When I try to write Spencerian an oblique pen, the ink either blobs on the paper or doesn’t ever leave the nib. When I try to make the ascender loops in ‘h’, ‘b’, ‘f’ etc. The nib skips across the paper no matter how little pressure I use. Do you have any tips? I’m using Rhoda paper and a Nikko G nib. My ink is Sennelier

Nope the table is completely flat. I'll try and take a video of my nib angle, but it's not very high.

It's a great nib but I don't think it's worth $40. I bought mine way before it got popular and considering how quickly nibs rust, $40 is exorbitant.
