Bob barker was the most exciting host who gave this show the same feeling as the contestant. Nowadays, game shows are not like they used to be , all about winning.
I've seen them go with the odds when they rolled a 5 and it was a 6 and they lost. Sometimes you have to make a difficult decision to go against the odds in order to win. That was an excellent performance of the Dice Game. 🎲 Tough decision pays off and her selflessness of giving the car to her granddaughter makes it that much better. Great job, Helen! 😊
It's not all about luck, but she DID get very lucky. It was a terrible choice that, by sheer luck, worked out for her. only the first number you choose in this game involves any knowledge. The rest are just best to play the odds.
The other contestants' outcomes have absolutely nothing to do with what strategy should be employed for winning this one. She got lucky with a bad choice, that's all.
@@jiltedensign7479 OK, let's get rid of the word 'bad', since that can be interpreted different ways. It was an unwise choice, but she got lucky and won. An unwise, but 'good' choice due to luck.
she was like baron stewart, although he almost pulled a helen, as for bob he started revealed the last number, and he lost the car on the 1 (being lower than 2), the was the only digit he missed.
No, it isn't. There is no way for that to be true since the producers can't control which number she rolls. That's just your emotion clouding your judgement.
I used to think there was a random aspect about who was selected. Then I read an article in TV Guide many years ago saying they choose people to fit demographics: somebody in a military uniform, a grandmotherly type, a cute blonde, and of course a potpourri of minorities.
came in expecting her to start throwing dice at Bob or something....now THAT would be some dice game mayhem!!
i love these long shot wins. they build the drama so well in these games

Drew get genuinely excited and happy for contestants who win, without harassing models ;-)
Rest in peace, Bob.
@@daboxownsall you didn’t have to add that last comment in he is a greatest game show host ever
Warms my heart so much to see her wanna give that care to someone in her family rather than keep it for herself
She went against the odds and it worked for her.

That was good, going against the odds on a 5 and it's a 6, it's all about luck in DG.
as for baron stewart it was good
what's bad was the he loses on the last digit when he said higher than 2

I'd say. She otherwise would've lost the car. The odds were in her favor like Katniss from the Hunger Games.
I miss Bob Barker
That's a miracle!!! Going against the odds!!
Well, she had a 1-in-5 chance on that number. Not really a miracle ... but she did get lucky, yes.
@@leomdk939 the audience was a 98% to go lower but she was the 2% & beated the odds
I thought she lost with that third roll. How exciting that it worked in her favor!
Production manager: "ugh, just make it a six..."
A NEW CAAAAAAAAAAR!
Then again, Rod Roddy said it exactly the same way in late 1980s episodes.
Congratulations
Just maybe is a six is it? (Bell ring) yeah! Yeah! Incredible! 2:13
this new car should have been a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette restomod frame-off restoration fuel injected
Guess the price, win the prize.
Well, she did....
1:35 - you just know the producers backstage were like "DAMMIT" when she went higher - 99 out of 100 players would have guessed lower and lost.
Lately I've seen people get burned in this game when they go with the odds.

@@leomdk939 Calling it 'a bad choice' was really a stretch since 'a good choice' would have lost her the game.

Rest in peace bob Barker
When I see videos like this, I cant help but think theodore was in the audience that day.
I understood that reference
For real drama they should wait until they picked all of the numbers. Still, always fun to see a winner.
Awesome win! 🚗 🚗 🚗 🚗
I got to credit to the guys who designed these games......pretty cool

Lucky
That was fun!
Yay it did it, it did it!!! ✊🏻✊🏻😃😃 2:17
See Bob Barker made things interesting when he did The Price is Right, Drew Carey is just a Fruit Cake on stage in a suit.
Usually more often than not the actual numbers go against the odds.
What is the air date?
9/25/2006
Greatest odds ever and she beat them
Did she ever!!
Who knew?
ELMO!!!!
The audience didn't like it when she said "higher".
smart audience, she got lucky
This just proves once and for all that Bob Barker is way better than Drew Carey for hosting the Price Is Right
Patrick Maruniak Drew Is Doing A Great Job!
Bb is the man of the hour . No need for dumb jokes like drew, who has no class for being a great game show host
Being a game show host and a comedian are two different things.
@@danielmartinez9141 I always thought Barker was a creepy guy
Unbelievable

A new little egg car...yaaaaay
With these types of games after the first roll the numbers are somewhat arbitrary and the producers could be making it up live.
I thought the 4th number of the price was a 3 & not a 6.
Wow!
I would have purposefully lost the Aveo. Complete garbage lol.
10 black people in audience 4 of them will make it at least to contestants row
I used to think there was a random aspect about who was selected. Then I read an article in TV Guide many years ago saying they choose people to fit demographics: somebody in a military uniform, a grandmotherly type, a cute blonde, and of course a potpourri of minorities.
so a 'grandmotherly' minority or 'a cute blonde in a military uniform' is an absolute guarantee for getting on the show???
I don't think you understand the word MAYHEM
How about the word "clickbait"?
stupidity wins. reminds me of Trump's win in 2016.
You’re very brave. We’re all so proud of you
