- Today Tonight (Adelaide) Interview With James Morley & Former AC/DC Band Members Mark Evans & Simon Wright About The Bon But Not Forgotten Shows They Have Put Together And Are Doing Across Australia In July 2017!
SHOWS INFORMATION!
The Closest you will ever get to AC/DC in the 70's. This show brings together some of the worlds greatest rockers to pay tribute to the legend behind one of the world’s greatest ever bands, AC/DC, and their iconic singer Bon Scott who celebrates his Birthday on July 9th .
Featuring a knock-out line-up, including 3 past members of AC/DC and other Aussie rock icons, The Angels and The Poor, this band knows how to electrify a crowd with its explosive repertoire of AC/DC's greatest hits.
Not content with just performing a 'Best Of' set, the band also focuses on some gems that aren't commercial in nature, but true fans will love to hear them live, some for the first time. This show replicates the sound, style and passion of AC/DC, without pretence.
It is quite simply THE most natural sounding AC/DC performance of any band, other than AC/DC themselves. There is no other band on earth that can perform the show like these carefully selected musicians.
The line-up features the consummate talents of:
Simon Wright - Joined AC/DC after the departure of Phil Rudd in 1983
Mark Evans - Performed on some of history's greatest rock albums including TNT , Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and Let There Be Rock
Tony Currenti - Played drums on may of the bands first albums tracks including High Voltage
James Morley - Former bassist with ARIA Hall of Fame band - The Angels
SKENIE - One of Australia's hardest rocking frontmen from The Poor
And introducing international youtube legend "Solo Dallas" - known for his ability to replicate and feel Angus Young's guitar playing like no other.
He has a massive following online, and has sold his own brand of guitar pedals to almost every major guitar hero around the world, including Angus Young himself.
Special Guests: Live Wire
The band was hand-picked due to their authenticity and passion for playing the music of AC/DC.
These guys hail from Perth WA and will be performing the entire Back in Black album from start to finish. A great act not to be missed.

" and I said I can sing".. yea Bon.. you definitely could mate...
Mark Evans is very nice person. Would be honor to meet him.
Love Bon's expressions
Simon is my favorite AC/DC drummer. He sounded great in the studio and was an amazing live performer, too.
Simon Wright made AC/DC so cool in the 80s
@@westernsellers9148 I thought so, too :) I miss hearing him play.
Who Made Who the album is great with Simon's drumming.
Phil rudd still best time keeper
Went to Kirriemuir Bon’s hometown , amazing . He was and still is an icon in music . He never forgot his roots . Grew up listening to his music and it influenced me massively . Thank you to everyone who helped him make it . I ow3 you . Paul from england
I met a Mexican kid that looks just like bon scott, it was freaky crazy I had to stop him and tell him n he just smiled looking at me like who’s bon Scott .
Mark Evans great bass player but very short tenure but played on Let there be rock and anyone on that album = instant legend :) . Also played on my favourite DC song Its a long way to the top from High Voltage
misfit actually your talking about the wrong album! They were talking about the Australian high voltage, but Mark Evans was on their second album T.N.T. With long way to the top, you guys got a bit of the Australian high voltage album from 1975 and T.N.T. From 1975 To make your international high voltage which came out in 76
Yo Wodup I don’t know all the different releases but he is on my version of High Voltage which features It’s a long way to the top
I love let there be rock its incredible song and album. High voltage to is up there I love simon in fly on the wall amazing incredible album and band members to brian voice on fly on the wall is incredible he hit the notes. Its lovely to see both mark and simon well and happy and that they are keeping safe and sound. Love to see more of them hear more of them to. Very humble people true gentlemen and they seem to really enjoy being in acdc in the past.
@@lisascarrott6142 👍😁
Amazing thanks for showing this never forget the past band members of acdc
Bon was the man
Great interview and excellent clips.
BON was Acdc
Mark Evans has been playing bass again, would be great to see him playing with Angus and Phil Rudd again.
Go see Rose Tattoo!
Lol Bon 5'5 but he had the biggest balls in rock n roll fuckin badass love u Bon
This is wonderful! How could we ever forget!
😅
Sad part about it is that Bon died alone on a cold night in a friend's car. Damn Rip Bon!
Excellent - Excellent AC/DC history !!!!
Love him still. Named my son Bonn
Al Kehrer
Hope you spelt it right
Best band ever .
I think all the former AC DC Members could start their own band.
International Art Projects technically it would be AC/DC...
And what a show you blokes put on at the Astor here in Perth, epic doesn't cut it....we had a blast.
They did one up in Darwin NT . . usually nobody went up there cause of the temp etc . . it was a corker
When the time comes for AC/DC to retire...as a fan I'D love for them to get Simon and Mark, Phil (since it looks like he is out again) and all the guys up on stage and go out with AC/DC Thunder :)
Phil Rudd was a drumming machine like a clock timepiece. Perfect for the band.
I liked Simon best as there back up drummer. He hit harder and was good at the timing as needed.
