Love that story of the"Lil Stinker" Oh my goodness the I remember I first time I raided, I was new to the guild, watch fat boss videos, listen to the vent to hear the fight as it progressed. Never thought I get into the raid but I was ready if it happened. But was shocked when the raid leader said, " We are always waiting on that guy, He's never on time and never leaves a word to you guys." Meaning his best bud down the street. I got the invite," Oldonee is always here, let's give her a chance." Think my heart stopped for a few moments. It was the best time I had, I was not top of the list on DPS, shadow priest, But I only died twice. Which was enough to have me back later, after the one member was removed from the raid group for not showing up on time or at all.
I can't imagine how much time it took to put the re-enactments together. Creating characters, leveling them, forming guilds, etc. Your dedication is amazing. Thank you for all you contribute to the WoW community.

I was "yeah no problem" and that secure my spot as an off tank I raided with those guys till black temple, but then work schedule fuck me real bad, so i lose my spot for sunwell Thats life i think

My guild had an MC run ended when someone hit the Hunter pulling Baron Geddon with a snowball in the hallway back towards the Garr area. This was back when feign death and the like were bugged so he ended up dying. Didn't help that he was the Guild Leader. He cussed us all out on Ventrilo and immediately ended the raid. The guy who threw the snowball was a friend of mine, but as a Rogue (class officer) I refused to rat him out.
Your videos are often what I watch to help relax if I'm having a flare up of my illness, which is almost daily. The chill vibes help a ton, love these videos :)
Nice reenactments :) Ahahahaha, skinny runs :D I remember people doing that. you’d just be going along and some mostly naked dude would come running through the middle of Dalaran. Usually followed by a “ is sobering up” message. Good times, too bad people don’t do stuff like that anymore. Then again, what would be worth celebrating like that? Curve maybe? Idk. Used to be that euphoric celebrations weren’t just for progression raiders and rank 1 arena teams. There was plenty of stuff worth getting worked up about even for the lesser mortals. I hope there’s some of that in BfA.
where is number 5? IVE WATCHED EVERY VIDEO TWICE OF YOURS! my favourite you have a very humble approach to the game and love all of your content but this series is by far the best i keep thinking of my own vanilla memories and play them back in my head and it feels like im having a drink with you reminiscing about the old days. :) thanks friend@@@
Thanks for this series, the nostalgia is so vivid. I personally still love WoW (and videos about current WoW) but there's something special about those first few magical years, something that I'm not sure could ever come back. WoW came out right after I had got to high school and it was just the perfect storm. It was the big new game that so many people I knew were playing and being a high school students means almost no responsibilities and plenty of time to hang around on Ventrilo with your friends and just play WoW all day. Definitely looking forward to classic servers, but I'm not sure it's possible to ever regain all the magic from vanilla. Makes me somewhat sad thinking about it, but I'm also happy that I was around to experience it. Certainly a time in my life that I'll never forget! Thanks for bringing a taste of it back with your excellent channel MadSeason.
I played a priest. My ex played a rogue. She went afk in Org in my party. Back then priests could MC ppl in your party. So I chain mind controlled her all the way out of Org into Durotar all the way to the ocean where I left her. She wasn't happy to see her dead floating corpse when she returned lol
I was a Paladin with a very similar story - was Ret until forced to heal in my first raid. Man, I love talking about Classic Pallys - love this vid so much!
Man I love your videos! Started playing WoW 4 about a week ago, and doing dungeons while listening to your videos might just be my new favorite thing to do!
This is my new favorite game channel, not just warcraft. Man you bring me back to a time and place that's just fucking amazing. indescribable. Your music choice for videos, the soft guitar and folk music. It not only brings me back to my days playing back in the old days, it brings me back home somehow. Like I'm remembering my family back on the farm after a 13 year journey through azeroth lol
Thanks so much for these. It's really nice to listen to you reminisce. It's like talking with an old friend. You have a great voice for it, too, and a relaxing demeanor. I hope to see more soon, whatever the content may be.
Love your videos dude! The re-release of Vanilla is really pulling my nostalgia strings, and making me remember all the things from back in the day when the game was new to all of us. :) Its weird that a game can have such profound effects on people, and the locations and memories almost seem like they are "real". I've been pretty casual for many years now, but I cant wait to play Classic, and your videos capture what a lot of us were doing and thinking back in the early days. Kudos, my friend!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, though my experience with higher end dungeons and raids were cut short as TBC came out right as I hit 60. Excited about playing classic to have a 2nd chance at getting to experience it all! I had an undead warlock. Looked around my computer table and saw a bag of jerky, and premium on it...Premiumjerky was born! Later called PJ for ease.
Amazing video, so many memories man... remember the patch when the tiers got their new looks? Everyone wanted nemesis and bloodfang helmets..and how to forget rokh delar bow!!
