I haven't started the duels yet - only 9 minutes in - but I actually built this kind of deck for one of the Yugioh GBA games and learned that myself the hard way mid match, so I immediately knew that would come up as soon as they started talking about it. This should be GOOD

I feel like this set actually perfectly demonstrated both decks. Game 1 - When Cimo draws his non-fusion good stuff cards his deck wins Game 2 - When Cimo draws the cards that actually go with his core strategy he loses Game 3 - When MBT highrolls with Daedalus and DMoC he blows Cimo out
The legendary ocean water deck is my favorite goat deck, it’s so bad but it feels more like an actual strategy rather then the same deck with a couple cards changed around. I’m really glad to see it getting some representation, even if it is Jank representation!
Shhh. Don't let the goat players here that. It's common knowledge in the goat community that switchting a couple of staple cards and giving the decks different names turns them into completely different decks
That has been my impression of a lot of these goat decks, that they're the same deck just taking out 3-6 good cards for whatever the bad strategy is. Even the good decks are more or less the same way.

Chaos/GOAT varients (let's be honest, they are basically the same deck), Empty Jar, Reasoning Gate and Scientist FTK. Reasoning Gate isn't even a top tier deck and could be counted as a Chaos varient and the community pretends that Emtpy Jar and Scientist FTK don't exist because they disprove their claims about GOAT format being balanced. But 4 different decks isn't very much variety. Like every format that isn't tier zero has that much. If it's about variety then Edison and H.A.T are far above GOAT
I Love A Lengendary ocean. But I played a MUCH worse version of this, with Levia Dragon and Giga Gagagigo as a 4 star 2650 ATK monster. Pretty sweet! But no Reasoning Gate, no Fenrir, Aqua spirit, none of the stuff that makes it semi-consistent. But it was fun. :)

And it doesn't feel fair for them in the way it wins because "you don't get to play Yu-Gi-Oh!". But because they never experienced it before being an adult, they pretend that the format is better. They just want to relive a memory of something that didn't exist the way they remember. Because they play in a way they *think* things were, they act high and mighty because they get to... Draw, set, pass. Draw, set, pass. Draw, pass. Draw, activate Pot of Greed. Goat is boring and acting like it has diversity when all decks play the same cards AND a deck clearly stomps everything else makes you not just a prick but also a liar. That isn't to say that modern Yu-Gi-Oh! isn't filled with dumb garbage, it very much is, but lying to yourself and everyone else shows you don't understand the game.

Kind of weird seeing Dark Hex sealed fusion. I remember Zane using its light counterpart in tag force 1 to fuse with cyber dragon to easily go into Cyber Twin Dragon. Would that be a possible deck for history of jack?
That ending made this my favorite episode so far. Also, Jesus Christ D-Moc was such a broken card back then. I do wish that it's errata only made it a hopt instead of the complete neutering that he got.

Glad to see an Umi deck in the series! Also happy to see Aqua Spirit; I used to like using her to get over my friend's (probably way more expensive) monsters with high attack and low defense. By the way, that second game I honestly was worried that MBT was going to mill himself to death.
I've always been a fan of Gatling Dragon and Barrel Dragon. So I'm happy to see this match-up, and I'm very glad with how Gatling Dragon turned out game one.

deadalusgate is always a fun deck. I also saw it ran a lot with terrorking salmon or gigagagagigo both for being a hit of reasoning they dont expect if they call 7 and to allow a 2nd normal summonable monster in the deck under ALO, especially one that can clear jinzo etc which is sometimes an issue
Horus is one of my favorite jank decks in all of yugioh(I once tried to build a shadoll level up deck at the beginning of pendulum era). HOpefully we get to see a horus deck play eventually.
The fact the dark hex sealed wasn't running three copies of poly was so heart breaking, or at the very least fusion gate which would help make different dimension fusion live, as well as making it where you don't have to rely on normal summoning hex sealed to make it stick
Ah damn, I wasn't paying attention and didn't enter my bad Goat deck. You turbo out Master of Oz and Enraged Battle Ox, hit Oz with Wild Nature's Release to make him 7900, and pierce for 9600 overall. Hard counters goats, almost instantly loses to cylinder, hilarious.
I love that DFSF deck, even using Sangwitch to trigger the Sangan activation. I wondered about a version of it with the Earth HSF -- But the only good legal targets are Master of Oz and Last Warrior, which are both great in different ways. Light has no really good targets, just St. Joan and another big bungus.
What is funny is Cimo's deck is VERY similar to a list I played at my First regionals!!! It was HILARIOUS when you blowback their board and then you go into a gatling dragon the hard way and win off of that or dark paladin. I went 3-5 but it was FUN AS HELL to play and make people cry for losing to such a bad deck. This was also when I couldnt afford cards and played with whatever I could get my hands on. Sometimes the enjoyment of that is what matters most, even if its horrible.
My First Local Tournament Deck was a Deadalus Water Deck. I not Sure but i didn't Play Reasoning/Gate but i played Level Limit, Gravity Bind and Tornado Wall to Slow my Opponent Long Enough to Summon Deadlus and Nuke the Field. I have a Side Strat with Amphibious Mk3 who can Attack Directly when UMI was on the Field.

It was HILARIOUS when you blowback their board and then you go into a gatling dragon the hard way and win off of that or dark paladin. I went 3-5 but it was FUN AS HELL to play and make people cry for losing to such a bad deck. This was also when I couldnt afford cards and played with whatever I could get my hands on. Sometimes the enjoyment of that is what matters most, even if its horrible.
My First Local Tournament Deck was a Deadalus Water Deck. I not Sure but i didn't Play Reasoning/Gate but i played Level Limit, Gravity Bind and Tornado Wall to Slow my Opponent Long Enough to Summon Deadlus and Nuke the Field. I have a Side Strat with Amphibious Mk3 who can Attack Directly when UMI was on the Field.
I'm so glad daedalus got off at least once, since the daedalus's are some of my favorite cards from an effect+graphic standpoint.
