I was just about to say same thing.its so lovely to see parents who aren't parading their kids all over the Internet.Such a lovely couple and the house is beautiful!! Wishing you many happy years in your new home!❤
Love to see a fellow USA citizen taking the plunge. My wife and I purchased a flat in Edinburgh during Covid, and yes, it took some getting used to the processes and procedures before the closing. Unfortunately, we must wait til retirement before we can appreciate Scotland on a full-time basis. For now, we have to be satisfied with quarterly trips. Much luck and Slainte Mhath!
I hear a wisp of Scottish in his pronunciation but otherwise he must have either changed his accent in those years in California or was raised by Americans or Canadians in Scotland. I imagine her love of living in Scotland has her changing her pronunciations.
I love to hear your Scottish accent is coming back so quickly Zach. I Hope you both have a wonderful time settling in to your new home in Scotland with your family.
I was always amazed at the size of everything when i moved to Canada from the UK 30 years ago. Houses/Kitchens and such were just monstrous in size. Life in North America is not that great to be honest, even though I have been very successful in life living in Canada. I just miss the closeness of small town UK, where you know everyone and see everyone at the local pub. Walking in the countryside with the dog, quick trips to the beach and such. Canada is such a vast place, with nothing to do. I am in Houston for work for 3 weeks and it is boring as heck. Hoping one day to move back to a more simple life of walking to the pub for lunch and rolling my groceries back home in my shopping trolley!!!! Enjoy yourselves over there, looks like a wonderful house and place to live a quiet life with less stress.
Thank you so much! It has been a change of pace, and we are forever thankful for that! I hope you make it back home one day if that’s what you still hope for. Wishing you well ❤
I lived in Chicoutimi Quebec for 32 years, my husband and I moved back to Ireland 3 and a half years ago. The best thing we ever did. There is no comparison to the quality of life over here.
My maternal Scots grandparents live in Canada 3rd generation. The country is enormous. People actually travel the equivalent of London to Birmingham everyday to go work. It’s normal for them. The houses are very big also, usually made from wood and stone. In the suburbs, front and back gardens are large. I also have relatives in Australia and New Zealand, so I visit there also. The commonwealth is one big family. Australia is very hot in summer . Canada is very cold in winter both have a British temperament and lifestyle .
I appreciate your comments re Scotland, my wife’s Mom is from there and we love it there! Canada is a huge country and while you have not named where you live in Canada, the idea of boring is of course subjective. We live on the East Coast and have ready access to our Downtown (very walkable) with all kinds of restaurants and pubs to visit, theatre and other cultural activities. We have five universities in the local area so the community is quite diverse and better for it. Recreation means swimming / Paddle Boarding / Kayaking any time we want and literally 10minutes from the house. Of course, spending time on the water (Sailing / Motor Boats) are crazy popular as well. Gravel Riding / MTB re cycling is quite popular and multiple routes are readily available. I also ride Off Road Moto re Hare-scrambles / Enduro so if that is your cup of tea, there is a wonderful community here to pursue that realm of sport. Of course camping and hiking are readily available and quite popular as well. Winter means skating on the lakes and ponds and Alpine Skiing as well. The great outdoors may not be your cup of tea but give yourself another chance and get out there and live.
I just returned from a Scotland vacation, from Glasgow to Aberdeen to Edinburgh and fell in love with the rural countryside and small towns. Best wishes in your new home.
Your home looks like it will be a cozy, and warm space to raise your family! I love the sage green you have chosen for the wainscoting and wood trim, stair railings, etc...! The chevron terracotta tile is very pretty too! Every home with more than one person really needs a second toilet, and you will never regret making that decision. Congratulations on your new home!
Thank you! It’s been such a treat getting to pick out finishes that might be too bold for the majority knowing we will likely live here for a good chunk of our lives. Wishing you well! Thank you for tuning in!
