- Vintage V4 Icon. If only there was a Fender Precision that felt amazing and cost under £500. Well there is. It's called the Vintage V4. Loaded with Wilkinson pickups and fitted with Wilkinson hardware, this P bass is brilliant.
I've owned a Fender P bass and although it was nice, it never quite lived up to my hopes whereas this Vintage V4 icon feels wonderful. With 20 frets, a stain neck and rosewood fretboard it feels just as you'd expect but the fretboard has a niceedge to it and the frets are dressed wonderfully so it plays like a dream.

..I just got mine ..playable straigh out of the box..intonaation was perfect. made few adjustment: i turn trustrod half round tighter, change strings, adjust pickup heights and lower strings just a little bit ..Perfect . Big hand to Vintage Guitars .
This is the bass that made me realize i am a jazz bass guy.
I tried to love it but the neck was too fat and totally cramped my hands, felt like grabbing a baseball bat.
The fit and finish was pretty subpar but nothing you couldn't fix yourself.
the tone knob had issues and that headstock is just massively huge..

Nice review! That bass really sounds very authentic. Just one question: If the body is so lightweight, what about neckdive? The headstock seems pretty chunky compared to other P-bass models. So did you guys test the weight balance on the strap by any chance? Thanks for the response in advance!
if it stays in tune, & each strings has the same volume n tone 90% done.the.wilkinson magic

Is the Reissue series the same of icon, except aged painting or there are some other differencies?

Everything about that bass does look good…except for the size of that headstock…it’s disproportionately large.
Pick up is too hot in my opinion.
I have this bass but with black color. The pickup is good, the neck is really comfortable.
@@BukanIbuMu it doesn’t sound bad. Just not for me. But I di think it could sound more vintage if it was less aggressive more the warm side.
@@fernandorivera2271 I think these pickups are set-up too high so they sound a little more 'gainy' and hot

@@fatkurohhimseptiantopraset5852 cukup bagus ini buat jari yg gede om. Kalo buat jari yg kecil nan manja mending ambil jazz bass.
