Why don't you lock them?
Imo locking tuners aren't worth the effort of installing them. They don't affect the tone and they make stretching the strings like Tommy does here more difficult. Sure, if you're as successful as Tommy you can definitely afford the tuners and could even afford to get someone to fit them for you, but to me anyway, it's a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
