Agreed. He had a beautiful way of keeping the pent-up energy toward a win (or potential win, or even loss) so that no matter what the result it was felt at its peak. TPIR just isn't the same without him.

Boy do I miss the times Golden Road was actually won. If they fire Mike, it will be won, same with Triple Play. The last Golden Road win was in 2008 on the Million Dollar Spectacular.

The snowmobile and whatever he won to get on stage would’ve covered the taxes on the motor home. Why couldn’t he sell those. Worst case scenario, he sells the motor home for $50,000 and pays the taxes and still makes $40K. Today now he probably pays $2k in rent for living in Northern California.
Drew does not stall like Bob did. I think it takes the fun out of parts of the show. When people auditioned for Bob's job, my vote would have gone to the man who did the Mexican TPIR, Marco Antonio Regil, because his style was a lot like Bob, including the stalling.
