Hello ITJungles, I'm a bit desperate with the "Messages App" at the moment. I had a Huawei and never had any problems with "Messages". But now I have an iPhone and I had to say goodbye to all "Messages" sms because I couldn't transfer the app to the iPhone..
now i brought out my old huawei because i wanted to read an important sms. Suddenly, however, some important messages were removed from the chat, they were only displayed with a "closed padlock" and "contact name"...
but not all messages.. only the most important ones for me. Do you maybe know why and can you help me for getting those messages back?

So what happens, in a message conversation, if one of the receivers does NOT have the encryption enabled? Will all the messages still be viewed for both receivers?
So I assume even with this on, texting from Android/Google to an iPhone, it will still be unencrypted?
how about ios user? there's no "chat setting" and no lock icon below send button. so no end-to-end encryption for iphone?

A friend of mine is in an abusive relationship with a controlling boyfriend. He got her to use chat instead of her regular service and added end in end encryption. Not sure if any of our messages are getting through. Could he use a public key to intercept and delete her messages?

Your end to end encryption video doesn't play. It just has the loading spiral & thumbnail.
I am not sure why. Maybe UA-cam still processing the video.

How do you turn ot back on when it disappears? I can't see the option and there is no click back on the lock Or unlock icon. It randomly disappeared with my friend and myself

I think you have to have the same setting as your friend set up..we kinda figured it out by mistake haha
