm 6 feet tall, and over 200 pounds, what trick, or tricks require tall bars? I love big bars as much as the next person, but if I can drop them down with a stem I always do! Even though I've BMXed for 44 years now, boy I sure don't know it all! I love your videos, and I'm going to keep on riding. Wes Sept
hey for the next how to Tuesday can u do a oppo 360 because that's how I ride
Someone tell me if I done fucked up. Got a 52mm reach /32 rise top load stem - 28mm offset forks and 9.35 rise bars???
yo alf you had me weak talking about the chrome. I'm getting a new fork soon what would you recommend, I am very prone to bending my dropouts Cuz I do a lot of Smith grinds and I tend to land kinda hard so I bend the drop outs. great explanation on all this too BTW.
Tom_nobreaks if you bend the dropouts get heat treated forks with investment cast dropouts or a fork with the whole bottom part of the fork leg including the dropout being investment cast.
Peculiarsafe83 thanks dude
Odyssey R32 and R25 forks are considered to many as the best forks ever made. Look into them and the testing and science they have to stand behind them.
im thinking of a topload stem on my dirtjump bike, any recommendations ?
Paul Albao idk its up to you foo
You should always ride top load on a bike made for trials
Whats the song at the end?
Super helpful my doood. I'd love to try out all of them to find my perfect setup but my wallet would implode big time.
Will these forks work with cage bearings
Umberto Pacheco no
how much for the aitken stem
What about that merrit stem i think it's called the download?
looking cool dude.. i want to look like you.. my idol
video on different bars?
it is lit
ive rode dan kruks bike a couple times shit is werid to barspin dont get how he does it
Pitchforks FTW
I thinking of getting a 53 mm stem I have a 50 right now I don't think size will make any difference
Garth Stead it won't really
can you put gyro on intergrated headset without gyro tabs
Anthony Dolcimascolo yea, the odyssey G3
Stem length has more of an effect on steering than ability to pop onto the front wheel.
Assuming the bar angle is the same....
A longer stem will give you mellower steering and by putting your weight further forward(similar to running your bars chicago'd) make it slightly easier to pop onto the front wheel.
A shorter stem will give you snappier steering but actually make it slightly more difficult to pop onto the front wheel.
Joel Dunsdon do you know of ways this would affect manuals
Poison_711 was here
Isn't the Fit BF stem?
I learnededed.
Nice video #alfgang
#AlfGang
You think that front load would be better for bar spins since the bars are further away from you
Noah Peltier no cause ur stem spins around too so it would make it a lot closer when it spins. it would be worse for barspins. personal preference tho.
ThatDudeInTheComments shit true af didn't even think of that
#ALFGANG