I remember hearing "wow hes full purple" from casuals back in the day and it made me feel proud. Now 11 years later I'm farming lengendaries like they were common currency. Somewhere blizzard made a terrible mistake.
Damn man, I've just found your channel few days ago, one of your series just spawned on my screen so I decided to give it a look... I have never seen a better Classic WoW videos, you're a genius of creating and sharing videos. It's in your blood I bet, congratulations and keep up with the good work! :)
Awesome videos you put out dude, really enjoying this series, vanilla wow must have been a truely great experience to have witnessed, tnx for taking us on this trip down memorie lane
At some point the snowballs even threw the target back instead of just knocking over. I remember waiting inside towers at Alterac Valley for horde to appear at the door, so I could chuck a snowball at them and they would fly out to their deaths. Or maybe those we're BG specific snowballs? I don't remember, but they sure were fun!
Hey MadSeason, first of all, your videos are great and I´m glad I found you, you tell me many things I was unaware of, since I just started playing WoW for the first time like 3-4 weeks ago. I do enjoy the game, but there are a few things that really annoy me (important to mention I play on the European servers) The first thing that buggers me is the fact, that I rarely met any people while questing. (I´m only lvl 65 yet but anyway). There are like 5 people on a whole map and thats kinda crazy. Even if you may encounter somebody, the chances are very low that you talk or quest with them. Communication at all is mostly not existing. It´s like playing a singleplayer game in a big world, even though its an mmorpg. So, when I got frustrated and wanted some people to be able to talk or quest with them, I tried to find a guild I could join (I was level 65 at that moment). I went to Orgrimmar and said in the chat that I was looking for a guild, but also that I´m still a beginner. At that point I was pretty excited, but well nobody at all answered, but I continued asking. I spent several hours but still nobody even answered. Now I´m feeling even more lonely in this huge world... Anyway, maybe you or somebody else got an advice for me.
You could try playing on the classic servers when they release. The community aspect will be way different there, much more social. You won't feel like you're playing single player any longer then.
Sorry, did not read all of the comments, so if it has been mentioned ... One of the things I remember as a hunter, was the kiting the boss out of the room. Just fabulous.
I love your videos. They remind me of my very first raiding guild. I leveled up to 70 and was like... oh snap that guy has a cool thing! I want that cool thing! My irl friend told me what to do and then Wrath came out very shortly after. I was a druid, and the game design back then was so coarse. So many little things to explore. My first kill was Flame Leviathan on 25. I still haven't given up.
It feels so nostalgic looking at your pre raid pally... I still have my level 55 dwarf in either the same or similar blue helmet XD (switched to dk when i dinged 55 and forever will keep my pally there as a time capsule of when i started playing wow)
I love going back to these videos....Miss this old content. Love the new stuff as well, but don't think everything has to be a grandios production to be relevant. Love ya fella.
Awesome laugh, I love watching these vids, I only started WoW in cata, but seeing these gets me excited for the release of WoW Classic (whenever that'll be)
The Vanilla guild I remember most fondly is AMUS on the low pop server Gul'dan. We were a PvP guild but eventually after the honor system was changed we'd try ZG from time to time, and once downed the first boss of AQ20. But it was still all about the BGs, which we were pretty good at. Did raiding in BC and Cata with other guilds, which was great, but those PvP groups were probably the most fun I had playing WoW
I can't believe it. This video is double-nostalgic! I mean, Final Fantasy X was the game I played the most back then alongside with WoW...and now you're using its music in your videos You're videos are always so incredibly relaxing, especially with your voice... Love it! (I'm german, you gotta excuse major/minor grammar mistakes and so on^^) Edit: We got the same diabolic laugh.
I remember my first real guild (i had joined one other for one or two days). My first guild was Wardens of Nature, and I loved the fact that there were so many good people to play and joke around with every time I logged on. I was so heart broken when the guild fell apart and we all went different ways. I found other guilds that I enjoyed over time, but none ever measured up to that first one. These days it's hard to find a guild that is more than just a bunch of people with a guild name who never communicate or do anything with each other. :(
First raid. Naxx 25, guild needed a warm body. I knew nothing of raiding, nothing of my class (Deathknight) but hey raid! Got a pair of epic boots, which made some people upset. Afterwards the RL whispered me and said "You need to respec and change gear" and he a good amount of time after fixing my spec and gear. I read up on the fights and by my next raid was ready to go. Early WoW memories are the best. Love this series. EDIT: In Heart of Fear I had a toy that put a banana peel down and would make people fall if run over (Of course) RL started counting down, I threw it in front of him he went to run in and NOPE! I didn't get a lot of gear that night. Worth it.
I need to say that the video is awesome ... but omg that laugh made the entire video ! hahahaha. Love this series Mad ! keep it up the good work and fill us whit more nostalgia !
