Great trip report! I think the decent legroom makes the 3-4-3 configuration a lot more pleasant. Years ago I had 2 flights on United 777-200 planes which had the 3-3-3 seating and it was excellent.
Yep. That and the recline. And yeah I completely agree with you on United, having taken 3 different UA 777-200 flights back when they had that configuration. Such a shame they jumped on the 3-4-3 bandwagon but it was probably inevitable.
I flew on Air New Zealand from Gatwick UK to LAX, before Air New Zealand stopped flying to the UK., awesome flight/service/flight crew and food. Have flown on Air New Zealand to FiJi and Australia on various type of aircraft, enjoyed your flight review., nice video footage dude!🛫👍
Is your flight to Auckland 95% full or busy, do you remember how much you pay to fly Air New Zealand from Los Angeles to Sydney via Auckland, does it include seat selection for free or a fee, how's transit security in Auckland and how's Los Angeles, did you enjoy your trip?
@@kevin19358 Most of the answers are the same as on the other video you commented on, as this flight was on the same group trip. Transit security was actually super quick in Auckland, quickest I’ve seen in an airport of that size.
Did your seatmate opted for beef? Is that your longest flight in your life, 12 hours in the air with the distance of 10 000km? That's funny, my longest flight is China Eastern, Boeing 777-300ER that I flew for the 1st time last year in June from Shanghai to London, 11 and a half hours, but the distance is 9 200km, shorter than NZ5, distance is 10 000km more than my flight, MU551, but the cabin is hot because there is no air vent.
@@kevin19358 I don’t remember what my seat mate ordered, unfortunately. And yeah this is the longest flight of my life. Must be tough to fly 11 hours with no air vents though!
I see. Yeah newer widebody plane don't have air vent and it makes the cabin warm and a little uncomfortable on a long haul flight. AIr New Zealand's longest flight is Houston, 13 hours on the Boeing 777-300ER, that's a little uncomfortable without air vent and warm cabin.
@@duaneowens7777 Sorry for late response. I don't remember them checking carry ons at the gate, and they probably didn't need to given that it was a 777. What I meant was that they asked me to check my bag at the check in counter (I had to go back over there with my tour group, long story).
Great video mate

Oh yeah I remember when they were doing that route. Wonder if they'll ever bring it back. Thanks for watching!
Just wondering, were you aware that on AirNZ you can request more complimentary snacks & drinks, during most of the flight, through the IFE screen?
@@Kiwibikerbuddy I was not aware of that actually. I saw the feature but assumed it was only for their standard service. Thanks for letting me know!

At 7:36 You meant to say LX39, as LX41 is the one going LAX-ZRH
It was corrected with a caption in that same timestamp

Hi we're they strict with the bag weight
@@duaneowens7777 kind of… they did ask me to check the bag that I used as a carry on previously, but it was free.
@@K4Ediamond oh you mean they were checking in carry ons at the gate. I love when they do that especially if you have a heavy carry on bag

Hi I like your video
Turkısh Airlines🇹🇷🇹🇷
You chose apple juice when you could have had, whisky, gin and tonic, red wine, white wine, when you are flying there are no rules 😀😀
That horrendous purple lighting .... no way
Well we all have our own opinions. I personally like the lighting. Thanks for watching!
I think you’re about the only one ever to dislike the purple lighting
