#FinalFantasy7Remake #FF7 #FinalFantasy7
Lmao imagine watching a trailer and then it reads that YOU are the director without knowing it
Aaron Loosen This reminds me of the time Nintendo announced that Sakurai would be directing Smash 4, without him even knowing it.
Armarti That was Brawl, not Smash 4.
Marlotix Yes, it was Brawl! My bad!
@@adrianmarti Not exactly accurate, they announced a new smash game without sakurai knowing about it prior
Then iwata contacted him privately after the announcement to ask him to direct it and if he didn't, they would make a port of melee with online instead
I was more surprised that the models of a CGI movie were not good enough for a game. What times we're living. Where games have better graphics than movies. I mean the movie is older, yes, but not that old.
"he worried about the mortality of the original team" talk about thinking ahead
Going to be another 5 years before the second part is released!
@@sor3999 THAT LONG? WTF?
sor3999 idk about that since they have that AI lip syncing it’ll make things move much faster and the next part is probably already been in development... i just hope it doesn’t cone out as fast as RE3 did in contrast to 2 because that game ended up feeling like dlc
hot bread every part after this, will feel like DLC. 100GB DLC lol. But I’m ok with that. Because I want me progress to transfer over, and I don’t want to learn a a whole new combat system. Tweak it, yes. But don’t change it completely.
hot bread RE3 was made by a different studio unfortunately. They used the assets from RE2 which is why it looks similar.
Wait, what? Cloud wasn't a silent protagonist in the original ff7. Pretty sure, when talking about the writing, he was referring to how the text in general would have to be rewritten for it to be believable spoken word dialogue. Imagine reading the dialogue as it was in the original ff7 out loud; it would be silly.
He definitely wasn't silent. He talks all the dang time.
But I would love to hear him say to Aerith " Youre the slum drunk, right?!"
This guy are sick.
Patbacknitro honestly like the idea but I hey I’m happy they keep original story
I thought it was good I got into the dialogue and imagine how they would have said it. They definitely nailed Clouds hard headedness
The fact that this remake got so many key members of the original game's team to come back is honestly really awesome and heartwarming
But why is there phantom dementors?
@Slevin that's bullshit and you know it.
It's a sequel because Sepiroth gained the ability to time travel
Haruhi Suzumiya and the whispers were a response to sephiroth time traveling so it’s still a sequel and that’s why their there.
@@twofacezero257
So Square Lied when the said "No big changes, only additions to what already exists"
@@twofacezero257 No, the whispers are Nomura's response to fans who want the game to be a 1 to 1 remake of the original. If Kingdom Hearts 3 has taught us anything, its that Nomura is incredibly petty, and lets that pettiness influence the games he's directing.
Did you know: Sephiroth uses a entire bottle of shampoo to have that gorgeous long anime hair
Is that a DeathBattle reference?
No, I found out by Crisis Core
@@theangrymoon8269 It's Canon actually.
Ah yes, a good ol' shampoo bottle to keep that hair gorgeous. ;)
@Pro Token420 Same, it really needs a rerelease, at the very least
So Nomura was directing the Kingdom Hearts series, then Versus XIII (FFXV), then they took him off it, and at some point put him on the VII remake without even telling him?
Sometimes I wonder how japanese Development Studios are organized.
Take Nintendo for exsample, when you hear how they make decisions, it always seems as if they are a small team, all hanging out in the same clubhouse.
Imagine Nomura, notorious for having confusing storytelling Nomura, being asked input on stuff without knowing hes the director
Cloud was not “originally silent.” He had quite a bit of dialogue in the original FFVII.
It's cool how they were able to get the original developers for the remake
imagin SquareEnix had the thought of "we make it grand or nothing" with FF VI instead of making a shitty mobile/steam port.
The problem with FFVI is that not many people played it compared to the beloved PS1 classic FFVII, VIII and IX. Square probably just thinks its not worth the massive budget.
just because there is a port of ffVI (there is also a steam port of ffVII), doesnt mean they are going to never remake it, but the chaces of that happening are slim because its not as well known as FFVII
It's not like i don't know that FF VI isn't the most well known moneycow like FF VII is.
