Thanks for all of your fitness videos. I'm a Marine Corps combat infantry vet of Vietnam who keeps on tickin. I really appreciate the motivation from your videos about improving running and rucking. I keep trying.
I just wanted to say thanks for the training tips and advise. As of today, I am now part of the North Metro SWAT team. Your tips and advise gave me more variation to my endurance/running work and it paid off big time. It was 48 hours of hell… The only thing the Operators could not do during the evolutions was drown us since we do not work in water. Keep up the great content brother!
Location - 82nd Airborne Museum at Ft Bragg? My dad jumped out of a C-119 like that one with the 187th in Korea.. Mad memories when I took him there once.
Hey, thanks man was wondering about this myself, didnt know what was happenning, couldnt get in proper workouts out of sheer demotivation and exhaustion, thanks man.
About 2 weeks ago I was approached by my new CO and asked if I wanted to go to ranger school in January... like 2 weeks from now. I of course said yes and have been scrounging to get everything off my packing list together. I was just about to get a rangerpack and I saw that you had uploaded this video, I watched it when it was newly posted "1 hour ago" and thought to myself. Nah I shouldn't comment, probably won't win. But my wife is pushing me to, thankfully I have her. Hoping to knock out ranger school then middle of next year go to SFRE then on to SFAS. Best wishes, thanks for all the tips.
Love the content, Brother. Your energy and attitude are infectious. Big time fan. Serious question, do you have a private barber? How is the hair line so perfect in all of your videos, man?
i was sick back in summer of 2021, because i have no trails near my house nor decent grass patches, so im stuck doing pure concrete rucking and runs lol pure shin splints but i love all of it
Your videos are awesome. Great motivation and great tips. I left the mil at 160lbs and got in a car wreck & was left badly injured and went up to 240+lbs from depression after some inner struggles and persevarance I'm now down to 200. Thanks for keeping us going with your vids! 👍💪
Thanks for the info! Still training at least 3-4 days a week. Rucking with kit and helmet at least 3 of those days. Feeling healthy, still managing them damn diabetes though 😭
Dang… I have almost all those symptoms of over training. Thanks for the video! What would you say the balance of pushing yourself vs rest would be. I’m shipping out to basic as an 18x in two weeks so I’ve been putting my body through hell for the past three months. I’ve had rest days in there and some lighter weeks, but I’m feel like I’ve hit a wall right now. Even after two days of rest I still feel pretty beat up.
@@GrittySoldier I've definitely been eating to much fat. many days I'm at 40-50% of my diet. As far as calories I've been averaging 3500 per day. On big days I can eat up to 4600. lol You should see our food budget. Can't wait til the military is footing that bill. I'll try adjusting my macros and getting more carbs. Thanks for the reply!
Huh. Just found this video today. Love all your stuff dude, super informative and easy to digest. I thought I wasn't pushing even half as hard as I should be lol but it looks like I've been seriously overtraining for a couple weeks now, guess I have to take a break if I want proper results. Thanks for putting this out, you're still helping idiot kids who think they're invincible like myself lol
I definitely do not. You need to train up your feet and get them tough. Don’t pop your blisters when your training, let them heal naturally and callus. I would only recommend tape if problems occur during a long March (like a popped blister and severe chaffing)
Ive been working out hard my whole life, I've never overtrained till now. It sucks getting old im only doing 3 murphs 1 molly and a couple of rucks a week....
What type of training should I be doing to be in the best shape for the army? I have always been into traditional weightlifting/bodybuilding but I feel like the army is more CrossFit style as I have seen this within my ROTC as well. Any tips or advice?
Calisthenics, running, and rucking. Muscle endurance is the name of the game. Combine strength and endurance. You'll honestly be better off than 90% of everyone else at BCT.
I feel like you just described me. I was tired yesterday, puffy and felt bloated even though I train 2 times per day. I haven't been sleeping. I drank a Red Bull and swallowed 800 ibuprofen, 325 mg iron meds and ate a pack of milk duds. I also collapsed during the SDC(ACFT). I've been so exhausted, lately.
i was on your website just bought a shirt the no one cares work harders which is a brilliant shirt, i was wondering if your gonna make a rasp program i would think it would be as tough as the ranger school program or harder will that be in the near future ?

Oh and SWAT school is next. Lol
Congrats on the success brother! 🤘 keep that shit up!
Got arthritis in both knees and ankles. First time running without music last week and heard all the cracking. Great vid will rest easy this week.
My favorite post so far. Did that route for my 12 milers when I was stationed at Bragg.

Just a little rest will do wonders!

It might be your diet. Make sure you’re getting enough calories and that your getting enough carbs to sustain your energy.

I went into a straight coma today I slept for 12 hours and still felt bad when I woke up I think I’m skipping the gym today.
I just had the same thing happen to me. I’ve recently started running to get in shape for BT. These last few days I’ve been absolutely dead.
Sir do you wrap your feet before a 12 miler? Any advice? Based on your experience?
I definitely do not. You need to train up your feet and get them tough. Don’t pop your blisters when your training, let them heal naturally and callus. I would only recommend tape if problems occur during a long March (like a popped blister and severe chaffing)
Hey man, Would you recommend doing your training program before getting the vaccine if we have to?
I don’t think it matters, the vaccine shouldn’t affect the training either way.

Ft. Bragg right next to where you mob and demob. Was there last year.
I'm a beginner runner and I did and paying the consequences now. Ran too much 2 days in a row. And now my right left hip flexor is all sore.