Such a beautiful house. You have excellent taste in decor. Wishing you both health, wealth and happiness in your new home..... and the old Scottish saying, "Lang may yer lum reek" 🙂😊
I have Victorian style porcelain sinks that are large and deep in all my bathrooms, toilets and the kitchen. Over time with built on the back to create another room and a large bathroom, discovered a cellar many years ago that we made rooms in, the opened up the loft area also with roof windows. With more children we created more rooms. We have right children altogether. All,grown adults now. But the youngest and his wife, and their two children now live with us and our eldest son who has special needs. It just works well. Always there are children in our home. Children make a home, a home. 😀👍👍💗💗

Much like you we just feel that Scotland offers one of the few peaceful and most beautiful places on earth to raise a young family . Keep your American accent be proud your American. Don't ever lose your accent it's pretty. Your house is lovely and your doing a AWESOME/BRILLIANT job remodeling.

Love everything you’ve done, the colours are gorgeous and make for a relaxing space. Well done!!! (the plaid wallpaper and yellow stairs were iconic though 💛)
Found you this evening on UA-cam and you have distracted me from watching the Italy vs Croatia football on the BBC because these videos are brilliant, such a fun, happy and smiley couple, I have subscribed and am looking forward to seeing so much more of your life journey. Hope that you travel around the UK when time allows and you get to Wales at some point so you can share as much of our 4 countries in Great Britain with all your viewers around the world. Good luck and thank you for making this journey shareable. 😊😊
We lived in the same exact size with our two kids for several years! (California, of course) What I love about your place is it seems like they made good use of the space. I remember always wishing we just had a little entryway like that & some kind of separate nook for the table, instead of having to share it with the living space. We also had one bathroom, and under the stairs there was a closet. We toyed with the idea of what it would take to put a bathroom under there but alas, never did. It definitely got chaotic sometimes so I think you're definitely going to be very glad about that choice! 😉
Thanks for taking the time to share! Yes, we’re definitely happy with our decision to add the loo. The layout works well for our family, and the storage was equally surprising!
I think that colour looks pink because of the reflection from the kitchen. It would be nice and more like the way it looks above the green piece of furniture.
Just found your channel and really enjoyed it, wishing you a happy life with your family and as grandparents ourselves we know how great it is for children to have theirs nearby and for sleepovers at grans house ! We are from Glasgow but left in 1966 when we got married to live in SA for a few years, then moved to Nth Yorkshire with my husbands job. I would love to move back but my husband loves it here, our daughter lives in Scotland but our son lives near us. I love the way you've colour painted all the woodwork, as we tend to paint it all white, but what a refreshing change, so very tempted to colour it now as we plan to decorate soon. Your house looks great and so refreshing to hear young people being content and not getting into debt for a big flashy house, which seems to be the way now with the majority of couples. Will follow you with interest, as keen gardeners I'd like to see yours and hear your plans for it. Love n blessing, Wee Scots Nanax
Thanks for watching and following along! We appreciate the kind words. We’ll definitely do a garden tour at some point. Not much to look at currently, but we hope to transform it with time ❤️
Glad your channel came up as a recommendation. Your engagement with each other is great to watch. Look forward to seeing future chapter's in your Family journey.
Love your house. So nice to see one with character sympathetically renovated. It looks like it is going to be a really comfortable and happy home for you all.
Looks amazing! I live in Portugal but I am half english so I've been in the UK many times and it´s amazing to experience your journey in Scotland. I'm 22 and hopefully someday I can move to the UK! Lots of Love!
Ive only just found your channel, 2nd video ive watched, and realised Zach was born in Scotland. You can already hear his accent jumping back and forth 😀
Welcome to Scotland! We are in Kinross-shire and know you will love living here. Your new home looks great and you will have so much fun making it your own!
By banquet seating, do you mean booth seating. Because that would be perfect, you could do a C shaped booth, with the one side a little longer and put chairs opposite in case grand parents come for dinner. Also you can build storage into the bench seats (slide out drawers for the 2 sides (a long sliding ine for the long side) and maybe a lift seat for the back of the C to put big pots, pans, or appliances in it). Also don't forget about hanging storage, like a rack for hanging everyday pots and pans, or even hooks on the wall for them. You could also possibly find a place for overhead shelves to store stuff on.