I'm just nitpicking at this point because it's, most likely, never going to happen (I'm glad if i'm wrong in future).
thanks for the upvotes and replies tho 😁
What's wrong with the Steam port?
I never got around to FFVI, I'd buy a rerelease on console.
They mentioned and hinted that they could work on ffv and vi before viii.
The game OST by itself deserves a Award or ten
I can only hope that FF6 gets a remake like this. Long shot, but my god if it happened..
Seeing Kefka in glorious 3D fights, would be amazing.
I know he had a 3D model in Dissidia, but I'm talking the 3D battle types.
I kind of want a FF6 remake to stay with the old school graphics and turn based, but, and hear me out, in the Octopath Traveller engine. Would work amazingly with a lot of the pre-7 games.
I want that and Chrono Trigger. FFVI is one of the best games I’ve ever had the honor of playing, and that’s without nostalgia. I only really started playing last year on my SNES Classic and though it’s a bit on the easier side, it’s fun and crazy as hell (story wise).
No way. The original FF needs the remake treatment first. The very first game in the series on original Nintendo. Could u imagine that shit!?😍😍🤩🤩👍
Holy hell... can you imagine a Modernizes FF4, FF6, and FF9 oh my lord. I Hope I live to see that day....
If you haven't played the Remake yet get ready for a wild ride. And if you played the original, get ready for stuff to happen differently.
Oh, and make sure you get the ability Counterstance for Cloud... Trust me you will need it.
I'm wondering how the next entry will work out. Will we start at a cap level? Like 40+? Will it grab our first game save file and give us that level instead?
How open will be the open world of Gaia? This first game was way less open but that's fine, because the original, Midgar was a pretty linear situation too.
But the open world? I was hoping this game to release soon but if they are aiming for the quality right now, the next entry will take at least 5 years to release just for them to make the open-world as open and gorgeous as possible.
Personally I loved the game and the changes, have me intrigued.
Honestly wind materia is far more pragmatic advice since you can get it right at the start and it is very convenient at times. Of course counter stance is very useful as well, though if I'm being honest I only ever managed to use it properly in one fight, I mean I killed it in that fight, but it's kinda like giving a crab a toothbrush, maybe it'll luck our at first and figure out how to use it to brush off some gunk from their shell, but they really don't know what they're doing.
@@advmx3 What has me worried is how Yuffie will Join your team with the current fight mechanic, I don't want her to be locked into the story, I like the notion of having to put in some effort to get some characters to join, though I'm also nervous they'll make it to difficult for a player like me to find her, this coming up after I instantly lost a character who didn't get a side quest marker and not even having the opportunity to talk to him for a specific prompt in this game.
Wait what I thought u could counter anyway 🤔
@@manawaedwards1830 I haven't found a counter strike materia yet, but if there is one it will be less powerful than counter stance and only serve to break up the enemies chain with a base attack, which is useful but not as much as an ability that not only will strike if you're hit during its build up, but hit harder.
Cloud was never a silent protagonist...
He had lines... definitely more than most FF protagonists. But he was decidedly silent on most subjects. You definitely get the sense that he wouldn't say anything unless addressed directly, which is something they certainly fixed in the Remake.
That's when I stopped watching.
@@Clymaxx Can't agree. Cloud 's motives and personality had changed by the end. Consider actual silent protagonist like joker and link who pretty much remain the same through out the entire game
Steven Ortiz aside from Mario & Link, I still don’t get why silent characters are still a thing
Sonic Mania it’s really not terribly common these days and even when they have them, it’s usually accompanied by a ton of dialogue tree options. Dragon Quest is really the only series I can think of where it’s still common and it’s because they are firmly set in a template.
This has been an incredible gaming experience, so far. Thank you to all of the team involved - may future chapters be just as engaging!
@@cigma6250 lmao wtf xD
Silent? When was Cloud ever "silent"? Crono was silent. Cloud talks.
It doesn't count when 80% of your dialog lines were "..."
@@jashinslayer But Cloud *does* speak in the original. It isn't just ellipses or what the player chooses.
He does lol, all the time
"Kitase thought I'd know without needing to be told."
This is pretty much Japan in a nutshell. All Japanese people are absolutely certain that all Japanese people know exactly what one another are thinking. They don't, and it's endlessly frustrating.
