Hi David, how do you deal with events setting caps on the number of freeze dried businesses, almost like they do with MLM companies like Pampered Chef or Color Street, at events like a limit of 1 or 2. I am just getting started and I am finding almost every event has freeze dried "full" when I go to apply. I understand not wanting to have multiple people selling the same products but freeze driers all sell different things. I am feeling a little frustrated as I was hoping to do some shows this spring and Im struggling to find one that isnt already "full" for freeze driers. Is this something you've encountered? Do you think it would be worth asking the event coordinators why they are limiting? Any help would be appreciated!
State of NH caps homestead/cottage food income at 35K. Otherwise you need a licence. Also, you need a license if intending to sell over the internet or wholesale. Just some extra hoops (and expenses) to jump through if you want to start up in NH. Probably means less competition in the state.
Wow that’s a bummer capping it that low but also can help push everyone to either take the business more seriously within commercial or just stay small

@@freezedriedbusiness I’ve been watching your videos to help me understand freeze drying before purchasing the machine. I don’t know if I had missed it on one of your videos but what are the limitations with online selling, is it the same as the cottage food laws?
Some states allow you to sell online under cottage food as long as it stays in the state for shipping. I'd check with your states cottage food laws and see if selling online is allowed.
