In this video, I picked up the new Ace AF1 size 60 trucks with a blue/ orange gradient baseplate. They are practically no different from the 55's I got last year except the 60 is a brand new size. These trucks have an 8.75 inch axle. So now Ace offers trucks in every quarter inch across the 8's. Ace also came out with hollow lows at 49mm which is too short for me. I'm almost positive their next rendition of trucks will include hollow standards in 53mm height but they're just saving it for the future.

aces have been perfect for me so far, especially since I like my trucks a bit loose. re-threading axle nut and included rethreader is great since I land primo a lot

I have exactly this ACE AF1 truck in this color, the best truck I've ever used, it's incredible for cornering. The only thing I changed was the rubbers, which were very soft! 🇧🇷🛹❤️🔥👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻
I’ve Road every truck I’m 50 years old now. I still think indis just feel right. Can’t explain it. Just hop on a pair of hollows and it’s instant comfort. Shoot I rode thunders for 15 straight years. And still love them. Then Bought a set of aces seemed to squirrely so gave them to my son. And went back to indis. But I’m thinking I just might try them one last time. I love aces quality. They’re amazing shit. I ride two size boards 8.5 and 8.75. Well right on my dude 👍🏼

Going to get exactly these but I really don't know whether to get 44 or 55. I skate 8.5 mostly, sometimes smaller, might try even bigger ones in the future

I usually just put my new hanger on my old baseplates. I put the bushing back exactly how they were before that way they feel as close to old truck as possible
I ride the ace 55 with a 8.625 quasi and they b fittin nice

what size is your board?
I feel like if you're a taller, bigger, and have big feet, big boards are necessary to skate, its like if some avg height person skated a sk8 mafia micro board as a regular board. The landing surface makes such a difference
Anybody think Riot plugs could fit the Aces. My Surf Rodz TKP are getting warned down and the Surf Keys (similar to Riot plugs) work like bueno for carving on ramps and Bowls. I heard that the classic Aces was almost as turning as the Surf Rodz. So maybe new AF1 is even better in turn vs lean. Most will probably say aahh riots it for downhill riding only.

My guess is Spitfire Formula 4 Conical Fulls. 58mm wore down some and hence having a wider contact patch. That would be my guess.

I've always wanted to try them but they're just too got dayum tall for me, I used to ride thunder's and now I ride indy mid's, I can't ride a standard indy either because they're also too tall for me augh

I got the Indy titanium's in 8.75 on an 8.5 deck. Perfection.
Do you get overhang on that board size?

@@lucidityfps9638 it's up to you. I ride my trucks pretty tight so I don't get wheel bite much
i gotta get my hands on some AF1 60 I normally ride stage x 159s and I've tried a couple sets of venture 6.1s but I definitely want to run ace 60s on a 8.8-9.25 shaped deck for that extra turn/fun for slappy's and transition skating. I run 8.75" on 8.38 decks too I have no issues with overhang I love the extra room for lockins and slasher grinds
Are they too small for an 8 or 8.5?
@@lucidityfps9638 They are 8.75 trucks. Most of the modern street wheels that I've skated such as Powell Dragons and Bones subtract 1/8". So, if you put 8.75 trucks on a 8.5 deck, the wheels pretty much line right up with the edge of the deck. Yes, the axle will stick out a little, but, I prefer to have the edges of my wheels line up with the edges of the deck rather than matching it to the end of the axle and having the wheels in a little. 159s are the sweet spot for me. I just ordered some Ace 60s. Really, I wanted the 66s for a 9" deck, but, they were sold out. I'll try 60s on an 8.75 deck for the time being.

just get some bones bushings
Get the ACE Hard bushings. They are perfect. Stock bushings are too loose for me

Size wheels you use?
I think they are Spitfire Conical Formula 4s. Size unknown. Look like bigger ones to me. Maybe 58mm worn down smaller.

Trucks shouldn't be wider than the board for better turning
Street wheels usually don't extend to the edge of the axle. So, you are better off upsizing and matching the edge of the wheel to the edge of the deck.