Rob K Or maybe he just didn’t know he was directing it lol?
I wanna comb my fingers in Cloud's hair.
Me too, no homo
We all do. We all do.
There's just so much to grab onto.
@@NCXitlali I presume you are sarcastic?
Your hands would likely end up bleeding.
Nobuo Uematsu knocked it out of the fucking park with the music
"They redid their characters models from scratch instead of reusing old models"
You hear that Pokemon
in all fairness, pokemon has hundreds of models for all the pokemon, the work to do would be huge, but we are talking about one of the biggest franchise in the world, so they have the resources, sadly they are just lazy.
Teeeechnically Cloud’s face model and Noctis’ from FFXV are exactly the same, the asset was reused. Though of course the updated textures, changes in lighting, colors and different hair hide this so well you would never notice at first glance.
@@ort94041 you shitting me? They have different faces
@@ags8507 They have all this money and they rather sit on it like a Dragon hoarding treasure than use it to produce better looking games.
@Caio Coelho I'm talking about the remake.
I wish more companies put the effort this team does in their games. Lookin at you bethesda, activision, ubisoft and others
It's so poetic, all of the old production team returning to recreate their biggest title in the series. I can't wait to play this game

@Jamie91J story is 25 hours, the side quests are a joke
@Jamie91J it's literally on the guides, IGN, hell you can even UA-cam it lol keep trying you blind final fantasy boy
@Jamie91J you will see when it comes out in your region
It's quite good but very very short
@Jamie91J and there are only a few side quests most are finished within 10 minutes a small few require going around the map but the game is good but like I said very very short and no new game plus just revisit chapters on a harder difficulty
I feel like DYKG is the only one giving out the correct information about FFVII development history. by this point it is common knowledge, idk why everyone else is getting it wrong
Tbh i'm impressed Square still had the models from the movie around that they considered them, however briefly. Especially considering they had to rebuild KH1 from scratch, I would have thought the movie models to be lost too.
I'm glad they didnt.i prefer the longer wait.the character models look better than the movie and I definitely didnt want that tifa
A lot of their early games were lost. FF7 being another infamous one where the source code was lost. That's why the PC port is crappy.
They should of had Maximilian Dood do this
There's already enough gay on this channel.
@@dbnathan5 Nobody likes an asshole, asshole.
He should have done it. Didn't he say FF7 was his favorite game ever?
@@uservenny84 nah, the game is really good until the last hour or something after the chase and every moment that the whispers of fate are on screen. Then it became Kingdom hearts. The new story elements are rock solid but the whispers of fate are annoying asf, get me out of the immersion and make everything confusing in a bad way. Sephiroth was confusing in a good way in the og because it made up a certain sense of mystery, but the whispers of fate are already confirmed to restore any story event what didn't happen in the og or prevent it, so there is no mystery.
Really, they got Super Bunny Hop for the Metal Gear Solid 2 video

@@EvilPikachu Right, cause frozen lemonade tastes bad.
It isn’t called “Midgard.” That’s a Norse thing. The city in FFVII is Midgar.
Thank you!! I thought I was going crazy for a second
OK, I thought I was going nuts. So narrator was saying it wrong, haha.
Where do you think they got the name from?
The name is based on the norse name
Mijdax Completely irrelevant. The name is what it is, and the text was wrong.
I almost thought they renamed "Midgar" to "Midgard" for a second lol
There is a pretty darn cool Easter Egg I've found today.
MILD SPOILERS BELOW
In Chapter 13, you can get a sidequest called "Corneo's Secret Stash", where you have to get a key to open some special doors that lead to rooms filled with loot and the quest items. There are rooms in total, and in each one you'll find a tiara, being "Ruby Tiara", "Emerald Tiara" and "Diamond Tiara", which are shaped after the WEAPON monsters from the original game.
"Originally silent" Cloud? What?
Didn't know that so many people of the original were involved! It shows so much in the OST as well. All 180(!) Tracks sound amazing!
This is what passion, talent, and a need for profit looks like when they combine beautifully.
Did you also know, the Buster Swords model is in FFX, this is either because they were testing assets in the new engine or it was left over from Xs development which started sometime near 7s.