Great minds think alike! We did the bench seating with the built in storage, and it’s wonderful! It’s in the We’re Back video :) We have an updated home tour coming in a few weeks as well.
I love your optimism with everything, it's so refreshing ❤ I enjoy looking at properties online, and I love watching the American TV show My lottery dream home...one day ❤
Great show! Glad you’re enjoying. Sometimes, with our previous jobs, we saw a lot of sadness and unfortunate things, so we try to keep our perspectives with just how much we have in our lives. There’s so much to be grateful for, so we try to stay positive. Thank you for taking the time to comment ❤️
Living in Liverpool, it's not to far to drive, seeing as my son got himself posted to RAF Lossiemouth it's a real treat driving through Scotland, it truly is an amazing place, might take the plunge ourselves as not too far from retirement, enjoy your lovely new home.
Loving your videos , please keep us updated when you have time , thank-you for sharing with us , wishing you all the best best in your new home and life in Bonnie Scotland 🏴, take care x
Hi again, sorry, I'm binge watching not stalking. I've just found your videos so engaging, heartwarming and funny! Congrats on your new home and warmest wishes that you all settle in well.
So glad to have come across your channel! Thank you for sharing, loving what you have done to your home so far. We are also (a family of 5 and) weeks away from moving to Scotland from the South West in the UK, we cannot wait as it has been a year in the making coming backwards and forwards! We are so ready for it to be permanent 🎉 Good luck in your Scottish adventures and look forward to joining along on your journey via UA-cam x
@@SimpleScottishLiving 👋🏻 We're moving to Aberdeenshire and have been slowly but surely renovating our house in the hopes of living as off grid as we can eventually, plans to grow our own as much as possible and live the simple life with our girls in the beautiful scenery. Lovely to hear from you x
Just watched your video, the house is beautiful, love the flooring in the bathroom and toilet. The lights are beautiful. I notice your door opens up to stairs, in fend-shui,to stop your money flowing out the door, put a wind chime ( I have a glass Angel) so that it drops down and separates the door and stair( I did this as we were always skint) worked a treat. Also put a couple of plant pots either side of ur front door with flowers in -even in winter ( winter flowering pansies) helps ur money to grow. But looking forward to the updates on your home. 😍
I just found your channel and thoroughly enjoyed this video! I have been to Scotland once and enjoyed that beautiful country. Thanks for bringing “us” along this journey!
Himguys! I just found you and subscribed! Your house is as cute as can be, and I just love it! I’m like you, Annie. I look at homes all over the UK, but love Scotland and Wales best. I lived in California but now live in Maine. I really like your personalities and watching your video. Anxious to see all you do to it. All the best!😊
Thanks so much! House hunting is the best. To be honest, I still look for fun 🤣 What part of Maine? We’ll be headed there next summer. Wishing you well!
@@SimpleScottishLiving i live in a tiny town called Benton, in Kennebec County, away from the maddening crowd! Lol! Summers in Maine are filled to capacity with tourists from everywhere! They congregate in the southern portion in and around the Portland area, and southern beaches. But, as nice as that is, there’s so much more to Maine. It’s actually very European in feel. Thats what I love about it. Where in Scotland did you find your home? And if I dare ask, was it really expensive? They have just announced that the nationwide price here is now $451,000! Yikes! My poor grandson can’t buy a house and he’s an electrician!
We live just south of Edinburgh. Our house was definitely far below that number thank goodness. I don’t know how people can afford to get on the property ladder anymore! We were priced out of the market for a long while as well but finally got our foot in the door at the start of COVID through sheer luck and our wonderful real estate agent.