My first time in MC, I went in as a feral druid, and was asked to heal. I was basically worthless, and would OOM about 40 seconds into the fights. Things were a bit...chaotic back then. But, since it was 40 man, you really only needed about 20 good players, and the rest could be subpar and still get carried. Fun times!
Here's #4....sorry about the delay! Edit: The "Taleisin" in this video isn't referring to the UA-camr - just an old guildie(Taliesin was a poet so it's a common name I think)

You could try playing on the classic servers when they release. The community aspect will be way different there, much more social. You won't feel like you're playing single player any longer then.
I feel like listening to grandpa, telling me his old stories from back when he was young. So calming :)
I love how a noteable part of the gameplay loop comes back to flexin' in the city! Lol
Yep - I subbed, liked, and remember eating the snowball. Good job Show.
That would have been infuriating at the time, but hopefully you looked back on it and laughed when you watched this
I just found this series and love them!! The holy damage paladin kills me!!
Love the Final Fantasy X music you use in these videos. One of my favourite games mainly due to the music!
It feels so nostalgic looking at your pre raid pally... I still have my level 55 dwarf in either the same or similar blue helmet XD (switched to dk when i dinged 55 and forever will keep my pally there as a time capsule of when i started playing wow)
Watching this is the most comfy I've been in a while.
OMG, the snowballs were so freaking awesome. I did the exact same thing with them. I was totally bummed when they removed that knockdown effect.
These videos really remind me of my own vanilla times, these are delightful and nostalgic (bonus points for laughing)
Absolutely love this series
I love going back to these videos....Miss this old content. Love the new stuff as well, but don't think everything has to be a grandios production to be relevant. Love ya fella.
Please continue this, major nostalgia from this series
Haha! Love the snowball story, reminds me of my old guild using the stun wand toy in WoD while we're doing world PVP on our guild officers
Oh boy, another episode of MadSeasonBall Z
And this.....IS...TO GO EVEN FURTHER BEYOND! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-
Awesome laugh, I love watching these vids, I only started WoW in cata, but seeing these gets me excited for the release of WoW Classic (whenever that'll be)
The Vanilla guild I remember most fondly is AMUS on the low pop server Gul'dan.
Ever since i found this channel, I canceled my cable/netflix and crave. Content for days MadSeason!
Seeing the old dwarf model reminds me of my dwarf hunter back in vanilla. Those were good days.
Anyone else get super excited when they see a notification for a new Madseason video?
I have a terminal case of nostalgia. Can’t wait for classic.
I can't believe it.
This video is double-nostalgic!
I mean, Final Fantasy X was the game I played the most back then alongside with WoW...and now you're using its music in your videos
You're videos are always so incredibly relaxing, especially with your voice...
Love it!
(I'm german, you gotta excuse major/minor grammar mistakes and so on^^)
Edit: We got the same diabolic laugh.
Your English seems fine to me! Glad you enjoyed the video =)
Love the final fantasy soundtrack in the background! +1 and the video also
He laughed 😮
Hearing your laugh was quite shocking, but also really endearing keep up the great content
Busted out laughing at the snowball hijinks. Love your stuff, man.
Thank you MadSeason for releasing this! I love this series keep up the good work.
Love this series. Can’t wait for more episodes
just now saw the guild message. That was nice of you
This is my favorite WoW channel
Gotta say love the background musics you have been picking man !
It's great to see you grow as a channel MadSeason.
I appreciate it Lucas!
That snowball thing had me in tears 😂😂😂
MadSeasonTroll
My first purple was the Core Forged Greaves from Majordomo's box. My guild invite gift was the Pauldrons of Might, i remember it so well!
Hah...nice shot at Taliesen
Kyle0073able Yea haha. That was cool :D
Wasn't referring to the UA-camr if that's who you're talking about - I had an old guildie with the same name =)
MadSeason laughing, now that's a rare thing to hear.
Worth it.
You voice tells us "Yeah, Im a pretty chill man" I like it
Loving this wow memories series!
FinalFantasy 10 music and wow at the same time!.. to many feels and nostalgia.
The spirit of Nobuo Uematsu shines within you.
I love your videos, truly a treat to see
11:15 you can hear the smile after the laugh. love your vids man.
This series is just too good!
Best way to start a day --cup of coffee and a Look back with the Madman =) ty~
LOL the snowballs... I also got in trouble for doing that. Hilarious.
I remember that jump down heel up to the molten core.. and I didn't start playing until the beginning a cataclysm and it's still was working
I need to say that the video is awesome ... but omg that laugh made the entire video ! hahahaha. Love this series Mad ! keep it up the good work and fill us whit more nostalgia !
That's the kind of laid back raid guild I'd want to be in. Reminds me of what I was in back in burning crusade.
really love this series!
The snowball stuff....fantastic.
Fun times!
Oh jesus, that screenshot of the guild in Iron forge is The Stormlords from the feenix private server, Emerald Dream. Oh the memories..
