There is a large cavity in there and it has the waterpump bearing - it needs to be filled with oil - and that is what the little bottle feeds, they do the same form the factory - fill that cavity.
Where do the hole behind the oil-pump lead to ? it must be some kind of channel separated from the crank, if it not you would fill up the crank-case ??
When you delete oil and pemix it... do you gotta change the jetting to allow for thicker mix to pass through your carbs? Will in not cause your motor to lean a little making it run alittle hotter? don"t know.. just asking before I do it on my 03 rev. Cheers! thanks Louis!
could you do the oil delete on any 2-stroke engine? im thinking that I should do it since i blew up my sled and hope to rebuild it soon, maybe the pump thing went bad? not sure, love the videos Louie! keep em comin! braaap!!!
I deleted mine this fall I went 2 weeks without looking at the back side of the motor of my sled and the oil pump cable got chewed up ended up blowing the motor 1st month of winter center crank bearing went then took out my top end. it's not worth it in my opinion. it's a 2010 mxz 800r BTW.. I'm happy to have premix after that BS.
Went to a local part store and saw fruity scented oil by sinto. Is that any good? Could it be used to tell if your oil pump is failing. Pretty sure your sniffer aint that precise of a gauge but still...
thundercamel They did one worse, replaced a belt guard with a tiny flimsy piece of carbon fiber on the elan project. The thing was so weak it couldn't even hold its shape.
That would be the reason I do it. Reliability. Walking home really sucks and for an older machine it makes sense. Anything 10 years old and older is a concern.
I have a question, my sled (1999 ski doo summit 600) is using way to much oil and it started right after I put a can on my sled. It is running rich because I checked the plugs and they were black. Can the can do this or is my oil pump lever sticking, or does it just need an adjustment? Thank you!
I’m about to install my new 800R in my 2009 hill climb and my block off plate got lost in the mail. So why couldn’t I just leave the pump on ? Block off the line’s like you showed and use my existing oil reservoir ? Can i still do what you did ? Reply would be greatly appreciated and thank you
Came to think of something, how does the oil get transported to the combustion chamber? does the oil go directly from the nipples (which you have blinded with a hose) and into the cranck house, so it also lubricates the cranck-bearings ?
I have a question. I have a 2009 Polaris iq600r it the race sled and I premix. But I mix it 32:1 is that to fat because in this video your day your mixing 50 :1
I have done this Oil deleton on my sled, but when i filled up the cavity with oil, oil start to dripping out fra the inner side of the stator, i think. Is there a limit on how much oil the bottom of the crankcase will hold, or do I have bad bearings?
There are center seals on the crank between the center channel you fill with oil and the crank case, most likely have bad center seals or a bad bearing
Drew W because a 340 is a fan engine that don't have a water pump in the bottom end for the collent of the motor the reason you still need that bottle is because you still need to have oil trough the water pump however it was designed so as the premix travels trough them motor is lubes that little part
Why delete the oil? I’ve had snowmobiles for 40 years. The oil injection always works. Sometimes you can adjust it if needed. It’s a complete hassle to always carry oil. Why to Save a couple pounds? A waste
One mod I would never do. So much more convenient to not have to mix your fuel. Imagine being out of gas and you still have some oil left and you manage to find gas but not oil...

the oil is injected through little nipples into the crank case in front of each crank lobe, it just mixes with gas and lubes everything.
I'm pretty sure the race guys run 32:1 as well, I would run what they told you to run when you got it. thanks for watching!
There is a large cavity in there and it has the waterpump bearing - it needs to be filled with oil - and that is what the little bottle feeds, they do the same form the factory - fill that cavity.
the bearings are sealed, the crank comes out this summer and I'll be removing the seals and drilling the oil passages.
Okey, yeah thats what i figured.
Last night i made that cap and bottle myself, didn't feel like paying around $45 like you said :)
The oil trickles into the crank case in front of the crank lobes.
oils the bearing for the waterpump.
hmm, yes you might have a leaking seal - or the line is broken and dripping down the side of the case into the mag housing.
I spoke with a racer and he said 32:1 because of the timing, guys who run 40:1 and 50:1 change the timing back to trail conversion.
Oh.... I just undid all the screws and they came out. I'm putting my SDI Engine back together tonight
Good work!

oh he's there.