Found your videos a few days ago. We are really enjoying following you. We moved to North East Scotland from the south of England last year. Love seeing the places you visit and your home updates and decor. x
Really enjoying these vlogs! Your new house is gorgeous. And the renovations so far perfectly fit the cottage style ambiance you want to create. So happy for you all. And big props to Mum and Dad for all their help in researching and maintaining the house once you’d purchased. That must have been the most enormous help 😊
Wow! You have been so busy! The house really is looking good. So love your colour and design choices and you certainly have an eye for finding some great pieces.
Thank you! We’ve been searching high and low for the right pieces as we know we’ll be here a long time. It has been a busy month, and we’re so looking forward to finally getting settled in.
I did a bit of chuckling because I also look at homes everywhere. My husband doesn’t understand the obsession. I am so happy for you two to have ,over to Scotland, it is a dream of mine. Both my maternal & paternal grandparents were from Scotland. My husband & I have. I sited 3x in the last 10 yrs, I fell in love the first time but he doesn’t want to move back to cold weather. Ok, back you. I love your color pallet and I think the house is just as cute as can be. Very smart to put the WC under the stair, that will make such a difference. Also love the bathroom tile. Love the pendant lamps. I hope you do more videos. Without giving exact location I would love to know which area you chose. Thank you for sharing
What a very likeable pair. I enjoyed this after it was rather randomly recommended to me because you are so pleasant. Over my dead body would I leave sunny Cali for anywhere in the UK, tho!
A large cutting board for over the sink, that when using the sink can easily just set on the open counter and the original prep space isn’t lost! Love this tour! It’s beadboard in the US.
I’m glad I found your channel and look forward to seeing you make it your home. I’m in East Tennessee. Our nephew just got back home to Tennessee from a two week vacation in Scotland! 😊
Congratulations 🎉 wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous life in your beautiful new home 🏡 im sure you'll be settled in no time. Loving the colour scheme and those light's are gorgeous ❤
Welcome (back) to Scotland! Your house is lovely. I am loving your videos and find it very interesting the differences between USA and the UK, I think we always tend to feel life is better over in the states than here so this is really interesting. I would love to know what you both do for a living also and was it easy to find a job over here? You are a lovely couple.
Thank you for the kind words! We probably won’t share Zach’s job for the time being until we see how the channel grows, but Annie is keeping her US contracting job for now working with children in education/healthcare. We are so grateful to be here and to have the opportunity to raise a family in this area ❤️ Thanks for watching!
The tile is called „ Zellige.“ Pronounced with the uh end sound, it’s close to how you spelled it. That house brought me back to the great German house we had with 29 keys like that, the same kind of lever door handles, and a w/C next to the stairs needing a redo. We also went on fb marketplace to get lighting as the neighbor had taken the newer ones 😂 Yes they do that there. We found a mirror at the thrift store and our bathroom by the front door was quite similar to yours. ❤ Fun reminiscing. You’ll be very happy there; the houses layout is wonderful.
Welcome to Scotland guys, nice cottage, definitely made the right choice with the extra toilet & sink, interested to know what you’ll do for work over here 😊
I like the colour of your woodwork. Nice that you blended it through the house. The sink you had when you first moved in was like the one we had. My wife wanted a Belfast sink which meant a full new kitchen. She hated the small round bowl too, same as you. Since I am a carpenter it wasnt as expensive as it could have been if we paid retail and paid for labour. Your house is really nice. Hope you both like living here in Scotland and its all you hope for you and your family too.
Great videos guys, welcome back and welcome to Scotland! I just noticed while watching this video the giant hogweed behind you guys, its probably worth while doing some research on these and why they are so dangerous for either you or the kids incase you touch one by accident and what to do. All the best in your journey and welcome home to you all.
Welcome to the UK. I hope it isn't too stressful familiarising yourself with all our idiosyncrasies, peculiarities and general downsizing and slower pace of life.