Also there's many signs in Insomina in FF15 with "The First Bank of Spira" in buildings, they've always liked giving throwbacks to other games like in IX when Zidane sees the sword that reminds him of that guy with spikey hair.
"Nomura and Kitase originally planned on adding a subtitle to the game's name but eventually opted against it as they feared people would assume it was a sequel or a spin-off rather than an actual remake"
Heh. *Hahahahahaha*
Between FF7R and KH3 I can't decide which game is prettier to look at, it's scarily impressive how gorgeous games look now. Square has that unique ability to mix stylization and realistic and make it look incredible. If this is what games look like at the end of the PS4's era I can't imagine how most AAA games will look graphics-wise when the PS5 comes to an end lol.
Nomura is damn genius.
NGL that was very unprofessional of Kitase to hand Nomura the role in that manner.
I've never followed the guy's career, so I don't know how he usually handles such matters. But after seeing this video, Kitase sounds like a moron.
@@LorenHelgeson Kitase is a strange way to spell Nomura.
By the way, here's a direct quote from the video you didn't watch nor listen to. "Kitase stepped down from the role of director. In his place *Square* gave the mantle to Nomura." This is something Square Enix higher ups have been doing for years. Attaching Nomura's name to their products because he is one of the only "big name" people left, which results in sales from rabid Kingdom Hearts fans.
@@OilFreeFeathers Did I mix up their names? Oops.
Edit: Also, kiss my ass with that follow up comment. I really don't know why I bother commenting on DYKG videos. There is always, ALWAYS someone who has too much time on their hands, and takes video games way too seriously, who decides it matters that someone got something wrong on the internet.
@@LorenHelgeson I think you're taking this too seriously bud
I’d say this is one if not the most realistic looking games ever
realistic? come on there's nothing realistic about it. it looks great though.
GraveUypo are we looking at the same game? Other than the stupid haircuts it looks pretty photo realistic,
@@S0L3SURV1V0R PC gamer here and even I'm impressed by how good the graphics look.
Kristi Marie the graphics are poor by a modern releases standard. I went from playing Horizon Zero Dawn, releases in 2017, to FF7R and it’s shocking at how bad the graphics are compared to a game released 3 years ago.
Ultimately though we’re watching a game whose development started in 2015, stopped in 2016 and then thrown together as quickly as possible in the last 18 months.
This is just modern graphics engines. It all depends on what you mean. The remake absolutely was realistic in its lighting and shadow engine. Cloud's eyes even adjust if you move between outdoors and indoors. But yeah, as an anime art style they had to take liberties on proportions of character models. But still, the goddamn cloth textures, the hair movements, every fukken brick and puddle. It's a realistic game for sure. You see the imperfections and damage all over their weapons? That's detail that most games fail to even consider.
imagine being that guy not knowing he was the director,
i saw it as the team not really caring about hierarchy,
they trust one another.
I was really afraid of another "remaster" disaster, I didnt know the original team worked on this.
Knowing this now, once quarantine is over and i can go back to work i think ill pick it up (because i dont have consoles anymore)
So excited. Just finished the demo, and it was amazing.
It's astonishing the best game of the decade's director didn't know he was the director. Nomura being Nomura
No mention of the Cyber Connect 2 version being cancelled, and the Square Enix version replacing it.
Wonderful video! As a 29-year old man, a lot of this was common knowledge. But the technical stuff, such as costume design vs. pixels, was completely new to me. Great job as always!

An ad for this game popped up right before the video and gave me a taste of the most addicting orchestral track I’ve heard in a long time.. is anyone genius enough to know the song? It was incredible.
3 hours until we get to play the game lads. Im gonna go take a nap to conserve all my energy into playing it.
respect. i just got 100 bucks worth of snacks for tonight. Lets go!!!!
Have fun can’t freaking wait!
Damn I'm too busy with P5R right now
8 hrs for me 😔... ohh well I'm taking a nap as well itll fly by
I have woken up and am about to start playing. I can barely contain my excitement!! I'll try not to cry at the title screen with the triumphant music again like I did when i played the Demo. Have fun everyone!!