Would this also work on the 2001 Skidoo Summit 800?
Is it the same for all old rotax engines i have a rotax 700 triple and i want to do the same oil delete as you
One question (you probably won't answer because the video is old). Why didn't he just zip tie the computer and coil to the chassis?
great video. Could you do a video on how you mix your gas and oil
Can I just use the same oil as I use to premix?
Every pound must be really important to you if you're deleting the oil injection in favor of pre-mix!
+Krankie V For real. This is one modification that I would never do.
thundercamel
They did one worse, replaced a belt guard with a tiny flimsy piece of carbon fiber on the elan project. The thing was so weak it couldn't even hold its shape.
+Krankie V Some more reasoning is that oil injection can fail fairly easily and completely destroy you engine, seen it happen a few times.
That would be the reason I do it. Reliability. Walking home really sucks and for an older machine it makes sense. Anything 10 years old and older is a concern.
So just put a new oil pump on it intead of hacking it all up.
is the little bottle for oiling the main bearings?

Is it good idea to do this on 600 sdi some people did injector is not good for premix gaz
Just getting into sled work. Is this gravity drip in addition to or an alternative to pre mix. Can I pre mix 50-1 and call it good like a chain saw?
Can you so an SDI injector removal video?
I have a question. I have a 2009 Polaris iq600r it the race sled and I premix. But I mix it 32:1 is that to fat because in this video your day your mixing 50 :1
Is it the same for 700 triple?
why would u wanna get rid of the oil injection system?
I have done this Oil deleton on my sled, but when i filled up the cavity with oil, oil start to dripping out fra the inner side of the stator, i think. Is there a limit on how much oil the bottom of the crankcase will hold, or do I have bad bearings?
Some sleds are different.
There are center seals on the crank between the center channel you fill with oil and the crank case, most likely have bad center seals or a bad bearing
serious question how can a 340 enticer be made into a premix sled and still keep the bottom end lubricated. thanks man from southern ontario
Drew W because a 340 is a fan engine that don't have a water pump in the bottom end for the collent of the motor the reason you still need that bottle is because you still need to have oil trough the water pump however it was designed so as the premix travels trough them motor is lubes that little part
well, i dont have the engine right apart.. and getting anything but the very first injector out seems like an insane pain in the ass
Have a question, does anyone make a oil block off for a 1999 Skidoo Formula 3 800? Having a hard time with my pump and just want it gone... Thanks
Where can I find a kit for my 2006 Summit X 1000sdi?
Can this be done on a 98 mach 1 700 triple?
Whats the point of the little oil bottle?
to oil the bottom end impeller
Am i able to do this on 2000 arctic cat 600 powder special
Hi, im from Argentina, Can I do it on Skidoo 800 R 2007?

whats that bottle do?
Did you have to rejett?
no
Can you do this to a fuel injection sled?
hmm depends on the sled
@@PowerModzOfficial it’s a 2010 Polaris RMK dragon 800
You need to get new cylinders, and ECU's.
Well that creepy Guy quit stocking did he : )
Where u get ur skidoo mod parts
Depends on the parts, many from manufacturers, some from kimpex.
Cool, i'd barf though, can't put plastic in my mouth.
Anyone have any ideas for small bottles?
Yamaha Banshee Coolant Overflow tank would work perfect for this mod.
Thanks buddy
greatest video:D

Save a couple pounds? A waste
Because they fail - maybe not for you but for hundreds if not thousands of snowmobilers.
i mean removal for cleaning..
One mod I would never do. So much more convenient to not have to mix your fuel. Imagine being out of gas and you still have some oil left and you manage to find gas but not oil...
Can you please email me
Can you just drill an tap a hole in to the plate and then cap everything off
You say**