Thank you for showing us round your new house. I hope you get used to the smaller size compared to your Californian house. Once it's completed and you move in, it will feel so cozy. Looking forward to your next video. I see your subscriber numbers have increased already. Hope they continue to rise. xx
Thank you so much! Yes, we’re enjoying the cozy feel even though we aren’t moved in just yet. We can picture the final product though and can’t wait for a festive Christmas! We are shocked by the increase in subscribers!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! We are loving making it our own and cannot wait to get all of our belongings in. There’s something so cathartic about seeing our home come together even if it is a lot of work 😅
When were were house hunting it was at the top of the market. It took over 2 years of viewings and offers to finally get a home. And at that time houses were going massive percentages over the initial offers over price. 30% and upwards in some cases. Super surprised to see electric sockets in the bathroom, never mind above rhe sink. I thought that was illegal. Pretty dangerous. But what a transformation. Classy. Well done.
Thank you! Yes, previously I think an owner did some of their own electric, so our electrician has been sorting things out for the past while. Still some to be done, but we’re getting there!
We actually had a Cape with a basement, it could fit into my living room but IS STILL my favorite home. I balled my eyes out when we sold it. The carpet on the stairs, we did a Hollywood tuck, which is stapled under the ledge of the run to define it.
Respect for keeping the kids and their spaces private.😊

I can’t criticise as after the first time I went to the States for 2 weeks I came back talking like John Wayne
I can’t help it either, I’m very impressionable when it comes to accents 😆

Thank you for joining and for taking the time to comment! It’s been such a fun journey to date, and we can’t wait to settle in ❤️
Beautiful!!! Great job!! ❤❤
Thank you!! 😊
What a lovely family home, love the colours you have chosen!
Thank you! It was such a different experience getting to choose colours knowing we’d be here for a long time.
Love your house. So nice to see one with character sympathetically renovated. It looks like it is going to be a really comfortable and happy home for you all.
Thank you for the kind words! We’re beyond thrilled to raise our family here. ❤️
@@SimpleScottishLiving I'm really looking forward to following your young lives as the weeks go by. All the very best for the future.
Looks amazing! I live in Portugal but I am half english so I've been in the UK many times and it´s amazing to experience your journey in Scotland. I'm 22 and hopefully someday I can move to the UK! Lots of Love!
Thank you! We hope you are able to live out your dream as well. Wishing you well!
Ive only just found your channel, 2nd video ive watched, and realised Zach was born in Scotland. You can already hear his accent jumping back and forth 😀
It’s slowly finding its way back! Thanks for watching ❤️
Working hard to not though 😂 LoL
Fabulous house and wishing you all the best in making it your home!
Thank you ❤️
Welcome to Scotland! We are in Kinross-shire and know you will love living here. Your new home looks great and you will have so much fun making it your own!
Thank you for the warm welcome!
Everything is coming together , great stuff . May you have many happy years together . All the very best 👍
Thank you!!
We loved looking at your new home. Living there will be fun. So glad you are sharing your experiences.
Thank you!
Well it all looks lovely and cosy and I'm sure you will all be happy in Scotland. Xxx
Thank you! 😊 We can’t wait to get settled in.
Your house is beautiful and the work you've done to it so far is really lovely. You're also in the same area as me, so welcome!
Thank you! We’re so happy to be here ❤️
I love your optimism with everything, it's so refreshing ❤ I enjoy looking at properties online, and I love watching the American TV show My lottery dream home...one day ❤
Absolutely stunning job you have done on your new home!
Thank you ❤️ it’s a labor or love, but we couldn’t be more happy seeing our home come together!
Very lovely color palette.
Thank you ❤️
Aww Annie, the way you laugh 😍 God bless you all 💖
Thank you ❤️😊
A lovely area you’ve moved to! I know it well, it’s a really nice place, very good community!
So happy to be here! ❤️
Love your new home, Annie! This is such a fun and exciting adventure. Thanks for letting us follow along! ;)
Thank you!!! It’s been so fun getting to decorate knowing we’ll be in this same house for a long, long time. Hope y’all are staying well ❤️
Lovely cottage a very liveable space. You nailed the colour scheme. A very enjoyable video.