Edit: Nope i still cried lol but not as much as last time.
I'm not a huge fan of FF but I admire this franchise so much. I wish I was introduced to it in the 90's or early 2000's (only played Dissidia on the PSP and loved it) ... I am so happy for everyone for getting this very long waited remake 🤧👊👏
I also had the chance to play the FFVIIR demo and loved it as well! I'll save some money and try to buy it later this year 😁👌
Watching this after finishing FF7R makes me feel less conflicted by the timestamp of the game. I just missed two quests and the last two summons materia you can get by completing Battle Reports, and I had 43-45 hours of gameplay. I'm an old fan of FF7 so I've spent lots of time grinding, looking at the environment, etc. In the end I was fucking crying because they fixed Cloud's past and blended it so fucking well with Crisis Core (Which was needed) but at the same time, it made me unhappy. I felt that something was missing there. When they say "The same amount of content as XIII", XIII had like, 70 hours of pure hallways simulator, but it was a longer ride. NOT a good one, but yeah.
Anyway, seeing this, understanding more about the development, why they decided to split the games into "parts" instead of an entire game which at first I thought it would be just a strategy of Square to mil more money (and it is), but considering they had to cut 50% of quests, to make the quality of the game to be consistent, yeah. This game is a masterpiece of a Remake.
I'm playing on PS4 and I noticed the system of the game prioritizes some textures over others, and character and models textures over others, for example, some flowers and grasses were extremely low poly, some doors made me feel they were borrowed directly from FF13-3 LR because of the poor quality. However, the ground, the rocks, the character, every ladder, summons, etc. It was all so high quality that I understood right away what the game was doing: It was prioritizing what should look "amazing" and what should look "PS2-Era Polygons" to make the game runs for its entirety at 60fps. On the freaking PS4 Slim. I don't have money to throw on a Pro. And that showed me how much the team cared about this. How much they want to fix what was "weird" at the time (Because yes, the story was and is amazing, but the character development for Cloud was so bad that to this day there are people who don't understand WHY cloud became so depressed on the movie Advent Children) and how much an fps drop into a fucking final battle would make the experience less than ideal for this game.
Not even once I've felt a drop on FPS, of course, we will wait for the comparations eventually, but as far as my naked eye was able to see, the game never had a freaking slow-down nor anything.
Do I want to play again? Hell yeah.
For the first fucking time, this game has a HARD MODE! A FF with HARD MODE! And the game is pretty challenging at normal.
Do I wish there were ways to get more "All" materia, to make the attacks to hit everyone? Yes. But that's fine. It adds to the challenge. Just replay the chapters to get it.
Anyway, I loved this video, because at least I can feel now that even if the ride is shorter than what I expect for a JRPG game (80+ hours), oh man, they did put a lot of work on it, and I'm glad the original team is working on this and that Nomura is the director. I just hope the end of the last entry of these Remakes doesn't finish with a Kingdom Hearts Re: Connect because I will explode if that happens xD
good review, and i agree that had to change some things to make sense like what happens, but all of the story elements are there and happen in roughly the same order. my problem was the materia it just doesn't feel great for some reason, and the guarding/blocking i'm never a fan of that and the fact that hard mode requires it kinda sucks. i do love the weapon growth though.
It runs at 30fps you know. Stable, but 30.
Fun fact another reason they shipped it early in Europe and Australia is because it’s release day was going to be Good Friday which is when a lot of stores that sell games are closed.
This game was legendary, even with it just being Midgar. Trust guys, play the game. Enough said
I am almost finished and it has been breath taking. I love this game! I feel like they finally made a modern 'Final Fantasy' battle system.
@King Greed most who bash it just because of the ending.
And then the very end Shits its fuckin pants and smiles so proudly about it
@King Greed
Most shitting on it HAVE played it, DON'T hate too many changes and are offering genuine criticism. But that last half of the final chapter forces you down and and shits directly into your mouth.
Game of the year
They say they wanted to keep the word remake so that people won`t get confused but they ended up making a "sequel".
To be fair, the word "remake" really represent what this game is
Isn't a sequel supposed to be something that happens AFTER something? This is a retelling of the same time and same stuff, this is a remake.
Nox' Gil it’s easy to see you never saw the leaks.
