The finished work is amazing! No interfacing on dresses, tops, no bias for armholes etc and look how pretty and finished everything is. How I wish I had known the simplicity of it all. But what did I do 50 years ago? I followed all the instruction on the Simplicity Patterns without thinking. Thank you smart Woman!

Thank you, Thank you!! This is what I’ve been looking for. My daughter is homeschooled and this is one project we will be making. Young ladies these days aren’t taught to sew Home economics has been cut out of schools. Boys need it too but young women don’t have the skills they used too. My daughter is also learning to loom and crochet. Love your channel. Just subscribed

Bless you for sharing this tutorial. I was given an apron like this by a Japanese friend a few years ago. It’s the only one I wear, makes so much sense to have good cover while cooking. I’ve been wanting to make some for friends. Now I can. I didn’t have the confidence to figure it out for myself.

My daughter teaches Kindergarten and also has fibromyalgia. As she is preparing to go back to the classroom yet still facing distancing and simply helping to keep everyone healthy, she is going to need to carry more stuff on her person. I am making her this apron and adding more pockets. She also will be wearing a scarf between her face shield and her body. It will enable her to still teach, not look so scary, and her classroom friends can see and hear how letters and words sound.

Yeah instead of dragging out ironing board I used table top, just for a couple of minutes. Table looked fine, but about a week later we started seeing the finish flake, and it only got worse from there. The wood can take it, but with the newer finishes on floors I wouldn't trust it to be safe.
