Price is Right -- Dice Game -- You can't get better than this

- Here is one of the most beautiful playing of "Dice Game" from the Price is Right. Watch how the contestant performs. Hosted by Bob Barker. In my opinion, it is not perfection, but a lucky roll of the dice.
For those wanted the perfect 6's from the Drew Carey era, click the link below.

*The nostalgic feeling of staying home from school comes rushing back.*
that voice reminds me of sick days for sure
@@kylefrank6533 Or "sick" days lol
Eating cereal out the box on the floor in the living room.
@@positivecynik I would do the mom talk to get to stay home. Eat breakfast while watching Saved By The Bell. Go back to sleep and wake up to either people screaming on Maury/Springer or Price is Right. Good times.
Ah, indeed. Nothing reminds me of my Mom more than this.
Enjoy this because after it’s over, the soaps start and TV sucks until 3 in the afternoon.
@jimmyglea(open): In those days, it might've been 4 PM. Then you got your talk shows, syndicated repeats, or maybe the first edition of the pre-6PM newscast.
4 hours until Oprah...
Noon: Bozo, then soaps and Dark Shadows until 3: Gigglesnort Hotel, 3:30: Speed Racer, 4: Magillah Gorilla/Wally Gator, 5: Hogan's Heroes, 5:30: I Dream of Jeanie, 6: dinner.
When the soaps started after TPIR, it was time to turn on the nintendo.
@@warrenduree9417 Oh yeah. I was lucky enough to have my own TV in my room. So after TPIR, if I had the energy and was still awake when I was sick or in the summer, I'd turn on my Game Cube.
LOL, my favorite part is that he basically ensured she wouldn't give the wrong answer on the last number -- probably because he was afraid he may have confused her with his earlier responses. Bob Barker was a great host.
Wow. That car is now crushed into a cube somewhere.
I was going to say.... "You never know"..... But it was a Ford Escort. Yep...... cube. Or made into 20,000 coke cans.
With the one guy who didn't want any part of Goldfinger's plan inside it!

Bob was always there for us on those sick days home from school
And the boring dog days of summer when it was too hot to go outside and play! At 11am, the tv was tuned to TPIR.
Bob was a little confused. Still reeling from his fight with Happy Gilmore.
The price is wrong, b*!
@@CommanderBalok ;-D
TheBigScat, What makes this so funny is.....Bob won that fight!!! Imagine how confused he would have been if he LOST!!! LOL!
he truly wanted the folks to win. being home sick from school
I'd watch this at 11am with mom. (not too sick for TPIR of course.)
I commented something similar. It's crazy how many people associate TPIR with staying home from school. And if you stayed awake after getting your mom to call you out "Saved by the Bell" was the go to. Good times.
Never!
Summers and vacations.
Just don't skip Press Your Luck or Sale Of The Century at 10 30 am
Bob Barker is a legend. Since I went to elementary school on afternoons, I could watch this show on CBS every single day. Great stuff.
For sure! I do think that Drew Carey does a respectable job, at hosting the show now. There were definitely wore choices out there, to take over the hosting duties. One of the finalists to host the show, was Rosie O'Donnell...Can you say, HELL NO!!! Had she won the gig in Studio City California, that would have been the end of it, for me. He is just a repulsive human being, and I could never stand why people thought that she was so funny and talented. Well, I thank the heavens that Drew Carey got the hosting job, and that the Bob Barker studio, is not being overtaken by Rosie O'Donnell. ( By the way, I am NOT against the LGBTQ segment of the population ) I just want to make that clear. I just genuinely despise Rosie...
@@davidgordon702 I'm no fan of hers, either.
Bob Barker is a national treasure.

Drew is doing a good job, but no one will ever be as good on this show as Bob.
I still watch occasionally but Bob made this show everything it is. Dry humor, sarcastic humor, kindness and a lot of sass!
Hell yeah. Drew Carey seemed to have fir right in, to the roll of hosting one of the best game shows ever. As I have stated in a previous post, Rosie O'Donnell was one of the finalists to host the show, and i really do not like her. Drew Carey was a way better choice. With his sarcastic, dry humor, and his quick responses to things that transpire on the show, he definitely was a good choice to host it. And I believe that Bob Barker would be proud of the way that he has maintained the show for the last decade or so. And have no problems with it continuing as it is, for the next ten years, or longer...
Drew Carey isn’t bad now.
Front *and* rear floor mats? Wow. TPIR went all out on that car.
I know right! Heck, my car didn’t even come with that, I had to buy mine.
They called it the Escort because it would take you anywhere you wanted to go, but cost a lot of money, and you certainly didn't want your friends to see you getting a ride in it.
12.99 for set of 4 at Walmart's everywhere!
It’s a Ford Escort. It didn’t have a lot of upgrade options.
Back then it was a $60 upgrade for factory floormats
Legend has it that Lena is still driving that Ford escort today.
LOL. I was thinking the same but..... It was a Ford Escort. Lena likely drove it 120K miles then sent it off to the local junk yard to be turned into Coke cans.
Was all downhill after her improbable run on TPIR

its still sat in her garage in perfect condition. She failed her driving test 26 times
Bob, thanks for the memories🙏🏿😭!!
Anyone else feeling a little nostalgic, thinking about being sick and home from school? 😥
Pretending to be sick is more like it. What can I say, I didn’t like school. 😬✌️
@Paul Cover MY 1991 Geo Prizm cost about THAT ($12,000- ). 1 of 2 brand NEW vehicles I've EVER owned!
The other was an (early model year) 2005 Dodge Caravan! I bought it Memorial DAY weekend 2004!
I bought a 1998 Ford Escort SE in March 1999. OK. it was a year old. When I drove it home, my brother Jimmy asked, "Where's YOUR Geo Prizm? What is THAT? A rental car"?
I replied (doing my Melanie Griffith impersonation from the 🎥 "MILK 💰"), "NO! I bought IT"!
Jimmy & Nancy (our sister; she looked out the window at the new addition to the family!) Looked at ME!
We all had an hour with Uncle Bob when we didn't go to school.
There was a picture of an old _Price is Right_ promotional image that circled around online some years ago with the text:
"Every day spent home from school was spent with Bob."
@@drewzuhosky6826 I remember seeing something like that.
@@drewzuhosky6826 Where is it now?
Oh, I have seen perfection from one contestant. Someone once rolled all 4 numbers exactly right on the nose, without having to say higher or lower in 1996.

