Thanks for sharing the techniques you're using. I loved the time lapse towards the end, really helps understand what you doing and the techniques. That trailer is starting to look good 👍
It always amazes me to see how beautiful the Airstreams you polish look! You've definitely mastered the technique. Is there a product you use to seal the aluminum once polished to help keep it looking great? Do you think Rainex is a good or bad idea? Keep the videos coming please!
Thanks for the video. Question regarding your links, you are using the Milwaukee grinder & orange wheel but your links are for DeWalt polisher & yellow wheel. Why the change?
Hey buddy I'm renovating an 83 right now. Are your links still good above? I need that polishing kit. Thanks for all the videos! They are very helpful!
It will always oxide and turn “dull”. You’ll need to polish the trailer around once a year if not treated. After this “heavy lifting” polish process, the trailer becomes easier to polish and won’t require as much effort. There are products out there to coat the polished aluminum to help slow the oxidation process. However, yes, you will need to keep polishing it from time to time.
Great polishing technique Ian you've definitely mastered that! I can't wait to see the finished product! Do you have afilliate links to the UK amazon I'm going to buy some of that polishing stuff and it would be great to help you out with some commission
Once u sand it correctly and cut it It will shine like new if u sat there u can burn it but it’s unlikely and can be fixed as where paint has to be repainted this just needs to be Re sanded
How do we Price these jobs?? I go to look at my 1st stream to give an estimate on. 1967 27ft. Epic video dude. Thanks for sharing !! New sub here. Cheers

Thanks for the video. Question regarding your links, you are using the Milwaukee grinder & orange wheel but your links are for DeWalt polisher & yellow wheel. Why the change?
Both will work Milwaukee is just better bc spins faster
What grit are you using with the Sct drum? I have a 1968 and a 240 grit is not giving it that mirror like shine on initial cut???
What kind of wax do you use? Is a mask necessary?
Do you wash it forat if it been sitting for years? If so whats the best way to wash the airstream off and get it ready for polishing .?
What year is this ? I know year 1998 or lower year is thin aluminum and 1999 up is thicker
