Itd be hard to represent all that in a persona thats just like the others' humanoid monster recreations of historical/fictional characters. Its kinda normal for her persona to be so different because its completely different than the others' personas in function , too : futaba doesnt fight, she's entirely a support that helps from the sidelines. But also, i dont understand why you singled out haru and makoto when futaba's necronomicon is different from ALL the other persona users , including akechi yusuke if were only talking about the members of the phantom thieves that joined after the main 4. Not a futaba simp btw, just feels like your comment's kinda odd.

Probably the best way to describe them. They're literally the normal alter egos of the fictional characters they masquerade as and as it turns out being the best you (no mask) is why the tier 3s are elegant and/or gaudy.
@@Perdix64 I think the theme was make a modern interpretation of these old legends, hence design choices such as William riding on a yacht or Hereward being colored to fit the more popular interpretation of a superhero.
these are, by far, my favorites main personas. just look at them, they suit the main characters in design AND even lore. they look colorful, and they really express the rebellion of the hearts of the main characters. the personas in other games were great too, but i really love these. they are the best imo.
My favorites have to be Hereward and Ella. Hereward looks absolutely badass and Ella is just downright gorgeous in my opinion. The others in terms of design are hit-or-miss for me, but I can still appreciate the significance of the Personas evolving to the “true selves” of their initial states.
In short Tier 1: famous rogue/rebel/ thief Tier2: Mythological rogue/rebel/Thief Tier 3: Origin/alternate identity/true form of Tier 1 namesake (ex: Arsene the thief, who the persona is based on, used Raoul as a false identity in his stories, and actually considered it his middle name)

Hereward looks so badass. I really wish we got to use him earlier in the third semester. Edit: Oh and the most gorgeous looking of the Personas has to be Ella. Like Hereward, I really wish her evolution from Vanadis wasn’t restricted to 2/2 and could be unlocked like the other Phantom Thieves.
I like Hereward because it's a perfect fusion of both personas meaning Akechi finally accepts himself and the two worlds he was torn between. The part of the story the fusion takes place is where Akechi has a defined purpose in life, not driven by exuberant goals or putting up a front, just being himself and being allowed to be himself.

It's so clever the way they design and choose personas for the characters, it's like a whole side of their personality and makes you think about them in ways you wouldn't otherwise
My only issue is with description of Agnes and Johanna, because their existence was debunked so many times that they were mythical/legendary in 1700 already... So yeah, besides that, i love em all so much. Plus even Johanna is a fucking Motorbike and i love that

Yes it is. Its personal rebellion. Finding ones true deserved happiness. Cendrillon is effectively an indentured servant in the original stories having to wait on her "sisters" hand and foot. Cendrillion is a Persona within a Persona. The version of her that sneaks off to the ball against the orders of her family (rebellion). Ella is the version that obtains true happiness.
If that’s true then who is the Love interest of joker in the og timeline is it Ann like how rise and yukari are treated as the main love interest of the original timeline and golden is where Marie is the love interest of yu and in fes Liz is the love interest as they added dates in fes so who is ren dating in the original I wanna say makoto

Kinda sucks that joker's tier 3 persona is basically a pay wall. It would have been cool to have extra content, like a little event for your growth, or a awakening, but eh. I can only dream.
I think it has to do how they "lost themselves" in Maruki's reality but now they see how life really is and how a fantasy (although can make you feel happy) is only that, a fantasy. It gets a more similar look to their original persona to denote how they got lost but are back on track and how their heart has grown and how much the cast matures. Also, there IS a song in the OST called "No More What Ifs".
That is a great question, my friend. To be honest, visually, the designs of the third forms were a big disappointment. The ideas and concepts behind them are cool. They are like the "true" self of the original one. But the designs are just some hipster/contemporary-looking version of the original ones that are trying really hard to be quirky and/or appealing in some way, but that only end up killing the immersion and the vibe that the original designs gave. And let's face it. Some of them are a bit cringey.
