    BugPowderDust: Make sure you don't have buildings around the canteen
    Also him: (plans a cell block next to the canteen)
    But otherwise it's a great video! Gives me some basic idea on what to do

    I like to imagine that the psychologist is himself that kind of depressed type that is hated by every coworker. So he is resignated to working in an office apart from everyone and without electricity

    Wouldn't it make more sense to have staff rooms in separate areas away from where the prisoners are?

    Thanks for putting these up. I'm coming back to this game from a long absence. Wasn't quite sure what to build starting off.

    These are great tutorials for new architects like myself, Clear and all round informative. I think you have quite a likeable personality and a calming voice. If I were to offer any constructive criticism, I would say shorten the videos a little and plan ahead, plan out the points you are going to cover and keep them concise, that way you are never stuck for things to talk about (which you generally weren't anyway) But overall, great videos. I would like to see a more advanced tutorial for programs, CCTV etc... Keep up the good work!

      Hi- thanks for the comments. I am always interested in feedback. I have made 3 "beginners/intermediate" guides before, and they all were one hour...so I thought cutting them in half was going to be enough. I guess I was caught between keeping a flow, and breaking into smaller episodes of ten minutes or so.
      The points to cover list was something I considered, but there are so many overlapping parts (esp. once the prisoners arrive), I thought I'd just go with it. Harder to index/ provide structure for, so can be frustrating for the viewer if they just want to know about something in particular.
      I will do an advanced version covering the items you mention, and I will be able to compartmentalise those, so thanks for the idea :)

    I never thought of shower drains working like that. Thanks! Are you sure capacitors double the power produced? I think it just adds a fixed amount. That's what it appears to do anyway. And I never thought of putting beds and TVs in the holding cell. Good tip!

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  9 років тому

      Glad you're enjoying it :) I may have misinterpreted the capacitors, but I've not looked that closely at it!

    Useful information about the drains. I've been using them like you would in the real world, and wondering why the water still goes everywhere. :-))

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  4 роки тому

      Yeah quite, in RL they floor slants toward drains, but in PA, assume not!!

      @BugPowderDust  8 років тому +1

      MrPresident _V16 tempted, but it changes so much from patch to patch, I am waiting until it settles down a little. Alpha 16 release is a case in point!

    Nice video man really helpful. However I must point out that's not a prison, it's summer camp... I mean you just did anything possible for the inmates to be happy... Aren't they supposed to be "prisoners" :D ?

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  9 років тому +4

      Heh heh, I take your point :) as the game punishes me if i don't keep them happy, it makes life easier to keep the crims happy. However , any who attack the dogs get a very hard time ;-)

    How much would i have to wait mins/hours or days.. For 1 year sentence to finish in game?

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  6 років тому

      There is no finish, it's an open ended game. You can sell the prison you've made and use the money on your next prison.

    • @morse8622
      @morse8622 6 років тому

      No, i mean if my prisoner has a 1 year prison sentence.. How long would i need to wait in the REAl WORLD before they release him cause 1 second in the game is 1 min so 1 min in game is 1 hour.. So how much is 1 year sentence gonna last.. Time in the real world

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  6 років тому

      @@morse8622 That's a good question! I think the sentences don't track in the same way as 1 sec=1 minute. Also, they will probably get out on parole much earlier anyway

    • @morse8622
      @morse8622 6 років тому

      @@BugPowderDust so if they don't track like 1 sec 1 minutes then.. They just have randomly generated numbers? For every sentence?

    • @BugPowderDust
      @BugPowderDust  6 років тому

      @@morse8622 No idea :)