I swear Everytime this game came on I'd hope to see somebody do this but never did. So awesome, This is what UA-cam is for!
Bob: You won a Ford Escort, Lena!
Lena: How about you keep that piece of junk and give me those cool dice.
Lolol "can you do me a favor and just say I that I didn't play?'
Better than that REAL piece of junk, the Chevy Cavalier, or as I call it the Burn-up car!
There's another player in the Barker era named Walter who rolled every single number in the price. Now that was a perfect game!

Good thing she rolled that 5 not over the line.
No doubt!
@@BillGraper No, then it would have hit. the 1 and the 6 were the number so she got them. Didn't have to do the higher or lower. But getting the 6 and it not being right means she knows it's lower. Surprised they didn't make her say it anyway.
@@calibre97 What we're saying is if the 5 would've been over the line, she would've probably said "lower," and it was a 6. She would've lost.
@@BillGraper if she rolled the five, she wouldn't have had to guess higher or lower, because the number was spot on.
@@UrMomsChauffer We're talking about 1:12 when it didn't go over the line. She rolled a 5 on that roll. The number was a 6. If she had to keep that 5, she probably would've said lower & lost.
Based on the number layout, you can clearly see the producers didn't want to give away the car this time. Must have been a budget buster episode.

Last week, a man rolled all 6's in this game with Drew Carry. Drew said he believed it was the first time someone had done that.
Bob deserves some credit too... the way he tossed her the dice.
This was back when this game show really had class.
Brings tears to my eyes thank you Bob
I can remember watching the Price Is Right, all the way back in the 1970s.
I don't know why but I get SO MUCH JOY from seeing people win these crazy prizes in these happenstance ways. I can't even imagine standing there on national television only two minutes after my name got called and having Bob Barker explain to me that I won a car and I didn't have to actually beat the game. I think it's just wonderful.
Dang. now you really know when someone says that was the good ole days... Miss that boy Bob Barker
At the chance of sounding old, I remember when the new cars were only around $3000 to $4000!! Ok, yeah, I'm old! LOL!!! 😁

Remember when they used to give simple, easy going cars? I do too 👍
Brings back some memories definitely not the same in 2019...Lol...
Everything changed after Drew took. I myself am liking the fact that they have some fine looking guy models on the show now. Bob wouldn't have changed who the models were.
@@bethwhitehall7871 I think Drew brought the family atmosphere back that Bob's era didn't have near the end. And I say that as someone who loved Bob as a teenager in his final years. He and the show was all I talked about back then, recorded it every day too while in school. But Drew totally changed the feel from then for the better IMO, even if he's not as polished a host as Bob was.
That Lena's hot!
That price actually made it tough. With a 1 and a 6 in the price if she had rolled a 2 or a 5 on those she'd have guessed higher then lower and lost to the odds. Very lucky here.
Most amazing rolling I've ever seen on this game.

Marathon Watching 11/5/2020 Excellent rolls .... congratulations 🍾🎊🎉 lady! Bob she did it right!
THAT is why THIS is my VERY favorite pricing game!
That's also the story of my life: I finally win something but it's a Ford Escort...
There's only ONE thing that can happen in this video and I'm still watching with anticipation.
Good game. Great how they landed, too. Way to go.
This Ford Escort comes with doors and an engine....
"as Extra's" LOL !!
Don't forget the floormats LOL
And four full-size tires.
Windows optional
And a locking trunk!
This a very clever loophole too, you automatically win the game if you just roll ones and sixes regardless of whether if it’s in the price or not. They’re the lowest and highest numbers possible respectively.
I've only seen one do all four numbers exactly right in my lifetime. Odds are 1 in 300 or so. But the fact I've seen it once, proves it can be done.
U dnt have to c it to know that it can be done

20+ years later and she's still paying the IRS for that car.

Doubtful, but I do wonder what happens to those people who win the showcase showdown and get a bunch of big ticket items. Does the IRS go after them as a sales tax or not?
@@wolfpackflt670 Counts as income. IRS maxes at 37%, plus any city and state income tax depending on where you live.
I had a professor that won something on that show. They let you cash out the items for the retail amount and hand you a tax form along with the money.
@@wolfpackflt670 It's income. Some people drive the car for a year then sell it to pay the taxes.

As close to Dice Game perfection as we may ever see.
R.i.p bob
For those that wonder about this game or that it is easy, note that AT THE TIME there was a tendency for the second digit in the price of the cars to be 5 or 6, and now there is a tendency for them to be 1 or 2 meaning that if the person rolls a 2-4 they are LIKELY to pick high, because that is what the statistics say to do, but it is MORE LIKELY to to be low, so a lot of people mess that up if they are not lucky enough to get the number correct or roll a 1. (or as 6)
This was recommended to me cause I watch a shit ton of those best/worst game show moments compilation videos