Chris spade is good. But my least favorite. Not a bad thing just my opinion.
@Ivan the werewolf lmao it's Slade
Simon Wright always had a closer groove to Phil. Best of the understudies.
Simon was/is also an old mate of Stone Roses drummer Reni...
Always felt that Simons last record with the band 'Blow Up Your Video' (1988) was arguably his best work, as he was gelling in perfectly with Cliff and Malcolm. But I understood his reasons for leaving in '89 and he has no regrets about it.
Bon is Acdc
There is an open spot at bass for AC/DC right now. Now is the time for Angus to give Mark Evans a call
**Never ever going to happen. Current AC/DC were strong armed by a court of law to settle with Mark Evans regarding royalty from his valuable time and work with the band. They of course felt he deserved next to nothing at the time of his dismissal in 1977. The courts Rightfully sided with Mark and he got paid which Forever Bittered current AC/DC.... That's the real deal.
Cheers 🍺🍺
@@ColdSmokes his book only made matters worse as well.
@Bad Boys Boogie
Mark alluded to this in his book but could not go into detail on legal grounds.
Hello you two, do the call to Angus and do the record. Simon and Mark got the AC/DC feel. Okay, Phil is good, but if he can´t or Angus does not want him, I would look forward to Simon. I never missed anything in drum-playing when Simon came into the band. There was just other sound in the eighties, but Simon`s playing was as good as Phil´s. So Simon, take the phone and do the call. I would be very glad. I wait fo new AC/DC music, "Black Ice" impressed me so much in 2008, as much as the classic albums. And on "Who made who" Simon really found a great own style.
(Maybe you do recordings with Simon and Phil.)
Stefan
witam rodaku
thankyou for sharing this 🙂
I'd rather see this than Axl/DC
Backlashed yup!
I had no idea Simon Wright was this young, he was 19 when he joined AC/DC.
Just finished a book about Bon and sadly he was a full blown alcoholic who also used heroin.
Those around him weren't surprised by his death but were deeply saddened 😢
Sounds like Icey Dicey with that accent. : )
It's crazy how Simon looks the same as in 1983
Bon IS AC/DC....
Bridge Hotel July 14th & 15th will be the place to be when these boys blow the roof off with hours of Acca Dacca !!! can't wait
would be great if Simon joined the band again.
Really like Simon
@@Looking4lightning I really like Phil!!
The sticky tape was to conceal his receding hair. ...
the 1 and only son of bon. ....
How are you the one son of bon?
I didn't know Steve Irwin was in AC/DC
lol
Always liked Simon!!!
Lol we're not allowing Fil to wear shorts! What a line up. If bands did 2nd XII then these guys would be on the bench. Question is coach, do you wanna make a sub?
Fil, as good as the little man himself :)
2:34 What is this XD??? Mark or Simon
Hmm...AC/DC do need a bass player and most likely a drummer.
tArchStantont Chris Slade will be on drums if their is another Tour.
CentralCoastBoyz Not sure. He is 70 now. His stamina is not there anymore. If there are better options, I'm sure Angus goes with those.
+tArchStantont Being honest, Brian can't really sing very well, and Axl Rose is back with GNR.
+ImperialRadioYT Also, I didn't mean that in a hateful way to Brian. Look at his last concert. He sounded very flat.
Angus, Stevie, Axl, Mark and Simon would be a great AC/DC line-up
Simon wright was the 2 best drummer next to Phil Rudd acdc had
Sry All were the best ! Chris is Mr Thunderstruck !
@@motorrebell Chris Slade is their best, but Phil is just Ac/Dc's natural drummer. if that makes sense. Simon is no slouch either. they're all good.
Simon is a great drummer but after a bit Ac/Dc new he wasn't for them in the long run.
Bon was just awesome and AC/DC were never the same without him, IMO.
Many bands talk about putting the Beatles into second place, or similar. Not don't get me wrong, I HATE the Beatles, but how do they measure this? Album sales - the Beatles weren't an albums band. Single sales? Most Beatles fans couldn't afford singles (or weren't allowed out to the shops in their own to buy one)!
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. - Acts 17:30-31
Dirt Bikes
I like better simon wright better than chris slade, just saying...
same
But Phil Rudd is best
Simon was the perfect replacement for Phil Rudd.
@@thomasfarmer1730 he didn't replace Phil. He just filled in for him while he was gone, Phil always wanted back
.....and??
What has Wright to do with Bon? Nothing ffs!! Not even close.
It's a tribute to Bon, non of the others apart from Mark have anything to do with him either
Simon made mistake of his life when he left for DIO`s band - so ...there is no way that he can come back ...
C. Slade is professional musician and there is no way that Angus wil change him for Simon.
And by the way , Mark is out of playing bass anymore, there is no way that he can quickly learn the songs from years after his departure and be able to make a tour - he is just to unprofessional for Angus .
Sooo girls and friends of both, just come down ....
Mark is AWESOME with ROSE TATTOO !
