I put those Wilkinson pickups in a very low end Chinese jazz bass and in an old Squire P bass. Very happy with them. If anyone is wondering the difference between Squire and Vintage… I’d probably give it to Vintage. I know the pickups are better plus new Squire basses are being made cheaper and with lesser quality material. Vintage uses much better tone woods.
This is literally like getting a 1600 dollar fender for a fraction of the price . Btw you're right Wilkinson are awesome pickups for an excellent price . Also yes I love jazz basses but nothing beats a precision.
I want to purchase 2 “vintage” basses. Can you tell me what brand pick guard I can use to replace the white one for a tortoise one? I pretty much want the same look as your modded bass shown here but without the relic.
This is a far better bass than the Fender Player Series precision basses that are going for 800 before taxes . I also have that exact Wilkinson split coil pickup in my precision bass . I would never swap it out even for Seymour Duncan Steve Harris or Quarter pounder pickup . Sounds perfect . Also this V4 has mostly Wilkinson hardware . The machineheads , bridge for example . Definitely worth 450 .
@@ejmusicofficial you'd probably have to get an off brand pickguard. 1 or 2 of the screws probably won't fit since fenders screw pattern would probably get them a copyright strike
I have the same bass in "Firenza Red" version and I can confirm that it is VERY heavy! I replaced the tuners with the light alloy ones from Hipshot and the difference is certainly noticeable but it is always a very heavy bass! On the technical specifications it says that the body is in alder, then those alder trees that they used, have grown them by watering them with lead-based water !!🤣 I own other alder basses but none are that heavy!

This is true. Wilkinson pickups are a nice upgrade for Squier, Cort, SX, Harley Benton.. any cheap bass
Great sound! Thank you much for the demo! 🙏

Yes, I have the Vintage V75 and man, id put it up to any fender any day
Man it sounds great through that GR amp.
Please make a left handed version. I already own your fretless Jaco J bass, and it's amazing.
My favorite bass!
Looks nice and sounds the part

Just put one on lay-away at my guitar store it. I'm a guitar player it's going to be my first bass!!!
I like the black stingray but don't see it on their website.
Hi, can I ask what is the brand of the new pickguard? Is it from Fender or Squier? thanks in advance.
Hi!
What Wilkinson pickup does exactly have that bass built in? It sounds really great.
Wilkinson makes only one pickup model for precision basses .If you want to swap one into your present bass you can get one for 30 - 40 bucks .
Chcę taki bas! 🧐
Where did you get the tortoise shell pick guard if fenders don’t fit?
I think fenders can fit
@@ejmusicofficial nah they don’t believe me I’ve tired hahaha
@@mikeyonbass 😂 what pick guard would fit?

@@ejmusicofficial Get one made...same as the existing. It won't be cheap though.
Price???
Obviously it will need a setup if that's how its gonna sound when it arrives. Fret buzz.
Thing weighs a thousand kilos, my first bass I ever owned, would recommend a different one for people that want to play more serious
No it doesn’t ?
It’s light as fuk
The jazz basses are heavier