Thank for taking the time to say this! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the process.
Living in Liverpool, it's not to far to drive, seeing as my son got himself posted to RAF Lossiemouth it's a real treat driving through Scotland, it truly is an amazing place, might take the plunge ourselves as not too far from retirement, enjoy your lovely new home.
Thank you so much! Loving it so far ❤️ Scotland would be a wonderful place to retire.
Loving your videos , please keep us updated when you have time , thank-you for sharing with us , wishing you all the best best in your new home and life in Bonnie Scotland 🏴, take care x
Thank you ❤️ Yes, we’ll definitely provide an update once moved in and settled.
Hi again, sorry, I'm binge watching not stalking. I've just found your videos so engaging, heartwarming and funny! Congrats on your new home and warmest wishes that you all settle in well.
We love having return viewers and are happy to hear you’re enjoying! We follow a few UA-camrs as well:) ❤️
So glad to have come across your channel! Thank you for sharing, loving what you have done to your home so far.
We are also (a family of 5 and) weeks away from moving to Scotland from the South West in the UK, we cannot wait as it has been a year in the making coming backwards and forwards! We are so ready for it to be permanent 🎉
Good luck in your Scottish adventures and look forward to joining along on your journey via UA-cam x
So happy to have you joining! What part of Scotland are you moving to? Love hearing from others going through similar things ❤️
This sounds heavenly!!
These are great ideas! Will do :) Already have the new flower pots as well!
I just found your channel and thoroughly enjoyed this video! I have been to Scotland once and enjoyed that beautiful country. Thanks for bringing “us” along this journey!
Thanks for joining!
It's lovely to see your channel growing and these gorgeous videos. You guys are so sweet and I'm haply things are going well 😊
Thank you so much, Hannah! We appreciate the kind words. I sure do miss watching all of your thoughtful videos ❤️ Hope you’re doing well! - Annie
Found your videos a few days ago. We are really enjoying following you.
We moved to North East Scotland from the south of England last year. Love seeing the places you visit and your home updates and decor. x
Thanks for watching and for sharing! So glad to hear that you’re enjoying. Scotland is a special place ❤️
I like your cottage, your refurbishments and decorating are appealing and sympathetic. Congratulations!
Thank you ❤️
Beautiful home! I love the fireplace and stairs. The kitchen is great and an awesome stove.
Thank you! We’re thrilled to see it all coming together ❤️
The in-laws are absolutely wonderful people, and we owe them so much. We are so glad to be able to raise the kids near them ❤️
Congratulations!! Such a pretty home..I'm glad I found your channel!
@@debbiemeza4658 Thank you! ❤️
I just found y'all. What a great story. Will be following your videos.Thank you for sharing.
How fun to watch the progress...
Looks amazing. Love the cottage feeling!
Thanks so much!
Zach - your accent is coming back! 😀
Slowly but surely!!
A very warm welcome to Scotland! Great choice! Your home is beautiful.
Thank you!!
That house is great! Excited to see what all you do with it!
Thanks, Willie! I’ll send more videos 😉
Thank you so so much! We’re loving it here. We are just south of Edinburgh ❤️
@@SimpleScottishLiving beautiful area. At least I don’t think you get midges there.
What a very likeable pair. I enjoyed this after it was rather randomly recommended to me because you are so pleasant.
Over my dead body would I leave sunny Cali for anywhere in the UK, tho!
Haha to each their own, but we get it! I’m sure we’ll have some minor doubts after our first winter here 😅 Thanks for watching!
A large cutting board for over the sink, that when using the sink can easily just set on the open counter and the original prep space isn’t lost! Love this tour! It’s beadboard in the US.
