Use a relay to stop the flickering. Otherwise, with a little knowledge, a load resistor and capacitor setup can be used. Had no idea the stupid things came apart tho! So I took the whole headlight assembly out, 'twice: removed the spring clip, then reasembled. Seriously needed a beer after that! Like who reads the instructions when changing a bulb? Nice one 👍 x

Great video, thanks! If your car has CAN-BUS, it will bring up error code and the headlight will start flashing (switching on and off sometimes). You need to purchase the CAN-BUS error cancellers to solve this issue.
I bought a set of these for my 107 were fairly easy to fit although I removed the headlamps for easier access no canbus errors at all 😁 had my car in for an MOT with these fitted and it passed with no comments!!! how long these last is just a matter of time !

At 4:33, 6000K or 6000 lumen's are completely different things! 6000K , for Kelvin, refer to light temperature! In other words warm color (more yellow) or cooler color (more blue). In this case 6000k is a super bright white (a lot of blue). Example 4000K would be a normal yellowish light! 3500 LUMEN refer to the light intensity in a given unit of time. So one is color (K), the other intensity (lm). Than there's power (W), etc. But that's another story! LOL 😂
They are very fiddly on my Aygo to change because I did it a month ago but the LED bulbs are very bright so I'll give them a go next time I have to change them. Thanks for that.
I used halfords advance 200% h4’s in my transporter, seems good. Not sure how ling they last but hopefully better than your experience of the Phillips ones. Sure they came with 12 months warranty too.
MOT special notice 01-21: headlamp conversions From March 22 2021, not all motorcycles and vehicles will fail the MOT test if their halogen headlamp units have been converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs.
I got some for £20 and I measured them with my meter using 1.3a per bulb which means they use about 30w for the pair so about a 90w saving. They're not brighter then my original halogens, the beam pattern is perfect. My only issue is that the main beam is too high when the dipped beam is in the correct position. I'm thinking of maybe taking the light out and either adding a defuser or a clear scatter lense to alter the angle at which the main beam fires. My only worry is the heat they may experience covering the LEDs I'm probably really sad but I calculated that after 400 hours of operation they will have theoretically paid for themselves considering electricity costs 55p/kWh using petrol to generate it. It's probably not that noticeable though considering you're only saving 5p/h of operation (my Aygo costs 10p/mile currently so I get a free 1/2 mile for every hour driving at night xD).
Since OSRAM led costs 75€ for the couple, worth trying for 18€. Even tough IMHO the better choice are Laser vision, same price and they are 150%+ compared to standard osram bilux purchased with aygo\c1\107 as standard. Thanks for this video.

They won't pass MOT. You will have to pop the old ones back in. If you are happy driving round with illegal bulbs for 364 days that up to you. It's easy for the MOT tester to tell. Stock LED lights are in projector headlights not in reflector headlights. But these do seem to have a pretty good beam pattern so you should be ok. If you drive like a spanner round McDonald's car park you will be easy pickings for PC plod. People with poor LED headlights annoy me nearly as much as people who drive round with there fog lights on when it's neither foggy or snowing, it's usually when it's raining and they glare off the road. Rant over! 😂
@@rsmickeymooproductions4877 They're not road legal as they're not E-marked for road use, but an MOT tester isn't allowed to remove them to inspect them either. The legislation is out of date in some respects, when it was written LEDs didn't exist. I've got a full set of LEDs in my Volvo (dipped, main, fogs, whole interior - even the glove box) and I've never failed as they're all aimed properly where they should be. There's no max output for headlights, they're more bothered about where it's aimed - get that spot on and you're fine. Cheap LEDs tend to be (but aren't always) worse for this, you need an LED that has the little diodes exactly where a halogen filament would be. I've got expensive ones in mine and they mimic halogens perfectly, other than the light output. I can't promise the police won't stop you but I've had mine in for over a year and never been pulled, not even a flash from an oncoming car.
in the T6 you can install canbus error free anti flicker resistor, I have no experience with these adapters but you can find them on ebay for 8€ each, as for the bulbs, I purchased them 1 month ago for a ford fiesta mk6 and after 2 weeks one of them has stoped working, i replaced them with my old halogen philips h4 x-tremevision that worked for 4 months with no issues, in the mean time i sent them that I had one defected bulb and they where willing to send me a new one, I accepted but Im not sure if the bulb was defected, bad quality or the air flow inside the headlight is poor, the rubber cap that has a distance of about 1.5 cm from the base of the bulb but I thought most headlights have the same specs more or less. Id love to see how it goes with you and if they last long enough in your case. btw 6000k is not the lumens, is the light temperature (kelvin)
I’m sure you know this but 6000K refers to the colour temperature, not the brightness. 6000K is quite blue. Lower K values will give a more yellow light. But the colour temperature has no bearing on brightness 😊
beamtech get some decent reviews...would be intrested in what you think to those , although they have a bigger heatsink so might not fit...good video , a horn upgrade would be intresting too

Recent change to MOT testing apparently made it a fail to put LED bulbs into halogen headlights (and with good reason considering all the people blinding everyone else on the road!) - but these seem actually decent. Have you got a followup after using them for a while?
I don't understand why they don't just do a like for like replacement.... So a 60w lightbulb would be replaced by a 6-8w LED instead of the 20w LED bulbs currently on the market, they might even be able to get away with not using a heat sink at those wattages and they could have build in circuitry so they're a straight swap like house lights. The main reason I'd considering upgrading is the 5% fuel saving at 30mph (I did the math for an Aygo getting 70mpg, so the economy hit on a less efficient car will be lower) and the fact you wouldn't drain the battery very quickly with the engine off and the lights on.
I've got led headlight bulbs in my vivaro and passed last 2 MOTs with them in no problem as the beam pattern is fine, not once been flashed by oncoming traffic either, I do think that them being h4 bulbs is the difference cos I've had issues with same bulbs in h7 form

As long as the beam pattern and the colour of the light is correct - then there is no reason an LED upgrade bulb will fail an MOT

Those bulbs won't pass but led projectors are fine, they dont use the housing reflector. Fitted to my Aygo and the diffence is amazing