@@noirlavender6409 A sequel can also happen parallel to the events of another game, I would say it but that would be a spoiler. Also if you have not played the FF7R, then stop and go play it.............................SPOILER................................................as it implies that the events of FF7 have already happened on another timeline, hence the "Time Ghosts" trying to fix the timeline or "destiny". A propper "Remake" would be something like the Resident Evil 1 REmake, while the RE2 remake starts to cross the line into "reimagined" territory.
@@rickydargence5948 the time ghost are stupid
If any of you have ever played Killer Instinct; I think the combat mechanics for FF7 Remake / health bars should be like KI where your “normal attacks” perform a “potential damage” and until you perform an “Ender” or “Heavy Attack” that’s when the actual health diminishes and depletes the potential damage as well. // I say this because I feel that method of gameplay would be more of an evolution to the Turn based / Attack Command gameplay of the original. (Give a visual appreciation of the active combat and not just stand there like the original; but maintain that tactical gameplay of the original)
Enjoyable by new and old players alike. Puts in a twist about the original story. God damn it. How are the new players supposed to appreciate what's happening there? XD
It's really not that confusing. I played it before the original and still largely understood what was going on.
Already finished all the content in FF7 Remake, going for a second playthrough to see if I missed any weapons and unique materia. Took me less than 30 hours to finish all the story content, including all side quests, can't wait for episode 2.
Less than 30 hours...thats awfully short for what people assumed
Thats a short game for a decade development
Well the game stops as soon as you leave the city, there is no Gold Saucer or Cosmo Canyon, it will all most likely be released later.

Final Fantasy 7: Reunion would have been clever
If I saw that title I would assume that it's a sequel.
@@kanade_alter It is a sequal though if you know the ending.
I wouldn’t have minded if they called it a reboot
Different, but a pretty damn good reboot
@@kanade_alter It is a sequel. Sephiroth is a time traveler and the arbiters of fate are trying to stop him from altering the timeline from the original game (which he does anyway, because he tricks Cloud into killing the arbiters near the end of the game). Reunion would have been a more honest name for what this game is.
I just started to get into final fantasy and seeing this is really uplifting. There's so much work put into the series so I know these games are going to be good. The dude with the big sword (cloud??) looks very cool and although I just played the first game, I'm more into more modern versions of games so I want to start with this remake and then go from there. This video is getting me super excited.
The music is so fantastic. I'm glad they got two of the original musicians in on it. Honestly though, so long as the next parts are as good as the first, then this will be my favorite game "series" ever. The characters were so likeable. The setting so fleshed out. It felt more like a living world than any other game I've played in a long time. I mean, GTA V may have looked spot on, I even live near many of the locations that were used as reference for the game. But the citizens of GTA V simply don't really do much. Nothing tells you how they live besides the location they are in. Meanwhile, as outlandish and wild as some of the FF7 Remake NPCs can be, they all have personality, motives, and lives. It just feels so fleshed out.
So like the original game itself, the remake spans multiple discs. It's honoring tradition in so many ways that I can't help but laugh when I heard that. As for Nobuo and Masashi's return, I could tell there was something familiar with the score. I can't wait see to see how this game looks.
I decided to animate that famous scene (you know which one ;) to what I think they'll do in the remake. I think I nailed it.
This game is so amazing.
The characters, story, and environments.
I do not regret getting this game for Christmas, it’s so good.

That 3:20 dialogue seems straight out from a Trueblade Seeker video haha
Just calling FF VII Remake and not add a subtitle was the most wrong decision. From a rational point of view the chose title implies you buy a completely remade FF VII story and not only a part of it.
This game is worth it to play. Definitely fantastic.

honestly he is right. the game did benfit a lot from the changes that were made. that being said i am still very on the fence on some elements of the game. but i do think the remake did improve upon the orginal. for me the best way to describe it is ff7 the orginal is like reading the comic book of one of the avengers movies. the remake is like watching one of the live action avenger movies.
hearing what im hearing here after hearing that Remake is "padded out" between story segments from *certain people* on the internet, it all makes sense now given that the team went for fleshing out Midgar, so now im looking more forward to playing this game.
wow this makes the game sound really good I hope it lives up to it's reputation
not only does cloud look more and more like david bowie, but when you learn his backstory....he truly is that man who sold the world
I can't wait until they remake Final Fantasy 15. I can't wait to see the new story for it.