Great idea! Will have to pick one of those up. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching! ❤️
Welcome to Scotland I’m sure you will settle in soon, good luck and I hope the kids are happy here also 🏴 great idea with the extra toilet
Thank you!! Thrilled to be here ❤️
I’m glad I found your channel and look forward to seeing you make it your home. I’m in East Tennessee. Our nephew just got back home to Tennessee from a two week vacation in Scotland! 😊
Thanks for watching! Been to East Tennessee quite a few times and love it there ❤️
You are making a beautiful home ~ I love the colour of the woodwork x
Thank you so much ❤️
Congratulations 🎉 wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous life in your beautiful new home 🏡 im sure you'll be settled in no time. Loving the colour scheme and those light's are gorgeous ❤
Thank you for the well wishes and compliments! You’re welcome back anytime 😉❤️
Moving to Scotland from England. We have so many questions thank you for the video. You both are so lovely 😊
Thank you! Feel free to ask us anything :) Happy to answer!
We also went on fb marketplace to get lighting as the neighbor had taken the newer ones 😂
Yes they do that there.
We found a mirror at the thrift store and our bathroom by the front door was quite similar to yours. ❤
Fun reminiscing.
You’ll be very happy there; the houses layout is wonderful.
We feel so fortunate to have found this place when we did! It’s working out well so far ❤️
The colors are terrific! Looks great.
Thank you ❤️
Welcome to Scotland guys, nice cottage, definitely made the right choice with the extra toilet & sink, interested to know what you’ll do for work over here 😊
Thank you! We’ll probably share that down the road once we see how this channel evolves :)
Omg I love the panelling and colours in the hall😍😍 stunning 🤍
Thank you!! We tried so many different choices 😅
Thank you so much! Yes, the sink is a huge improvement, and we definitely don’t regret that decision. So happy ❤️
Such a cute cottage! I have a family of 7 in just about the same square footage, it’s totally doable especially when the space is used efficiently.
Thank you! Yes, it’s all about the storage solutions and furniture configuration. Can’t wait to find a place for everything! Thanks for watching ❤️
Wow, we had no idea. Thank you for the heads-up!!
Welcome to the UK. I hope it isn't too stressful familiarising yourself with all our idiosyncrasies, peculiarities and general downsizing and slower pace of life.
Only slightly stressful but so worth it! We couldn’t be happier with this change of pace ❤️
Looks great....You both look so happy...Welcome to Scotland !
Thank you! We’re truly enjoying it and so happy to get to raise our children here ❤️
Thank you for showing us round your new house.
Nice one wearing sunglasses in cloudy Scottish weather. Clinging onto those Californian vibes by your fingertips. 😆🌧
🤣 It’s been incredible weather since we moved. We’re hoping summer sticks around!
Wishing you every happiness in your new home. It’s going to be lovely!
Thank you! ❤️
Congratulations on the house! It’s coming along real nice and looking so cute! I love the colors you’ve chosen!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! We are loving making it our own and cannot wait to get all of our belongings in. There’s something so cathartic about seeing our home come together even if it is a lot of work 😅
Congratulations! I sure miss seeing you all the time at BBC but I am so happy seeing you and your journey! Thanks for bringing me along with you ❤
Awe, thank you!! BBC was the best! Hope all is well with you and the fam ❤️
What a wonderful place! I wish you & your family much happiness there!
Thank you so much! 😊
oh my goodness what a journey you are having achieving so much in such a short amount of time good luck.
A little each day!!
We actually had a Cape with a basement, it could fit into my living room but IS STILL my favorite home. I balled my eyes out when we sold it. The carpet on the stairs, we did a Hollywood tuck, which is stapled under the ledge of the run to define it.
I love your new home. I actually loved the bright yellow on the stairs though I would have gotten very tired of it I’m sure.
We loved the tartan! It wasn’t holding up well though, so we decided to start fresh :)
You are making your new home so beautiful. Loving the colour choices. X
Thank you so much!
It’s the Tartan Hoose. Congratulations ❤
Thank you!! We loved the tartan. We want to find a way to bring it back in somewhere 😊
Could you place a tartan door mat as you walk in maybe like a nice Scottish welcome?
