I heard using premix causes the engine to run leaner and hotter? Because the carbs are not jetted for it? I have a vmax 700 xtc and it smokes like crazy after it sits over night. Someone told me it's probably an oil pump failure and need a new one. Well, I bought a used good working condition one and plan on putting it in. So I'm just wondering if this is true?
I don’t know about that? I just like the piece of mind knowing my engine is getting oil. Yours sounds like oil or gas is leaking in your cylinder when it sits? Maybe your float?
Can you just unplug the throttle cable ? Job done? Or you have to disconnect the hose from the tank , loop hose to the carb and loop hose to the pump ?
@@danofalltrades3567 did you have any failure with leaving the pump on without oil running true it ? I saw there was a block off plate made for this but i want to do it the safest way possible!
What's the oil fuel ratio when you delete the oil injection pump. I've got a 01 Polaris XC 800. Pretty near died riding the first time as I just bought this Tuesday, fumes are brutal. Why I'm leaning towards to much oil. Thanks if you have any suggestions.
Thanks for the help just got a snowmobile and I didn't feel like figuring out the oil injection
And yup, that is great info indeed,
thank you for sharing.
What would happen if I don’t use a blocker plate
Can you leave the pump on there instead of getting a block off playe
Should be fine. Just disconnect the the throttle cable

I’m not sure if just disconnecting the throttle cable would completely shut off oil supply? I guess even if it didn’t you would just be running rich?
@@danofalltrades3567 that was also my guess ! Thanks for the feedback!

@@luongobolduc21 no issue leaving it on. I personally like the block off plate though. Makes it cleaner looking👌

32.1 used to be the industry standard. I think now days people are using more like 40.1
Oil injection is the dumbest shit ever lol pumps fail and blow ur engines like the one I just got lol smfh stupid design
