    Man, I want one of these so bad. I’m thirteen years old and have played with various honor bands such as the ILMEA JHB, won a scholarship, and have played a payed TAPS gig at Cantigny Park for Memorial Day. I absolutely love to play and it would be my absolute DREAM to use this horn

      Interesting comment. There really isn't much difference in the specs of a Yamaha Xeno and a Bach 37. They both are standard weight 37 models - and both are widely popular among professionals.
      I hate to say it - but I don't think you really made that radical of a change. Six of one - half dozen of the other. 🤷‍♂️

      Hello! I know I'm a bit late, but I'm also someone who currently uses a Yamaha Student Model, and I'm looking into buying a Strad. How has it held up, and also, how's the 3c?

      @@bluecat4148 I don’t use a 3C anymore. I’ve been through all the sizes and for me a Bach 1-1/2C works best for me. And I personally believe that a Bach strad will work for whatever you want it to do. Highly recommend

    I bought one of these in late 20019. I've been playing since 1953 so I'm not a newbie. The one I received was beat up. Someone else had had some "fun" with the trumpet. Of note, the plating was awful and the valves, all three, stuck. I returned this one and received another trumpet. It was OK, but not the quality of pre-strike Bachs. The third piston was stuck into the valve. I worked on this for over a year and all of the valves kept sticking at one time or another. I cleaned the trumpet, and used different valve oils and still the valves stick. My opinion, the Bach is junk, $3,200.00 junk. Recently I was invited to play a solo part, Centone 5#3. Just a few measures into the piece, the 1st valve stuck, and then the third valve wouldn't go back up when depressed. I had to stop, in total embarrassment. I then got my backup trumpet, a CONN Connstellation 52BSB and literally killed the solo.

    This is a really solid brand and model that really has no issues. (I have one as my B flat along with a Bach "Chicago C" and a Stomvi E flat/D). Well, maybe one small issue is that it is a fairly heavy trumpet - assuming that might be an issue for you. it is great for orchestral work and such. If you are inclined to play something like jazz, you might look around for something else, although the "Bach Strad" is pretty good for anything.

    I just bout a 50th Anniversary Bach Stradivarius. It’s the old school 190 two piece valve block with the one piece bell seemed on the brace side. It’s old school Bach. I was weaned on. Mt Vernon Bach in 68.I’m waiting on a 1C Bach Artisan mouthpiece . It also goes back to the early days of Bach

    • @redbaronsn
      @redbaronsn 8 років тому +19

      When you have players of equal skill then the hardware can make a separation.

    • @redbaronsn
      @redbaronsn 7 років тому

      +daScottishninja Brandon922@windstream.net for sure it's not just black & white in regards to the hardware making a difference. However, you have a great point about pro model horns can make the effort to produce a great sound with less effort. I am also a sax player primarily along with flute, clarinet, bagpipe, & added trumpet my senior year in high school. I would say the big difference I find in saxophones in regards to sound is in the upper & lower registers in a student/mid range sax versus a pro model. Slight differences that make a difference to a discerning ear.

    • @ethanwilson9942
      @ethanwilson9942 7 років тому +3

      it depends on the player but also the trumpet does make a difference

    EXCELLENT HORN!
    BUT........
    Endorsements like these leave a bad taste in my mouth. I LOVE Bach but I also love a lot of other brands as well. You can rave about your brand without inferiorizing other brands. As I said, I love a good Bach Strad but I also love a good Yamaha, Besson, Benge, Kanstul, Stomvi, Getzen, Martin Committee and many many others.
    Come on, Bach spokesperson(s). Do better. Talk about how great Bach is without talking about how inferior you think other brands are.
