Good morning Mike, excellent video, a really good idea. We are at war with the rodents around our property. It is a wet and windy day here, great day for having a look at the Kubota and the Honda. Have a great weekend, Ben 👋😎👍🪵🪓🔥🍻
@@whenworkisplay morning Ben. Yes this works really well. I also have a piece on the air intake on my F150 so they don’t nest in the air box. Cheers and have a good week.
How's she goin'? This is a great idea Mike. Keeping the critters out of those spots is a great plan and this screening should do the trick. Nice job cutting and shaping the mesh to fit like a glove! Take 'er easy!!
Nice job, Mike. I like it when people notice things and improve on them. Your air intake is located above the engine, where dust is prone to develop and get sucked into your filter. I ran into this problem when I had my cfmoto. I put a prefilter on the start of the intake. It slid on and off easy for cleaning, and I never had dust on my main filter again. Just for fun, start the machine and put your hand over the air intake. You'll be surprised at the suction it has. That screen will definitely keep out them pests.
@@OpenAirAdventureFirewood that’s a good point Kenny. It would be really easy to extend that up the headache rack for a snorkel type. Thanks for chiming in! Have a good week.
I am with you on taking something new apart. It is good to understand how something is made and how it came out the factory. That is a great idea to install the mesh. We have some feral cats which help too
Good Evening Mon Ami Mike 😇👍👍Nice Wood Stove 👍😇👌No, you are not wired differently Sir, You have to make sure that you are doing basic maintenance knowledge👌🧐These Mesh Wires Will Are Very Good 👍👍🧐🧐👌👌Be Well Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
Hey Mike, another good video! Definitely that time of year again when our toys sit for a while. I also do this for vents on the house. One year I had birds nesting in the kitchen vent. Now I cover any openings with wire. The plastic flaps that open when the exhaust fan starts are easily opened by birds.
@@mikeriester8798 hello Mike! Hope you’re well my friend. Yes great idea to have bathroom fans with spring dampers, helps a ton. Thanks for stopping by and having a watch. Cheers.
Good tips! rodents can be a real nightmare, especially with Equipment
@@fatefarmspa right! So annoying
Hi Mike! I know what you mean. I’m a retired millwright. I can’t help but take stuff apart. Good idea with the screen! Enjoy your weekend!

That’s a great tip, I’ve had to rip apart an engine because of a nest in the intake. Cheers Mike 🍻👍🏼🌴

@@GardenTractorBoy thanks Joseph. Yeah there are a few cats around but I guess they like eating more than hunting. Lol.
That's exactly what I do as well. Take care of your equipment and it'll take care of you 😊 well done

If you jamb a potato into the exhaust pipe, it will keep rodents out (and save fuel).
@@EverydayProjects lol
