Do you have building plans for the trap?
Hi william castillo I build 3 different sizes small, medium and large. This ones the large one. I haven't written the dimensions down in a plan or diagram. I build these to the Western Australia's Fisheries specs. Everyone builds them different but this is just the way I build them!!! It has to have 3 escape gaps at the back and sides of it, they've got to be a minimum size and the neck or entrance has got a minimum size as well. Depending where you are the laws will be more than likely different.
Great build Rodney Harris! Looking to build some for this season how much do you think the materials cost all up?
I build 3 different sizes small, medium and large in pine and jarrah. They've got steel bottoms, there bolted and double nailed with jarrah frames and pine slats. I also do jarrah slats. I sell the Large Jarrah ones for $240- and the large Pine ones for $200-. I do the Medium Jarrah ones for $190- and the Medium Pine ones for $180-. I do the Small Jarrah ones for $175- and the Small Pine ones for $165-. You can check them out on my facebook if you like. For the Large ones you'll need a craypot winch to pull them up there quite heavy.
Where did you get the plastic bait holder and release gaps from??
I got them from Getaway Outdoors!!
Cheers mate, im 16 and keen to start making my own
Cool good luck and all the best!!
