Weird I don't remember this boat, been to every LOTO shootout since the shooter's days. Cool boat and I'm glad someone did a smaller displacement big turbo build and was successful. If you did it again, would you use a gearbox next time, seen a couple people use modified sequential boxes in combination with surface drives to good effect.
I beleive we ran late Saturday if I'm not mistaken. You can kinda see from the video that the boat line ups were kinda thin. If I did do it again I would do the same setup but go from a 3.0 displacement to a 3.4L. That should make it alot more user friendly low end but still give us the rpm we need to go faster.
Great video! I've never really considered the difference between making a car go fast as opposed to a boat. Obviously a very different set of variables to deal with. Thank you for sharing!
Wow! Old school en la casa! Muchos años de experiencia, gente buena. Los recuerdo para el tiempo que estaba la Quiles Turbo 😂 Saludos y muchas bendiciones.
Not enough variable pitch props out there, once we got it figured out, the prop we ran worked perfect and it was only $600. Not even a labbed version, just basic right out of the box.
Is he saying super motor or Supra motor because it sounds like he's saying super which does not make any sense and does not apply to this situation at all other than the fact that super could be used as a descriptive term to describe a 2JZ engine because it is a super engine but it's not a super engine it's a Supra engine
You have come along ways since the days of saga bay and the L street racing days!
Hahaha damn you took it way back, no one will understand how we did what we did back in the days lol. Good times!
Awesome, I ve had this idea of a 2jz boat motor but I had no idea that it could power a boat that big so fast ⏩, love it great job
Thanks man, we definitely struggled with it for a while but little by little it all started to fall into place.
Damn, good times! Glad to see you're grtting active again.
Thanks man, trying to keep up! Haha
Going fast in a boat is just like going fast in a car... if you're sitting on the hood.
Buhahahhaaha that's hilarious

I remember this build from back in the day. Nice to see it again.
Had alot of fun with it. Definitely a major learning curve
@@psiracing Well, you were jumping into a totally new area of tech. Was a steep learning curve to tackle, quickly that is.
Glad it eventually worked out and wasn't a flop! Lol

Happy new year brotha bad ass boat
Thanks dude, happy New Year bro!

Yea definitely screws with your head. Took some time to get it right but once we did, man it was fun
Boat with a prop is essentially like doing a dyno pull from idle, in high gear.
Hahaha exactly
Tremendo 🎉éxito
Gracias papa!

Wow, muchas an̈os atras de verdad. RIP david turbo!
@psiracing 🤍
Very impressive build!
Thank you! Definitely opened up alot of eyes.
Great times! I’m still mad I never got a ride in that thing 🤬
Hahahaha!
Brutal
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Damm Brandon that boat is awesome 👍🏻! I would of tried that too 💯!
What happened to that boat?
Thanks bro, we sold it about 3 years ago.
I miss my jet boat !!!!!😢😢😢😢😢😢
Hahaha I know the feeling
Judging by RPMs, it’ll probably go much faster
Yea it basically pegged at 8000rpms but lost aboost up top. Definitely had more in it
Thank you, yes we didn't expect it to go that fast. Was a wild ride! 🤙🏼🙏🏼
Seems slow for a 25’ Daytona.
🤣🤣 yea i agree, most run in the 140's
music sucks
😂
STi Brandon?
Sounds like a variable pitch prop would be great to change the aggressiveness once the turbp is spooled

Hahahahaa it's super supra 2jz engine! That better??