It's strange times for video game soundtracks. Whilst playing the game, I'm feeling things I've never felt before as the music moves with what is happening on the screen. When I listen to the soundtrack on it's own, some parts are amazing of course, but it doesn't feel as epic. Keeps me returning to the game! Honey, I'm in love...
10 hours for Midgar? What, was he watching playthroughs that didn't know the run button existed and fought every random encounter that showed up while walking?
He watched an online playthrough
I mean I took 9ish hours my first time, it was my first turn based game so I fought literally everything I came across
It is 10 hours of Midgar, or even less if ya do stuff more quicker.
Took me about 7 first playthrough (about a year and a half ago).
@@jwest5178 took me roughly 4 hours on my last playthrough
It feels like a 10 year game I hope part 2 will be sooner
what the fuck
cloud is not silent
I’m hoping there’s a deluxe edition with each episode/part off FF7. One could include the remaster of Advent Children or single disk HD original FF7. Feeling probably 4 episodes/parts to create the whole experience of FF7. .Hack did it very well over four parts on the PS2.
3 hours 45 minutes here till I get to play. I'm so hyped.
my copy shows up teusday :(
"Fitting the entire story into one game would be impossible"
Yeah ok
I mean.... Even removing side quest and the fluff. The game would still be 25 to 30 hour's (the full game being 200 to 250 gigabytes)the game would have came out in 2035 by the time they we're done. the way its done now they can get feed back on combat and other small details.
4:00
you wanna run that by me again
a Final Fantasy VII Add just Came on!
I’m glad you guys made this episode. I preordered my copy from GameStop and they let me pick up my copy early.😛
me: i want to love every aspect of this game! huge fan of FF7, so happy they're doing this. AC had some really nice updated designs.
sqeenix: hold my chocobo fivehead.
Great communication skills in Square
Talk about being right on time with the goods. Nice going
Did you know? This remake is a sequel of Advent Children and also called Kingdom Hearts VII: Final Remake?
KevinPaul06 pretty much literally
No it’s not at all it’s surprising how even the simple as fuck ending got confused for time travel when it was a thing only Aerith saw confirming her suspicions of a certain someone
@@Darkneonflame13 how is it not time travel. You have black wing sephiroth, visions of the future, specters trying to force things back to normal such as the reno fight, survival of important characters, ect... There is literally no way this isnt time travel. Idk what you are seeing about that ending.
arizun okay do I gotta explain? They literally point out that those in the soldier program can see into the future due to Mako, a black winged sephiroth is a redesign harbouring to the fact that he is like Angeal and Genesis, the whispers of fate are just there to correct things and make sure they stay on course it is just a narrative devise used to make certain sections of the game to not feel as abrupt or sudden as they use to and they are gotten rid of anyways, nothing about this game implies time travel it is all just retcons to make the story a bit less abrupt and longer, fate doesn’t tie into time travel fate is a completely different concept entirely
@@Darkneonflame13 your explanation really isnt that sound anyways I'll continue to believe time travel/ fate and you can continue to believe your whatever. I'm pretty sold on the time travel
Its weird to think that I wanted a remake back in 2005 and now i'm glad they didn't. Because we received an amazing remake for this generation that wont of come to pass and may have flopped so fast.
Okay this project was and is a very big love project, and I'm so happy with it.
Tetsuya Nomura: we should go all out or nothing
Also Tetsuya Nomura: We should go episodic, not everything in one
As someone who reached the end of the game, believe me they went all out on this!
@@Da_Juice The only thing that went all out was Nomura shoving his Kingdom Hearts fan fiction where it doesn't belong. The entire remake is a joke at this point.
They're doing it like how the original was: divided into parts.
Don't go complaining about that.
Now honestly I can't wait to see FF8 and Tactics get their remakes. Still reminds of that it was a shame that ff5+6 weren't remastered for the psp geez.
I’m just gonna wait for complete edition HD on PS5
You guys really did your research. This was a cool one.
