Exactly. These idiots that back the corrupt cops won't get it until they have their rights violated when they did nothing wrong. This entire police department and prosocuters office should be in jail. And then throw the police chief in as well. She took "corrective" action toward this lying officer. Yah, right. Hopefully this is big enough this time to bring about real change.

@705michaelwilliams- 100% agree. It must be nice to be Scotty scheffler; officer is disciplined, chief is holding press conferences, charges soon to be dropped.
This crap happens all the time. Emotionally unstable with a badge and a gun. Detailed data should be collected on every officer everyday; this would help id problem officers. Officers should have to provide their own insurance so tax payers aren’t left holding the bag when they are sued.

I've had encounters with cops like this and they are the ones who give all the rest a bad name. This kind of power tripping cop who abuses their authority must be weeded out and I'll guarantee you that he has many complaints against him throughout his career if you go back and check his record. My prediction is that all charges not only will be dropped by Scheffler's attorney will file a lawsuit against this police department. This was kidnapping. It's that simple.

LMPD has had over 40 million dollars paid out from 2017 to 2023. They have been investigated by the FBI for it. The Justice Department report said the Louisville police department “discriminates against Black people in its enforcement activities,” uses excessive force and conducts searches based on invalid warrants.(Jan 25, 2024) Now not one officer on scene had their mandatory body camera working that day. Cameras that they got to help combat its many issues

Typical gestapo behavior of the police, I am just glad he didn't shoot Scottie. If there was footage of the whole incident I am sure it wouid show the officer holding his gun. He didn't activate his camera because he didn't want it filmed, period. They will investigate themselves and find no wrong doing by the officer, even if he had shot Scottie.

  • @garywarren6285

Personally knowing several ethical police officers, they love the body camera's. The problematic ones hate them. According to reports the badge bearer in this case is of the former category, and has a side "investigative" business, which is also a big red flag. The video available refutes the claim of assault and injury. That City and Dept. had best hope that Scotty Scheffler's irrefutable good nature prevents him from suing them for tens of millions in actual damages, plus even more for punitive damages. By the way, that idiot Prosecutor is not helping things at all.

All other cars were not moving at all, it would be difficult for Scottie to have driven recklessly as the report suggests. If Scottie had indeed dragged a police officer before the video footage, it stands to reason that other officers would have reacted immediately. Given their training to respond quickly to such incidents, we would expect to see officers running towards the scene or already engaging with Scottie before the video starts. The absence of this reaction suggests that the dragging incident may not have occurred before the video.
The officer seen running towards Scottie's car and slamming his wrist against the window appears uninjured and capable of fast movement. This behavior is inconsistent with someone who has just been dragged by a vehicle, as such an incident would likely result in visible injuries or at least impair the officer's ability to move quickly.
The fact that Scottie's window was closed complicates the allegation that he dragged the officer. For an officer to be dragged by a car, there would typically need to be some form of physical connection, often through an open window or door. A closed window suggests that such a connection might not have been possible, further casting doubt on the dragging claim.
The points above collectively suggest inconsistencies in the police report. The logistical issues with the closed window all point towards the possibility that the dragging incident did not occur as described in the report.

Is this why more and more people are now doing less and less for free for their Public-servants/Trustees whenever they want you to DO something for them?
    Them-` Give me your id` - `Answer our questions` - `Do what we tell you to do` - etc.,
You-`Yes, certainly (there is now an agreement to comply/obey/accommodate them) it’s just that we charge you $911 for remedy to DO that for you and because we have NO-CONFIDENCE with you administrating our Trust, payment must be with us immediately and any further communicating with us is with you accepting the deal, thank you`
Please remember that THEY are NOT volunteers…..so why should YOU be?
The secret to dealing with your treacherous Trustees/paid Public-servants is just two words….CONDITIONAL acceptance.
Would it not be best to be the polite BUSINESS-man….NOT the victim?
